My favorite Chinese restaurant in this area. They offer a delightful mix of authentic Szechuan cuisine, with a touch of Cantonese dishes, all complemented by good service and prices that truly offer value for money. Highly recommended!
My favorite Chinese food in DC area. I grew up in China. Whenever I have cravings, I think of China Jade. I’ve gotten its la zi ji ding (辣子鸡丁)countless times to go and definitely dining in is even better. I tried hong you chao shou (红油抄手) to go and instantly fell in love and came back for another the next day to dine in. The hongshaoniunan mian (红烧牛腩面) is good without tasting like MSG (too many Chinese places in the area taste like MSG but not China Jade). My tongue can tell China Jade uses good ingredients. The portion size is also big. Good job keeping prices lower while still using quality, authentic ingredients and flavors, especially when economic inflation is so high right now
Amazing food and service! Maggie is the best :-)
If you are vegetarian/vegan, I recommend the crispy tofu!
When I realized I only had a benign tumor, the first thing I did is to treat myself with Bull Frog Casserole at China Jade. The food always make my day~ The waitress was patient in listening to my story~
Very very good excellent and authentic Cantonese Chinese food. The best comfort Chinese food I've had in a long time since GG closed. Great menu, very well executed with good ingredients. Loving people that put the love into the food and service. Recommend very much. I am very excited to try more.
Exceeded all my expectations. Bold flavors for the Szechuan dishes, spices were just right. Authenticity shone through every dish my family and I ordered. Two types of mapo tofu, both a flavor explosion. I like the Szechuan style the best. Two styles of kung pao chicken, both without cucumbers unlike most other restaurants and this makes the peanuts crunchier and the meat taste better.
Been in the area 17 years now, my wife and I have tried all the Chinese restaurants in the area—definitely best Chinese. Scratches that spicy itch we get all the time. Nothing quite like a cold beer and some hot spicy soup. The combo is unreal.
Top notch, authentic Chinese food. We had 8 dishes and everything was cooked perfectly. My parents are visiting from China and they loved the meal! Try the Napa beef and the snow pea shoots.
Tasty Chinese restaurant. I like getting their lunch specials. There a family meal special where you get three entrees and a soup that is a great deal. It is only available on weekdays. I usually call ahead and get carry-out. Pick-up is prompt.
This is the Maryland Sichuan food restaurant I go to for Sichuan Food. I was born and grow up in Chengdu. The food here here is authentic Chengdu food. Just like what I may have at home. Also the Cantonese food here is very good. The signature dish Gui Fei Chicken is a must try in the Cantonese menu. The other dishes are delicious too. Ask the very Friendly Maggie, and I am sure she can give suitable recommendations. The photos on the wall are authentic pictures of Sichuan street scenes (old times and new; rural or urban) by photographer Chen Jin. Check them out when you’re in the restaurant.
I stop here every time that I am in town. Singapore Rice Noodles is my go to!!
Thank you for great service. See ya soon
A nice place for authentic Chinese cuisine! This is the best fish filet in hot pot sauce, especially for people like me who don't like bone and prefer spicy flavor! Besides, perfect service and comfortable environment. Food was ready to be enjoyed in a minute! Pretty easy to park around here as well!
I’ve eaten here twice so far and enjoy their food very much!
Good, friendly, fast service, reasonable prices, and the food is delicious. Extensive selection on the menu and lunch specials too. We’ve been going here for years. The staff know everyone by name and give us such a pleasant welcome - it’s like a family! We didn’t have a reservation on a busy night but they still seated us. Good location too. Definitely recommend.
I've been hitting all the Rockville Chinese restaurants to try to find a good General Tso's Chicken (*sniff* RIP Yenching Palace in DC). This is it! Most places give you fried chicken in syrup that half the time tastes more like Orange Chicken.. NOT HERE.
The sauce is dark and rich and spicy with lots of added seasoning and bits of flavor. The chicken was fresh and cooked just right (not chewy like some places).
I can't speak to any other dishes there yet, but the General Tso's at China Jade is a winner!
I've brought both native Chinese and American Chinese friends here multiple times and every time they are surprised by the big portion and the fact that both American Chinese and Authentic Chinese are delicious. Ingredients and spices used are clean and fresh (unlike many other restaurants that have weird oil taste or MSG aftertaste). The manager Maggie is very friendly and remember the dishes you like. China Jade has been around for decades. I've been a regular since 10 years ago when they changed owner. Every time I go I've either personally experienced or have seen the staff being have being very accommodating of customer needs and requests.
The lunch specials come with a spring roll. I'm usually not a fan of spring rolls because there's soggy just not my thing.
The spring rolls here are crunchy and delicious I could eat 10 of these things!!!!
I assume the egg rolls are amazing too haven't tried them yet that'll be next.
Sweet and sour chicken. They put vegetables with the chicken which had me worried at first but it definitely wasn't a substitute by no means.
This thing is full of chicken.
