Let me start by saying that I prefer local establishments over chain restaurants, and this place delivered!! I was so happy with my visit the first night of my business trip that I returned on the second night for more.
The restaurant - beautiful inside! I sat at a high top in the bar area the first night and at a table in the dining room the second. The music selection was great - upbeat and fun. No one minded that I pulled out my laptop to work.
The service - the service was fantastic both nights! Bryan the bartender took care of me on the first night when I sat in the bar and he was more than accommodating. My waitress Sherry in the dining room the second night made fantastic recommendations on the menu.
The food - there is something for everyone!!!! I everything on the menu looked amazing and it was hard to chose (so the recommendations from the staff were very helpful).
- Apps: I had an appetizer each night - crab cakes the first and the Brussel sprouts the second. Both were to die for and I could eat those two things together as a meal every day.
- Entrees: pizza the first night and seafood marinara the second. Hands down the seafood marinara came out on top (I'm more of a pasta person anyways).
**The quality of the seafood was excellent in both the app and entree
- Desserts: I splurged the second night and tried some macaroons - best I've ever had. All deserts seemed to be made in house (along with their bread which is made there fresh everyday).
- The bar: the bar itself is one of the most amazing things about this place, but the craft drink, wine and beer selection is really good.
Overall - I will likely be hitting this place up on my future visits to the area and may even make it the last place I go before I leave town.
I absolutely love it here! Everytime I've eaten here the staff has been pleasant and more than accommodating. And the food? There are absolutely no words to describe just how amazing the food is.
We recently had my Grandmother's memorial service at GreenFire and the owner and staff were beyond amazing. They went above and beyond to accommodate us, including the waiter offering to cut my food for me, as my hands were tied up nursing one of my twin newborns. The owner himself even came out on several occasions throughout the night to assist in serving and replenishing anything that needed it. I highly recommend this location for and occasion!
The best food in Rockford by far. I have been here many times and only had excellent experiences. I have had the pizza, duck, and blackberry lemon cake-all were superb! Our service has always been excellent! Tonight Ashley H was our waitress and she was awesome! The selection of craft beers and cocktails is also excellent! I got to drink my favorite beer, Sam Adam's Cold Snap, on draft tonight as well!
Food and atmosphere was amazing! The bacon chicken Alfredo was the best pasta dish I've ever eaten. Definitely recommend!
Great night with great service, food and ambiance. Crepes are amazing (each on the menu). Crab cakes were perfect. And, the restaurant offers Tripel Karmeliet on tap! One of our favorite restaurants around.
Very nice black bean burger was super good, excellent salad, crab cakes good, Chilean Bass not the best. Staff was very good atmosphere very nice.. really a great place and chocolates were super good too!! Worth it.
The salmon was outstanding. Our waitress was excellent. One of the best restaurants we've eaten at.

I love this place!!!
I went on Sunday afternoon with my best friend. We had salad pizza and seafood crepes. We also sampled 3 different deserts. Great food and great service. Will definitely go back
Food good service good...everything good! All around excellent!! Nice atmosphere! I’ll be back definitely! Bruschetta was excellent!! Bison was the best!! Definitely one of my favorites
Excellent service! Amazing food! We ate a smoked salmon omelette and the avocado smoked salmon eggs benedict. Don't miss dessert - creme brulee and a new item - orange chocolate thing. Don't miss either one!
