This place has been on my radar for quite some time, but never made the trek there for one reason or another. However, my buddy and I made it a point to get here today as we were both craving some good Pastrami. Let me start right off the bat… this place looks like a total dive with an old school motif. It’s small, but don’t let that fool you. The food was amazing! Their menu is short, which I love because that usually means they do what they do best. My buddy and I split a Pastrami Rueben on a roll. Their sandwiches are huge! Everything was tasty, warm (hot actually), and had a perfect balance of meat, cheese, sauce, and sauerkraut. It came with a side of pickles and pickled peppers which were delicious. We did get an order of their potato wedges as well. Both my buddy and I are a bit critical when it comes to good pastrami, so I can assure you this isn’t some store bought meat sitting in a pan for hours on end. It was fresh, plus having been freshly heated on the bread… these guys know how to make a good sandwich.

These sandwiches are delicious! My wife and I got the classic pastrami and pastrami Ruben. The bread is sooo good. Soft and have a little bit of chew that makes you want to take another bite every time. The slices of pastrami is a nice surprise in every bite. They have some thick slices and some small ones so the texture profile with the meat and bread is on point. I highly recommend this spot and they are very COVID safe.

I forgot to write a review the first time I was here but I'm making sure to this time! The moment you walk in, you're greeted like they've known you your whole life, like one of the family. Everyone's friendliness and kindness are just a breath of fresh air in a world where just getting through to the next customer is the new norm. And I haven't even gotten to the food! The amount of pastrami on the sandwich is great! The bread (I got Italian loaf) is soft and a perfect compliment to the pastrami. And the actual pastrami itself is just phenomenal! Jam packed full of flavor and not super greasy like at Togo's or what have you. They make their own Russian dressing (which was amazing!) and was such a lovely pop of flavor with the mustard on my sandwich. Overall, if you want the best pastrami sandwich in the area, come here. You won't be disappointed! And make sure to ask for LOTS of extra pickles :) And lastly, the younger gentleman that was making my sandwich.. I thought you were really cute! And you made me laugh. I hope I run into you again 😁

Best Reuben (no cheese) I've ever had. Sour rye? Yes please. Russian Sauce, yes please. UTZ potato chips! Heck yeah! The store was impeccable, the service was AMAZING, the owners are incredibly nice. What they do, they do extremely well. I'll definitely return.

Best place in all of Rosevill Rocklin area!! Believe me even though the place is small it packs a good BIG sandwich! I'm a bigger guy in college and I need to eat a lot and this place has what I'm looking for. Not only that but the QUALITY IS AMAZING! The sandwich bread is soooo good and it tastes almost like a soft pretzel even though it's Italian bread and the pastrami is TOP NOTCH! I've talked to the owners many of times and they are SUPER NICE! The owner Abe takes pride in having the best pastrami. It's nothing like the cheep processed pastrami that you would find at a place like subway or the grocery store. It's the real deal high quality meat. It's a little more expensive because of that but you get what you pay for and I'm telling you IT'S GOOD!

Great shop, I always try to stop in for a sandwich when I'm over this way. The couple that owns it is very passionate about what they do and the pastrami is great!

This is not fast-food (Hooray). I had the tangy bbq pastrami with coleslaw on white bread and it was AMAZING. The meat is VERY high quality (as it should be if you're gonna name your whole shop after it) and their service was 100% customer focused. The owners seem to love interacting with their customers and would probably give you a free hug if you were sad :) In the future, I may call in my order (i know they also do grub hub and all those other food services) and take my sandwich to a park or home, as this shop is very small. I will DEFINITELY return. I hope they succeed despite not being in a prominently, high visibility location.

I normally see this place extremely busy and told my wife we should give it a shot. Well it was definitely worth it and the Reuben was absolutely loaded! Fantastic pastrami and one heck of a cheese pull. I can't wait to go back and get another one. Definitely recommend this if you enjoy this sandwich. It will not disappoint!

My fiancee had been singing the praises of this little shop for a month or two, and we just hadn't had a chance to get there for me to try it until tonight. As is usually the case, she was 100% correct. I got the Reuben, and it was absolutely to die for. The pastrami is cut thicker than I'm used to on a Reuben, but it was utterly delightful. And there was a whole lot of it. If you're a fan of pastrami, awesome sandwiches, and locally owned independent restaurants, you've got to check out The Pastrami Shop.
