My husband and I went here for our anniversary dinner. Our server, Danny, was excellent. He was knowledgable, attentive and relatable. The food was delicious! We had the trio of spreads for an appetizer--guacamole, smoked salmon and pimento cheese. Truly appetizing. For an entree we had prime rib and the rib eye served with bacon mac and cheese and a loaded baked potato. It was so good! Since it was our anniversary, dessert was on the house. Bread pudding for me and my husband had the warm brownie. I must say we should've made more room for dessert.

Had passed the office building several times and told myself I would try it one day. On recommendation by my dentist I finally did to end my birthday 'month' and I was pleased. Drinks and service by Billy (who was server, bartender and sommelier) was outstanding, and the kitchen crew didn't disappoint either. Our steaks were just right and food arrived hot! The flourless chocolate cake was the bomb and was perfect to end our bottle Pinot Noir with. I'll be baaaack!

Awesome dinner. Great service. Our waiter Jeremy was very good. Crab cakes excellent and the tres leche dessert was to die for. First time there and would definitely go back.
This was my first time to Stanford Grill but it won't be my last. We were celebrating a couple of birthdays and really had a great time. The food is terrific. I had the ribs and they were as described "falling off the bone". Several of us had the crab cakes and they were also very good. Service was top notch as was the decor. 10 out of 10!!
First time here and we loved this place. The steak was perfect and the sides went really well with it. Our server was amazing and we had a great time. The subtle, live music was also a nice touch. We'll be back!
I was truly wowed by the service, the ambience and the food. An excellent place to go, if I lived nearby I would be a regular. The sushi was so fresh and the portions so generous!

We went there for dinner yesterday and enjoyed everything: the decor, the service and the food! We were a group of 6 adults and 3 children and the waiter was able to keep up with our needs and made sure we had a great time. It was our first time but definitely not our last. This place is terrific, I love it!
The food, libations and service was nothing short of amazing! My fiancé and I was traveling and we found this restaurant via Google and decided to stop in. We couldn't have picked a better restaurant. Our server was very attentive and we enjoyed our evening!
New place for me, service superb, food very nice. Location a bit inconvenient but certainly doable. I will be back

Lovely settings, staffs, and the food was great!! The price ranges for meals are very decent for the quality of food provided.
Went for a Birthday Dinner with our family (all adults) today for 5, reservations made over a week earlier. We asked for a table but were told they were all reserved. Sat us at a booth while many tables remained empty throughout our visit.
They offer a wide array of dishes, something for everyone in the group. None of the apps, sushi or entrees we had were stellar or even stood out. But the key lime pie was very good.
Not that I want a freebie but they charged for the dessert with the candle. We ordered a few desserts, most other places comp the birthday girl’s dessert.
Most likely will not be going back to this place.
It's one of the best restaurants for dining. The food and the service are awesome. I loved the fact that the food portion was really big. We ordered several food items, and literally, all the food was delicious. I definitely recommend the restaurant, but make sure to make a reservation beforehand. We had a great time at the restaurant and we will visit in the future.

Decided last minute to try this place. It was pretty good. The steak had a great grill char on it. The calamari was good and tender. Appetizers and entrees were good. I will go again to try other dishes.
Fantastic restaurant service and features an art-museum ambience! The waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly, and accommodating. Everyone was very pleased with their food. We went with outdoor dinning which was great with the nice weather but there’s a busy road right across that can cause disruptions as cars honk, etc. - just something to consider. Definitely going back!
Great place for lunch or dinner! We had prime rib, and appetizers - it was great!
One piece of advice, let them know if you want less salt on your food - it was well salted, and clearly did not need it.
Parking is in the garage below the building, and the elevator takes you to the lobby/restaurant.
The staff was excellent, attentive and very helpful.
They have a good wine selection and a nice bar too.
Make sure you save room for dessert the key lime pie and bread pudding are definitely exceptional!! (And large - consider sharing)!

First, I’d go with the consensus here of 4.5 stars, but that’s not allowed by the app. We’ve been frequent customers of this elegant, vibrant and consistent restaurant including during the pandemic when we ate outside it had take-out. It is remarkably consistent because the staff is almost universally highly professional and reliable. That’s hard to find these days. The food, cocktails and wine are generally right down the middle American with a steakhouse feel but at a lower price point meaning better value. Make no mistake about it, the rotisserie chicken is the star of the show for dinner, but steaks, seafood, salads and burgers are excellent as well. The crab cake is not its best offering. Reservations are advised for weekends, especially. There’s something for everyone here, and servers are attentive to those with dietary needs or preferences. I think you’ll be as impressed as we have been. Also, Cooper Canyon Grill is owned by the same group, has much the same menu but Stanford is a much nicer environment.
Finally, I made it here after being on my list to check out for at least 5 yrs. I'm disappointed that I waited this long to try this great restaurant. Overall, this is not only a great spot to take a date, family, or friends , but also a good spot to grab a good meal and/or on your own.
For normal dining, a reservation is best, but they do have open bar seating too. The team at the bar worked together to ensure each person was taken care of with upmost respect & attentiveness.
The food & drinks were great! Cocktails were made well & the food tasted great.
The dining area is surrounded by large windows (to watch the cars go by). There's also an outdoor dining area that makes an L on the side of the building.
Pricing is on par with the experience. While it's not extravagantly priced, you are paying a little more for the great experience.
I have been to Stanford Grill in Rockville numerous times and it has never disappointed. Last night everything was perfect. Food was fresh and tasted heavenly. Had the shrimp cocktail, prime rib and sundae for dessert. We were assisted by Tyler and he excelled with kindness. Keep up the outstanding work!
I had an impromptu dinner here on a Friday night. Making last minute reservations was effortless. We were seated promptly and everyone was friendly. We ordered the rainbow roll and calamari for appetizers. The rainbow roll was flavorful and the calamari was perfectly cooked. For our mains we ordered the steak salad and prime rib. My friend loved her salad and my prime rib was perfectly cooked. Cutting around the chunks of fat and connective tissue made it take forever to finish my steak (and it was slightly cold by the end of it) but it was worth it because it was very tender and flavorful. I can't wait to come back!
Beautiful day to spend it with friends and family, we had a wonderful experience, our waiter was very friendly, attentive and helpful. The ambiance was great 😊 and the food was amazing, we enjoyed everything on our plate, food was hot, and well done cook.
Eli the bartender is one of the best bartenders I’ve come across these days. He’s quick, attentive, and able to juggle multiple parities within seconds. He managed the whole bar area and I didn’t notice he was missing once. He also was able to throw the menu out by memory and recommend from the heart.
The atmosphere is great and the service is too. I always get the steak salad and it is very good with croutons made from cornbread and pear slices on it. The steak is tender and cooked well. Tonight we got the spinach dip and it has always been a favorite of mine. It's the one Woodmont Grill and Houston's used to have. So good, especially if you mix the dip with the salsa and sour cream. My son got the strip and said it was good. Not at the level of Ruth's Chris but not at the price either. I have always enjoyed my meals here and it is a great locale for nice family gatherings or business meals or even a nice date night.
Good food. Our table had roasted chicken and cod. I had ordered prime rib but they ran out before 8:00 PM. haley was wonderful and a pleasure to talk to. Our waiter was a nice guy, but he got the orders wrong on the chicken. My wife’s were supposed to be all white meat and he forgot to tell the kitchen that. She said it was OK and accepted the meal. Went on a random night after our initial dinner spot's ac wasn't working. The food portions were generous. I got the crab cake special and the branzino special and they were delicious.
We ordered the spinach artichoke dip, cocktail shrimp as appetizers, they were delicious. We ordered fish taco, crab cakes and Cesar salad. They were all very good. I also like the environment of the restaurant. Simple and classic. Plenty parking spaces in the underground parking garage at P3&P4, the waiter told us that no validation needed, just put the parking ticket back to the machine. It is free parking. Our waiter was very nice. Will come back.
Enjoyed a delicious salmon burger (one of the specials) and fresh steamed string beans. Mateo was our server and was very attentive, courteous and helpful. Would definitely return to try one of the salads for lunch.
Tried this place with friends. And now I want to go back. Very good food, the daily special crab cakes were awesome, full of lump crab meat and very little filling. And the sides were also perfectly seasoned. Highly recommended.

I dunno where to start, but everything I tried was great, we got sushi, steak, some appetizers and everything was good. The room we sat in was a bit crammed but nothing that ruined our experience.
