Reviews Cicis Pizza

The pizza was really tasty and the price for the all-you-can-eat buffet is reasonable. The Alfredo pizza and Spinach flatbread were the best. The atmosphere is a bit gloomy and unwelcoming, and has an overall dirty feel, but the pizza was really good. I would return based on the taste of the food alone.

We love this pizza! Always great for a game day or crowd. The crust is really delicious. But the customer service we got tonight was amazing. We had a delivery person who tried to scam us and the CS team went above and beyond helping us resolve it. Not only did they answer our initial questions trying to figure out the scam, but they called us back twice to tell us what they did on their end and to give us a tip on how to resolve with the company. We hadn’t asked them to take any additional steps beyond answering a few questions, but they made us feel valued by following up. They definitely have earned very loyal customers.

This review is for people who grew up with NYC area pizza local to where they lived. I myself grew up in northern New Jersey just outside of New York so I know what this is supposed to be, if done right. For Montgomery county, this is the best New York pizza I've experienced yet. Here's why: 1) They use enough sauce (so many places basically make cheesy bread). These guys make sure there's enough sauce on the pie, which you can see where the crust meets the cheese. 2) It's actually a thin crust. New York style pizza crust should be thin and crunchy, just big enough to be able to hold a slice in your hands. So many places locally instead make the crust a big doughey undercooked air bubbly mess. None of that is here, just thin crunchy crust. 3) The cheese layer is slightly burnt and seasoned (this is a good thing). This is often overlooked and undercooked, and giving it a slightly burnt layer when cooking the cheese gives it a different flavor that you know when you're eating it if you grew up "up there". 4) They have all the right spices to add to season it, like parmesan, garlic powder, hot and regular pepper, and basil. I've lost track of how many local places don't have this on the table/counter, but you need it to season it correctly. What's impressive is the owner (who is from Brooklyn as I understand it) trained everybody here to make it the right way and they just do it even if the owner is not there (which he was not the day I went there to try it out for the first time last Friday). Take it from a New York Pizza snob, it's worth going there and it's right on Rockville Pike in the shopping strip just after Taco Bell (if heading up the pike) about halfway between twinbrook and Rockville Metro on Rockville Pike.

Authentic and always delicious NY style pizza. Service is fast, reliable timing estimates for carry-out orders, gracious and friendly staff. CS is the best.

Even though seating space is very small, the food made up for the rest. CSNY Pizza is very delicious pizza. The dough is crisp and up to the crust its fluffy. A well balanced pizza, what more could you ask for from the same company who brought you Pizza CS? A few notes: No pizza slices after 2:30 pm, its only served during lunch time only. There are only two sizes: 14-inch and 18-inch. The service is also top notch. Very satisfied with how they treat everyone who walks through their doors. A smile everytime, and it gets people coming back for more.

We just tried CS Pizza did the first time. We definitely appreciated the thin crust and fresh toppings. It’s close to NY style as I’ve seen so far in Maryland. The order was completed fast. I didn’t really enjoy the Cesar salad as the dressing was too rich and there was too much cheese for my liking. I would recommend this place over what is available at Pike and Rose and any of the big box stores.

Good pizza. No frills for the regular (ordered two small regular pizzas), but excellent taste, reheats well. We were so hungry and it helped. Recommend. Used to go to CS Pizza for their Neapolitan pizzas, but that location is gone. Update: I've now been back several times and this place is really good. We believe in the pizza! It's NY style pizza, and every slice has been very good. They are also decent and have delivered the pizza to a table outside to pick up after payment. This is a great thing they do as we continue to live with this pandemic. I like it a lot and recommend CS NY Pizzas. Worthwhile! Updated (2023): still our go to place for NY Style Pizza! There had been another pizza place that closed during the pandemic that was on the same level but now it's clear - CS NY Pizza or no one! Others have tried to talk us into other restaurants serving pizza and after trying them it's still no contest. Best NY pizza by far in the DC metropolitan area and DMV. By far!!!

The pizza was great from the perspective of NJ/NYC transplants. I wish that we could get a slightly larger pie.
