I've been coming here for years. The food is fantastic, the serving size is gigantic, the wait staff is courteous and engaging, the experience is away a repeater. I now live in Florida and still come by whenever I'm in town.

I love this place. The food is excellent, and the owner is still actively involved working and serving among the workers. It's a place you can bring the entire family, not noisy, and it's Greek. For all those who visited the Greek Village in Florida and like Greek food or don't know what it tastes like, there are many dishes on the menu you can choose from. There's lots of parking in the back. Some of these workers have been there for a while, but what makes this place unique is the people. The workers, it is just fantastic, give you a feeling of being down south but dining in New York. The meals are huge eating in, and as one worker said "its a diner, and this is how we roll." My son fits right in watching football on the television.

Never really dined here. Did order fries as a treat for my younger son once while waiting for my other son to finish music class. Parking by the front side of the lot is tight. Since she’s a regular it seemed…To the lady with her son and another person who months ago felt she needed to point out I took two parking spots… parked regularly I couldn’t get my child in/out of the car. After your comment I moved the car parked it within the space and guess what happened when I got back from getting the fries I ordered for my son a car parked next to me and I could barely get into the car… I am not that big. And I couldn’t get my child in the car. So to the lady who ran her mouth and felt like she needed to be not nice because my car was over the line to the next spot and because she had to walk a few feet extra, now you know why.
Other than that staff is really nice and I’ll never parked over there again! Maybe one day I’ll try the food. Be kind people, doesn’t hurt. I would have gladly moved so she could park there.

Have probably been here a dozen times in my life and always a great diner experience. All the servers have congenial attitudes and are very accommodating.
My only wish is that diners, in general, would be a bit better at allowing customers to customize their meals without hefty charges. If a stack of pancakes 🥞 has three, and I'm already getting a $25 steak & eggs breakfast and just want 1 pancake (why not just divide the price by 3). It's kinda annoying when you relegate the servers to "they won't do that."
That said... the food was great, and my server Diana was attentive and timely.
Fast service. Friendly staff. Everyone on our table enjoyed their meals. I had the hot chocolate (yum) and the chocolate chip pancakes (very yum) with bacon and sausages. My friends had waffles, nutella French toast etc. We got our food quickly and we were seated as soon as we entered. I'd definitely go back for breakfast.
Greeted at the door and quick to be seated. Servers are nice. The bread basket served had fresh and warm bread. The food arrived quickly and it was hot.
I've been in San Diego since 1991 and have forgotten what was so special about a diner. Well the Golden Reef brought back so many memories , from 2:00 AM sobering black coffee to after movie bites. The charm of the Golden Reef is irreplaceable along with the friendly service and the delicious everything.

Staff is attentive and friendly. Food is a little pricey, but the portions are huge and can last two meals (depending on how hungry you are). We ordered a burger deluxe, grilled cheese sandwich, a Yankee bean soup, and onion rings, and we were very satisfied with everything we got. The sandwich and burger include a big side order of cole slaw and a pickle. We will be going back here!
Great place to grab a bite. The staff was friendly, place is clean and gives an old time vibe. The food was OK. The wrap I ordered was a Tuna Melt wrap but that tortilla is pretty thick and hard. The portion of the plates are great. I took a star off because its not a place I would continue to go (taste of food was mediocre in my opinion) Also a little background music wont hurt. Service was fast 👌🏼
Went here with my daughter. She's the pickiest of the pickiest when it comes to eating.. they unfortunately do not serve mac and cheese so she settled for the chicken fried fingers and fries. She absolutely loved it and ate every bite. The atmosphere is relaxed and diverse. It's definitely bust and parking (free) is scarce...but you can park in the lot next door but remember to pay your meter! When it came to my dish I ordered the chicken fajita with Onion rings. However, upon receiving it I got fries... I didn't complain because the food came out hot and at a decent time. The server was nice but a little forgetful. I had to ask two times for extra sour cream. But the Gelato was amazing!! Rich and creamy both me and my daughter had a overall good time! It's a reasonable price and quick fill me up!
We visited this diner for second time with my grandkids. The staff and waiters were excellent with children always smiling. My 6 yr old granddaughter loves this place. Always gets her favorite Chicken fingers with waffles and gelato for dessert. She told me to give them a thousand stars 😂
Had the wild west burger which was excellent it came with extra large portion of fries.
Also had 2 eggs any style with homefries and toast which was very good and 2 LG Pancakes.
I will definitely be a repeat customer many times over.

Had a good experience here. Food came out in a timely fashion and service was good. Portions are big. Note that you pay at the counter after service instead of server cashing you out. Also note that toppings for burger is extra.
Breakfast was really good. A little pricey for an omelette and coffee but I get prices have gone up but I paid $23.44 (excluding tip) for what you see. One meal and a coffee. I’d go back though.
Good food. A bit on the expensive side, and the service wasn't the best... Still, you won't be disappointed. It's a nice diner.
Stopped in while in the area, we had the most delicious corned beef sandwiches. The bread was soft and fresh and the corned beef was moist and not a bit dry. Complimentary cole slaw and pickle topped it off nicely. Food was served quickly by a very attentive and polite waiter.
Definitely stopping back when I am in the area again.
