Several years ago we had a lovely meal here at Suzuki’s and based on my experience of Maine shrimp sushi alone (life affirming) we came back tonight while on holiday. Keiko killed it yet again. This sushi rivals some of the best and freshest we have had in Japan. Got the special salad of the night and the Omakase for two. Housemade ginger ice cream. Everything was spectacular. Especially the fresh uni, and hotate. Thrilled to see them so busy with both dine in and takeout. Be patient, great food takes time, love, and careful preparation. Make a reservation.

The food was amazing, but The unfortunate reason I gave them 4 stars is "people ordering take out." The staff is very small and they had a huge amount t of take-out orders coming in. I had to wait a long time to have service. Once I made my drink order I had to wait 15 min in before it came to the table. My food came at a reasonable time once the orders slowed down. I recommend this place but I suggest having reservations. The second time when I took my wife . Our experience was 10 times better. The service was quick and friendly. We got to the restaurant when it just opened so we had first dibs on seating. The food does not disappoint. Absolutely amazing!. I wish that they had a bit more help when they do get busy. I know at the time of us coming here, the middle of winter...I quess it's hard to find help and customers are kind of unpredictable.

Just AMAZING. WE LOVE WOMEN! This woman-led restaurant offered so many great options. The Chef’s Pick (Omakase) was amazing. Very diverse pic of sushi with plenty of sweet to savory flavors. Now. The dessert. Arguably some of the best I have tasted in awhile. The chocolate Mousse cake was AMAZING. Quite literally to die for. What seemed like a strawberry pudding mixed with a milkshake flavor was a light and yogurt-y with wonderful garnishes on top. Overall amazing experience and a huge thumbs up to Keiko!!!

My husband and I went out for date night. Our plans were to go elsewhere that evening; however, sushi came to mind for my husband, and he immediately took us to Suzuki's. The restaurant is very small. I do recommend that you call ahead and make reservations. They were able to take us without a reservation since we came before they became busy. I personally do not eat sushi, but my husband love's the sushi they offer. I did notice they have a takeout service, which is pretty convenient. Their food is delicious and packed with so much flavor. We both ordered a miso soup, which was good, but the broth was different than what I am used to, and they add shitake mushrooms to it. We also ordered a side of edamame. I ordered a house salad which was absolutely delicious. My husband and I plowed through that it was bursting with so much flavor. I know my husband ordered one of the specials, which was eel. I think that was his favorite. I'm not sure of the other sushi dish he ordered. My main dish was chicken teriyaki. Although the chicken was a little overcooked, the flavor and combination of vegetables made up for it. There were so many veggies in my dish and a few I've never had let alone heard of before, like a watermelon radish. The house made teriyaki sauce was so delicious. My taste buds were dancing. Don't let the bowl size fool you. I thought it was small initially, but that bowl is deep and packed with so many goodies. There were new veggies surfacing the further you got down in the bowl. One of the best chicken teriyaki dishes I've had despite the chicken being a little on the dry side. We finished our dinner with a delicious chocolate cream cake. That was divine. All in all, this is a place I would definitely go back to with my husband and order the same dish. The service was excellent, and the presentation was perfect. 5 star restaurant in my book.

Exceptional! You can't get sushi fresher than is, no matter where you go. Ordered the Omakase and was not disappointed. The chef outdid herself creating the most beautiful rolls, sashimi, and nigiri. It was almost too beautiful to eat. Absolutely gorgeous presentation, delicious food, attentive staff, creative plates - beyond what you could hope for. Extensive wine and sake list as well (although didn't partake.) Will definitely return!

Amazing, as always. We are so lucky to have such great sushi right here in Maine. We ordered the chef special and Keiko stepped in to make this amazing creation. I've never asked if she has a plan every day for these or just makes each one up to order, but either way it's always delicious, unique, and seasonal.

This sushi is to die for. It is the best sushi I have ever eaten in the US, period. It’s definitely pricey and getting a reservation here can be difficult, but it is worth the trouble and cost. If you can’t get a reservation, it’s a little easier to get takeout, but slots do fill up very fast for that as well.

Some of the best sushi& sashimi we’ve had outside of Japan. There were 4 of us, all ordered the omakase platter. It was superb. We misunderstood and thought they didn’t take reservations and were there when they opened. They told us that they were full,we walked away very disappointedly and then one of the staff ran out after us and said that they could fit us in. What a treat! Lovely staff, pleasant atmosphere and excellent food. We’ll be back!

This was hands down the best sushi experience my wife, son, and I have ever had. We are definitely sushi connoisseurs’ and Suzuki’s is bar none, the best all around atmosphere, sushi, and service we’ve ever received. The fresh, local, and homemade ingredients make a world of difference. Such a shame this is 1300 miles from home!

Fantasic sushi, such good presentation, good drink selection, fair pricing. Place was packed mid-week in the summer, make sure you get a reservation. Lots of locally sourced options and the staples you would expect at a Japanese restaurant.

Great dining experience & Vegan friendly :) The produce they use here is such high quality this vegan is in love. Also the wine & sake list is top notch and wont disappoint. To top it all off we have had good service over the few trips in but last time we met Megan and she was so delightful! She was patient, kind & helpful, timing our dishes perfectly so we could graze and chat enjoying the evening in length. We appreciate you Suzuki's and your team. Thanks!

I’ve been here a few times and I think it’s the best sushi I’ve ever had. The food is so fresh. The staff is friendly and super accommodating. They have gluten-free options including soy sauce.

Call ahead. Walk-ins are rare. Reasonable prices. Great service. Insure you take the garnishment with the sushi, it's the whole item not just the fish.

Absolutely perfect. The only con was the loud tourists. I fully intend to be a regular. Get the Omakase! Trust me.

This place came highly recommended from the resort we stayed at when we were looking for takeout sushi. The food seemed fresh and made well, but price was a little high for the size of the rolls.

Loved this place, very accommodating even though we didn't have a reservation. Usually very busy so you may want to get a reservation. Probably the best vegan sushi we've ever had, served quickly and presented beautifully. our server was exceptional, and very helpful. We will definitely come back next time we're in Rockland.

Fantastic! Best sushi I've had in Maine for sure! I love the tobiko and uzuro and you can't find it anywhere else around here.
