Absolutely blown away by this place. Everything was fantastic from the the front door down to dessert. So impressed by far. Not to mention the incredible staff. I will be coming back more than once with many others. Will recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful dining experience.

Yes, the decor is not the greatest. And yes, from time to time you may have to track down your waitress. But the food is very, very good. The portions are large. And in over 25 years of eating at the Apollo, I have never had a bad meal. George's spaghetti meat sauce is about the best I have ever tasted. The salads are always crisp and taste. Salad dressings are made at the restaurant. Thursdays is roasted turkey day when for under $10 you can get a turkey dinner with stuffing, cranberry sauce, hot vegetables, and more. Every day there are a different specials. This is a child friendly, great food place to eat that will not break your wallet.
Great place for breakfast!!! A great diner tucked away in the center of Rockville with a great breakfast menu, just like the ones in NYC. Omelets are well made, and home fries are really good. If you order one of the numbered breakfasts, you get juice and coffee included! They validate parking too, so you can enjoy your breakfast!
This is not fine dining folks... this is homemade stick to your ribs cooking. It's a diner with the atmosphere of a no fuss diner. No shiny walls, jukeboxes, or waitstaff in uniform. They serve breakfast all day (including scrapple for those of you who enjoy it) simple cooking that is good and comforting.
If your looking for a warm, comfortable, friendly, unpretentious atmosphere this is it. A great place to eat and read. Sooner or later someone strikes up a conversation with you. I have "grown" up there from sitting in a booth doing my college home work as a young person to bringing my three kids in for breakfast.
