Soft music, calming atmosphere, great staff and beyond excellent food. Seeing the pineapple fried rice being served IN A PINEAPPLE, brought a smile to my face. I'm pretty sure that this presentation compelled the person sitting beside me, order it as well đ. Chicken tempura sushi was good too. For my next visit, I'm eyeing the coconut shrimp appetizer. Thank you Google for bringing me to an absolute hidden gem!

Called to place an order and confirmed that they are still not open for dine in services. As soon as I asked she hung on me. I went back to look at the reviews because it appears people have been going inside to eat. I called her back to confirm and she again said no dine in and she was confused why people were saying they had eaten inside.
I really miss the food and the ambiance the place once had. I guess it is no more.

Great restaurant! The dumpling soup had lots of flavor. The japanese fried rice was great as well, even my picky toddler loved it!

Worst chicken Pad Thai I have ever had! It was so bad that I thought they gave me the wrong order. So I called the owner and she started yelling at me, then hung up on me! Terrible first experience and will certainly be the last! If anyone is looking for good customer service and food go to Koung Thai!

Currently one of my favorite spots in Rockwall. The vibes had me and my friends feeling like we were in Uptown Dallas and the food was fantastic. They were very accommodating for a group of 6 and made no fuss about us wanting individual checks.
Highly recommend the Thai Pineapple Fried Rice with chicken & shrimp, and the Lemongrass Shrimp Soup (beware, it's spicy!).

Came here for the first time with my family. It was a Wednesday evening about 6pm but they were not busy. We were not sure why as they have an excellent selection and the decor and ambience is great.
I almost rated down because we had our kids and there were no kids menus or anything like that for them. However, our kids love Asian food and had no problem finding something they loved (pork belly steamed buns for my 6yo and Giza for my 4yo). I decided not to rate down for this as itâs not their fault I didnât check out kid-friendliness before going.
On to the food. Mh and I were quite overwhelmed at the selection as it was rather large. However, we ended up deciding to share an array. We got the sashimi platter, the Rockwall roll, and the pad Thai. All three were excellent.
The sashimi was fresh and perfectly cut. It was also beautifully arrange and cake with tuna, white tuna, yellowtail, salmon, and snapper pieces which were also topped with caviar.
The Rockwall roll was a shrimp tempura roll, with crab on top and two difference sauces drizzled on top. This was very good but Iâd try a different one next time.
The pad Thai was excellent. Perfectly cooked noodles with just the right amount of spice. Yum! And as one of MHâs favorites, it did not disappoint.
Our kids loved the pork belly as did I and the Goza dumplings were classic and perfection.
Everything that came out was so beautifully displayed. The staff was friendly and the restaurant beautiful. If youâre looking for a date night or night out with friends, I highly recommend giving Basil Cafe a try!

Going into this place has a pungent smell. Made me feel very uncomfortable. I will never go to this restaurant again. I am very skeptical about food hygiene in restaurants.
