We've been wanting to try the food here for some time, and we were not disappointed. We really liked the Chinese style fried pork chop on rice- the pork was crunchy outside and very tender inside, Dan Dan Mian was creamy and just the right amount of heat for me, and the raft of Pan fried pork dumplings were also good. We can't wait to come back.

I ordered wanton soup, spicy beef noodle with wide noodle, and one small dish. Taste was great actually, but they never take credit/debit card. There's no ATM inside, so you have to prepare in advance.

Came here for dinner (dined in). I ordered the Chinese Style Noodle Soup with Fried Chicken. They served the fried chicken on the side (not in the noodle bowl). The noodle was really good and it was homemade! The soup was also very tasty. The fried chicken however was quite bland and was very dry. Will definitely come back to try other items in the menu!

One of the many bustling Chinese restaurants in Rockville! This is a place my family and I have been going to for years, and it NEVER disappoints. I would really recommend going for brunch on Saturday and Sunday, as they have limited/special menu items. I can’t just recommend one thing. Go with anything… it’s all good!

Delicious Chinese restaurant inside of a strip mall that serves great portions at good prices. Classic dishes of tofu skin, xiaolong bao (soup dumplings), and Chinese style soup. We decided to split everything. They only take cash or Venmo, so make sure to have that payment method ready.

First time ordering here last night and loved everything I got and prices were reasonable. The fried chicken with rice, dikon and bacon bit bun, and spicy wontons. Everything tasted fresh and delicious, and want to order again today LOL. New favorite spot over the same old carryout spots.

I came here with my daughter. We only got a few dishes to try. Everything was delicious and fresh. Service was nice. I can't wait to come back and try some new things.

It's rare to find a local gem but A&J definitely qualifies from a food perspective, I regret not trying it out sooner. They do a fantastic Taiwanese dim sum-style menu, with a plethora of authentic options. Everything we tried was fantastic and didn't disappoint, and accented well with the abundant chili sauce at the table. The DAN DAN MIAN (Noodles in Hot Spicy Sesame Sauce, Top with Crushed Peanuts) was terrific, generous peanut flavor and solid noodles. The LU ROU FAN (Braised Pork on Rice (w/ a Braised Egg) was phenomenal, the savory flavor of the pork was quite memorable. The CONG YOU BING (Scallion Pancake) is a must try and perfect with some soy sauce and chili sauce. GUO TIE (Pan Fried Pork Dumpling/Pot Stickers) was a steal, 8 large pot stickers in one dish and again, spectacular with some soy sauce and chili sauce. XIAO LONG BAO (Steamed Pork Bun) was quite good too, and whole not the style of bun expected, still very tasty. Their menu is expensive but not overwhelming and well grouped into soups, noodles, rice and other style dishes. I look forward to trying more items. As you may expect from this style of no frills restaurant, service is fine (polite but terse, functional but not attentive) and decor is basic, not anything for them to hang their hat on. It's all about the food. Cash only, so stop by an ATM on the way.

Walked in to waitresses carrying plates of 油条 and 豆浆 around, I was overjoyed to find authentic Northern food! Lots of homey 面食, only complaint was the 大饼鸡蛋, it was very thin and cooked with a thin layer of egg instead of a thick 大饼 wrap around egg like I’m used to. Plus is that they kept serving breakfast through early afternoon even though technically the menus said breakfast only in morning! The handmade noodles in the 牛肉面 beef noodle soup were so good. 红豆粥 sweet red bean congee was simple and perfect.

Amazing restaurant with northern dim sum and Chinese fare. Love their spicy beef noodle soup. Make sure to get with the wide noodles! Also love the dumplings, scallion pancake, Peking beef roll, sliced pork ears and beef tripe with hot red sauce. Everything is so flavorful and fresh, and the staff is so nice and welcoming! Can’t wait to come back again and try more of the menu!

One of top 3 favorite Chinese restaurant in Maryland so far. I'm from Los Angeles, so it's hard to find good restaurants comparable to what you can find in LA. But this restaurant is a gem! We love to order the beef noodle soup, hot and sour noodles, kao fu, mustard greens side dish, and pork chop over rice. It's comfort food for us!

Cucumber salad and spicy beef tendon noodle soup were good among the dishes we tried. Spicy wontons were good but wontons didn't have much (any) fillings. It's a cash only establishment. We barely had enough cash to cover the bill and tips. 😅

Came here to try after seeing a video posted on social media . Everything was delicious, my favorites were the spicy beef noodle soup ( with wide noodles ) , the wontons & the peking beef wraps ! We got around 7 things to try (split between two people) and it was more than enough . I definitely recommend trying this place !

Very good authentic dim sum experience. Prices are reasonable, service is very good. The dining room is small, so you may have to wait for a table. I recommend getting there early or just doing carry out. Overall, this is a very good AUTHENTIC Chinese restaurant that is approachable and friendly for all. I will return.

Its been in the area for 20+ years for a reason. Great Taiwanese specialities at a crazy cheap price. Personally think they have the best dumplings in the area. The beef noodle soup is also really tasty.

Delicious. People are always nice, even when it’s crowded feels great, but most of all the food is delicious. 9.7/10 would certainly eat again.

I love A &J. I love A &J. I love A &J. Every time I go I order the dan dan noodles and fried chicken and rice. I always get the wide noodles because they are so chewy. For the fried chicken, I loove the pickled vegetables that come on the side. Some other favorites include the beef noodle soup, beef tripe, soy milk and you tiao combo (only on weekend mornings), and the braised pork over rice. They only accept venmo and cash, so be prepared.
