My Bento box was great , chicken and salmon! Deep fried potstickers are amazing! Grandson had a Granite roll and a Sierra roll. He said “ this is some of the best sushi I have ever had”. Service was great. Relaxed casual atmosphere.
If you're looking for that go to sushi restaurant, this is the place to go. The menu is great! It has something for everybody, whether you are a pro sushi eater or a newbie, you will find something to enjoy. If you are the adventurous type, ask the owner to take over the ordering decisions for you. You won't be disappointed.
Camon is one of my two favorite sushi chefs! Love having him behind the bar again! The food is great and the staff is friendly! I recommend letting the chefs make you a special roll!

We stopped here for lunch, we got greeted and got seats right away, staff came by right after and offered us drinks and appetizers, everything on the menu sounded delicious and the pricing was good, we ended up ordering 2 misso soups to get started, which were delicious and very flavourful. For the rolls we ended up with the Rainbow 2 Roll, and Omakase which is a chef's choice roll. Both roll turned out to be very delicious, flavourful and filling. We really recommend the Omakase roll, it was be based on your preferences and what you might like.
We definitely recommend this place, it was our first time here but we will for sure be returning and bringing our friends with us.
So good! Our waiter was amazing. Friendly and funny. She deserves a raise! The food was delicious and beautiful. We got a bottle of sake and a bottle of plum wine and mixed them together in a pitcher for a delicious drink. I would absolutely eat here again.

You will receive Friendly and attentive service at this new sushi restaurant in Rocklin. Sushi Kakogan has a good variety of Asian dishes along with excellent sushi. Everything we ordered was delicious. And the prices were very reasonable!
It is located across the street from Safeway on Granite Drive in Rocklin. Easy access from I-80 and the Rocklin Road Exit. If you love sushi, you will absolutely love Sushi Kakogan. Check it out.
I am heartbroken to have moved across the country, far away from my favorite sushi restaurant. If I could have, I would have put Sushi Kakogan in my suitcase and taken them with me. The rolls were always top notch and my wife loved the bento boxes. Edamame was quick to the table and the miso always hot. Green tea with toasted rice always hit the spot and Kirin always frosty. The Omakase roll was my permanent order, never once did it disappoint. The artistry put into the rolls here blew me away every time. I truly loved this restaurant and every time I pass through Rocklin, I know where I will be having dinner.
I like this place. It has a clean feel to it and the prices are good. Me and my party all got bento boxes and they were great. I wasn't a huge fan of miso soup but other wise we will be coming back again :)
I had the bbq albacore and the Rainbow II roll and both items were fresh and tasty. I'll definitely be back

I have never been to this place, and it blew me away how good the sushi was. The male server was rude as hell the second we came in, the female who was trying to help us was super nice!
Easily my favorite sushi restaurant. Amazing chefs having a great time at the bar and making unbelievably good sushi rolls. Won't be having sushi anywhere else if the choice is mine. Rocklin roll or Lions roll with some lemon on top is my go to.
Great time and Ashley the server will do a backflip anytime you give her a $100 tip. Amazing food also

Service was very friendly. I appreciated that they had more than just the standard sushi options. Rolls were of decent size and quality. Taiyaki was good, too. Plating was very attractive which was a nice touch. Would definitely go back again
