Recommend to go when it first open as there’s always a wait. Soup dumpling is amazing, especially love their crab and pork soup dumplings. Would highly recommend it. Also, the food comes out super super fast. So if you don’t want to have a table full of food all at once, I would recommend doing 2-3 orders and pacing it yourself!

A nice spot to have dimsum and many options for Chinese cuisines. It was my first time visiting and we had such a good time. The staff was friendly and food came out pretty fast. Some of the foods I ordered and my opinion: - General Tso Tofu(3/5): I saw it had good review here and wanted to tried. It was ok, but nothing special. The sauce was sweet and tofu was nicely fried. - Half Roasted Duck + Intestine and Duck Blood(5/5): Highly recomened. There was plently of meat for the half duck, the sauce was pleasant. The duck blood/intestine have the spicy of szechuan pepper. Those 2 was amazing. - Fried pork bun, Friend pork dumbling, Fried Taro rolls, Fried Crispy pork chop (3/5): all ok, the flavor and texture of the foods are not my favourite. They all have good portion but was all plain and and simple in my opinion. The Taro rolls was sweet like a dessert to my suprise. - Xiaolongbao(5/5): the chef special dish didnt dissapoint. The soup inside was tasty. I made a mistake of waiting too long and the soup was not as hot anymore (personally love hot soup). 😅and I didn't know the sauce served with the XLB was vinegar at first, should only put a little.

Solid tapas spot. Great crab/pork dumplings and spicy pork wontons. Best tip I can give you is to come before peak lunch/dinner hours because it gets packed quickly. Service could best be described as stoic and to the point, zero small talk

A fantastic local restaurant and a staple that keeps my family coming back at least every few months 💯 I highly recommend their original soup dumplings, sticky rice pork & mushroom shumai, spicy beef noodle soup, salt & pepper squid, and the general bob’s tofu. There’s such a variety that you can definitely find something you like there. There is usually a wait of about 20 mins every time we go, but they provide a menu and pencil so you can mark your choices and submit your order as soon as you sit down.

I must say that when it comes to Bob’s Shanghai 66, not only are the soup dumplings delicious, but so are the 油条(grease sticks), taro rolls, and this refreshing mango drink with jelly that my mother ordered for me. Not to mention that they serve a pot of hot tea on the spot, which is very nice. While I wish that they offered cheaper vegetarian dishes to go with the carbs (I get sleepy from eating too many carbs), all in all, my mother, who is full Chinese, and I really enjoy Bob’s Shanghai 66. We hope to come back here in the future. 多谢!:D

We decided to drive all the way to Rockville to eat at another Chinese restaurant but the wait was too long so our friends suggested going to Bob’s because they eat here like once a month. I’m sooo happy we trusted our dear friends’ judgement, the food was amazing!!! One of the best authentic Chinese restaurants we’ve been to! The soup dumplings were super flavorful and beef chow fun was on point! My kids looove the salt & pepper pork chops & squid. Their bok choy was amazing too. Everything we ate was super delicious, we’ll absolutely come back another weekend!!!!

Finding handmade dumplings in Maryland is a rarity, so this spot immediately stands out! Meeting my university professor over our mutual love for Shanghainese flavors - a taste of home that brought back memories. The Kaofu is my go-to, although it was served a bit too cold. The eggplants were a bit on the greasy side, but the other dishes didn't disappoint. Part of the charm is the nostalgia the food brings.

Very good sechuan style Chinese food. Gets busy so plan ahead. Loved the Spicy wontons, lamb stir fry, and eggplant in garlic sauce.

Pretty cool little Chinese place tucked into this shopping center. We only ate the Soup Dumplings on the dim sum menu. Had all four flavors and they were all good. My favorite was the pork and shrimp. I also didn't feel weighed down or sick like some other Dive-Chinese places can make you feel. Definitely something different to give a try.

Tasty options with large portion sizes. The cost versus portion size is reasonable, expect to feed at least two with each entree. The service was quick! This is a great option if you want to go out to dinner for a quick bite.

Great authentic Chinese food! On Saturday at 7pm there was about a 20 min wait but you're given a menu and you can mark what you want so that when you sit down, the server takes your menus and food starts coming quickly. For $55 (you get a 10% discount for cash), my partner and I shared pork and shrimp shu mai, XLB, pork buns, chili wontons, and salt and pepper squid - a solid deal. Also, tea comes free to your table - "like a real Chinese spot," says my chinese-american partner. Lol Everything was hand made and the dim sum was HUGE and very fresh. The chili wontons were the only let down, and even then they were fine. Everything else was bursting with flavor and freshness. Definitely coming back to try more!

Excellent food. A bit on the pricy side but worth it. There’s a special Chinese menu and all the good stuff on the Chinese menu. For example, this dish is called sweet sour fish fillet, which is not on the “white” menu, but if you specifically request for it they’ll cook it for you. Very tasty.

Authentic Chinese restaurant. They have a sister restaurant in New York called “Joe’s shanghai” - both locations are good and delicious Recommend their soup dumplings. Also recommend: Pan-fried pork buns, tantan beef noodle, Tang yun fried rice

definitely a local favorite. so many chinese small dishes and dimsum, a wide ranging menu. there’s usually a wait but because you can order everything before, the service is quick. the spicy pig ears was our favorite. a lot of food and came down to about $30 per person.

Exceptional and authentic food. They're known for their soup dumplings, which are deserving of praise. The lamb curry stir fry is really fantastic.. not a dish you find in a lot of Asian restaurants, and if you do, I doubt it will be as good as here -but it is spicy, so bear that in mind.

My first dim sum experience! Loved it. I get the hype around it. It’s scrumptious! My favorite was the XLB (shrimp and chicken and crab and pork), scallion pancakes, and the pork buns. I’m drooling just writing about this! The papaya milk was also really good. The mango sago is my sister’s favorite. Delicious food all around. It’s a classic for a reason!

My sister’s been raving about this place and I can see why. We went on a Thursday evening around 5:30/5:45 and got seated right away. Food and service was fast and authentic as can be for Rockville, Maryland. Favorites dishes were the beef chow fun and black pepper chicken. Left happy and satisfied.

We haven’t been back for years. It looks like this restaurant recovered quite well after the pandemic. Steam buns are their specialty. Other dishes are comparable to other authentic Chinese restaurants in the area.
