We had to wait 30 minutes for a table because the place was packed. But it was totally worth the wait. The service and food were great. An upbeat atmosphere. Singles, couples, and families were in attendance when we visited on Saturday morning. Bacon was nice and thick, orange juice and lemonade are freshly squeezed, and hone fries are seasoned well. Will visit again.
Hands down has been a favorite of mines for over 20 years. The server I catch a lot has been there 22 years. I love it here. Some of the people upfront could learn some people skills, maybe smile, stand up straight, common sense when working with people and being the first face people see when walking in. Food has always been fantastic. I adore the Dutch babies (20-30 min extra prep time) and crepes. I do wish the coffee tasted a bit less bitter. I’ll be back for sure!
It's a very nice breakfast place. That's all they serve. It's nothing like IHOP. They have a wide variety of pancakes, and they carry my favorite, which is buckwheat pancakes. The food is good, the service is good. The only thing is parking. The parking lot is kinda tight, but you can usually find a parking spot in the back. They do serve waffles, french toast, omelettes, and other breakfast foods. They also serve turkey bacon and turkey sausage, as well as fruit. There's another Original Pancake House in Annapolis Mall, but I prefer the one on Rockville, even though the one in Annapolis serves the same food.
Our waitress Michelle was great! Very friendly and personable. Typically food at any OPH is great and this location doesn’t disappoint. Always a treat. Go early, avoid the crowds. We got there on a Sunday at 7am, empty.
This is The place for pancakes. They are absolutely delicious. Staff was friendly and attentive. It’s fairly crowded for lunch but we still got our food in a timely manner. The A/C must be set on high since we and other guests were freezing. We had to ask several times for them to lower the air conditioning. Overall, the pancakes were amazing!
I came for a brunch date with my son here. It was busy and we didn’t experience a long wait. The food was delicious. I love the Strawberry crepes. Will be coming back as I’ve never had bad customer service here. Just a warning it does get full on the weekend mornings of course.
Absolutely everything we ordered was prepared well. The thick country bacon, corn beef hash and sausage patties all a must try. The pecan waffle and pecan pancakes cooked to perfection. This place is worth repeat visits. Price and quality of food is excellent.
We have been waiting so long to get here. We would always come at a bad time. This was my first time and I was not disappointed. The strawberry pancakes were delicious with REAL strawberries and REAL strawberry syrup 😋😋 Fat girl Goddess satisfied! Please forgive me for eating before I got the pics, I cleaned them up as good as I could
Great food and they made the best basted eggs. A lot of places do not even know how to make basted eggs in butter. My waitress Lori was awsome. I recommend this place 100%.
The food was standard original pancake house fare. The omlette was the typical fluffy dome that the baking style leads to. The pancakes were light and fluffy. The biggest issue was some very loud noise that would occasionally start and then stop, lasting for a few minutes each time. I'm also not sure about the retained COVID protection. Makes the place feel a bit clinical.
My feedback was 4.5, but there is no options for that. 1 of our fave breakfast Restaurant in rockvile. But for some reason, the omelet is kinda dry. Maybe it's different how they made it!
