I was hesitant to come here because of the low rating but as mentioned by another reviewer, ignore the old reviews and old photos. These are new owners with a new chef and new menu. I am so glad I came. They specialize in Hainan Chicken and Hong Kong style Chinese food. They also serve the standard Chinese food available at all Chinese restaurants. Their food is very authentic to Asian cuisine. I need to travel to Asia to get food like this but it is now available in Rockville. Did I mention their chef has won international cooking awards? I definitely recommend trying their different dishes here. I will definitely be back to try more.

🍽️:Guys! Try the Lobster sticky rice kinda stuff. Should be limited dishes and is not on their normal menu. 10 out of 10. 💰: 60 ish 💁: The owner is always really friendly and helpful. But there was always a $0.5 convenience fee when I paid for the credit card. Not sure if there’re still fees for the cash orders.

New ownership and their specialty “Hainan” chicken is really good! I also love their soy sauce fried noodle and chicken wings which was crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Also the new owners are so nice and comp my kids 2 of her Hong Kong style milk tea. Since when can you find comp and friendly service in an Asian restaurant?!?!?

I've been wanting to stop by to try the Hainan chicken since they have new management/ownership! Finally got to try and ended up going two days in a row! I got carryout both visits. First time, I called and Ben answered the phone. Took my order and I picked up in 15 minutes. I got the Hainan chicken and rice with the soup and veggies. Also got the Hong Kong style milk tea! Shared with my niece and my mom. All of it was really good! Good enough that my mom wanted to go back today for more chicken as well as try their beef entrails. I don't eat beef so that was all for my mom, brother and nephew. They all said it was tender enough and had good flavor. The portion under local favorites has Chinese radish/turnip with it. Mostly tripe and tendon. Not the greatest they had, but still good. I got more Hainan chicken along with the vegetable e-mein. Chicken was great. Noodles were really yummy! Hit the spot since I've been craving noodles! Portions are big enough that I'll be eating this for lunch tomorrow! Of course, I'll be getting both again! Hong Kong style milk tea was great. Love the strong tea flavor! Not to sweet which is great for my taste buds. There's a lot on the menu to try! As they recently changed hands, the menu is different than what I saw online. So it might be best to call and order or order in person.

There is a restaurant in this location for years, but I have never dine here (previously was a Chinese BBQ place, I opened the door but decided to leave). The new ownership makes the small store neat. Its specialty ‘Hainan’ Chicken, is pretty good. Definitely worth the visit. The soup, however, need to improve.

Delicious Hai Nan Chicken Rice! The chicken is so tender, and the green onion sauce is the best match! Highly recommended!

Don't be turned away from the score that this restaurant currently has; the place is under new ownership and is much better now; the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Definitely try their Hainanese chicken rice, which is their specialty. The meat is incredibly soft and tender and has a very "homemade" taste to it.

I was hesitated to try due to the low rating but then found out the low rating all went to the previous owner and different cuisines too (was an Asian bbq restaurant) now is a Cantonese style restaurant. Excellent customer services and the food definitely exceeded my expectations. Highly recommended! Is a hike for me to get to the restaurant but is so worth it👌

As someone who lived in Macao as a child and visited Hong Kong and other parts of China over the years and I can say this place serves up really good authentic dishes. The taste and quality even rival some of the best restaurants in the Chinatowns of NYC. I tried their preserved egg and pork congee (delicious, perfectly seasoned, not too salty, melt in your mouth pork), chee cheong fun with hoison and peanut sauce (comfort food from my days in Macao), their signature Hainan chicken rice (big pieces of flavorful and juicy chicken breast, not the bony kind I would get at other places), and shrimp fried rice. All very delicious. The only dish we got that we won't order again in the future is their spicy wonton which was not very spicy. But Cantonese food is generally not spicy. Otherwise, a great find and I will be returning again for sure.

This is a great and authentic Cantonese restaurant! I ordered the delivery via uber eat, including the preserved egg & pork congee (皮蛋瘦肉粥), the Hainanese chicken rice, and the braised lamb with bean curbs (腐竹香菇炖羊腩) 。You rarely find such an authentic Cantonese place in Rockville and the DMV area.

Very authentic Chinese food. I had the lamb kebab and the fish, which were delicious! The kebabs reminded me of street food from china and were seasoned very nicely. The food was served very quickly. It's a small venue though so if you are unlucky then you will need to wait for a seat.

The food were so tasty and cured my homesick stomach >~< It’s small family owned but they are very friendly, hospitality with excellent service! I highly recommend to try it out and definitely get back and try something new again.

The average rating is misleading-- the food is great, and surprisingly comfortable for a stereotypical "American" palette, especially considering it is authentic Cantonese food. The server was very helpful with suggestions, so if you're not sure what to order, just ask! Fair warning, this place is VERY popular, so expect a small wait.

Not all of the dishes are good. We like the bbq on the sticks a lot. It’s one of the few that actually reminds me of the Chinese street food. Warming, if you cannot eat spicy food, this is not a place for you.

This is our 2nd time there. We discovered this restaurant from Google. After reviewing from others ( restaurant change ownership), we decided to give it a try. I'm glad we did! Love the food and service and came back the following weekend 🙌 . No fail, same good food and service. Although the restaurant is small but homey. Highly recommend it to anyone who wants good Chinese food and good service.

Cozy mom and pop store. Their Hainan chicken is so yummy, fresh, good price, I could eat this everyday with their ginger scallion sauce
