Great beer selection and nice happy hour deals (M-F, 4-7pm). Had the Mac and cheese which was creamy and good portion size. Lots of TVs for those sports fans and relaxing spot to spend an evening.
We were a group of nine people with a 6:30 p.m. Saturday reservation. Our table was ready and waiting for us and, considering we were a larger group, the service was pretty expedient and attentive. My grilled steak salad was good -- not 5.0 good though. Cool venue, however, will probably bring me back.
Haven't been for dinner in quite some time, but the tacos are great! We love Sunday brunch - we're hooked on the steak and eggs and eggs Benedict. Their home fries are excellent. Never had a problem with service.
I think Market is a great lunch spot. The soups are delicious. The sandwiches and salads are satisfying and tasty. There used to be an amazing discount for employees of local businesses, but apparently the discount was abused by patrons. This won't stop me from lunching at Market. I wish they'd bring back the buffalo chicken salad.
Went for Brunch today. I ordered the Southern Omlete (with chorizo sausage and jack cheese). The Omlete was great although, I would have loved more chorizo. Also, I built my own Bloody Mary. Awesome!!! Great topping ideas.
There brunch is the best! And Mimosa were delicious
The food was great but the patio was closed without signage to clarify and the whole time we ate no one appeared for the closed off patio party. Frustrating
Fantastic!!!. I have been to Market many times and each time has been excellent. I have dreams about the Goat cheese salad. :) Patty Melt, French Dip, and Chicken Paprikash soup are outstanding. I always have great service, whether at a table or at the bar. The patio is amazing and I absolutely love all the fresh flavor combinations created by the chef. Great food, great atmosphere, great prices, the best bloody mary bar around, and about a hundred different beers? Sign me up!! I wish I lived closer so I could go more often!

Went with a group of about 20 people on a Friday night. Our waiter was Chris and he got every single couple, group, and tables bill dead on. Awesome job to juggle what he did. Extremely impressed!
Absolutely amazing. Two of my girlfriends and I enjoyed the goat cheese salad, Reuben, and spicy chicken pasta, all was to die for. Great service from chris and we know we will all be back!
Great food. I've been to Market a few times, and have enjoyed each trip. The bloody Mary cart for brunch is out of this world. Last time I stopped for dinner, and tried the black bean burger. It was one of the best I have ever had. Looking forward to going back soon

First Time and Will Return!!. Great atmosphere by the fireplace on a cold winter day. I love the 11:00 a.m. Happy Hour! Great Kentucky Bourbon Ale for over half off! My friend had a tall glass of their Hard Cider..I tried it and it was great! I ordered the Fench Dip as recommended by our server Chad...It was the best French Dip I ever had...They use Sirloin Tips and a Horseradish Havarti Cheese on a great artisian Sub Roll. The hand cut fries were fantastic! My friend had the burger special made with 1/3 pound of black angus handmade patty chargrilled and topped with a thick slice of Fried Green Tomato! Yes, I tried a bite (or two) and it too was fantastic! Chad recommended to us the Suicide Brownie for dessert....The best crunchy/fudgey brownie I ever had with a scoop of Mitchell's Chocolate peanutbutter ice cream (Mitchell's is a stone's throw from the Market) The Market was recommended to me by word of mouth. Now, I highly recommend this gastropub! Ask for Chad for your food server...He is a true professional. He gave us the type of service as if we were in a Five Star restaurant! I wore jeans and a sport shirt and felt like I was at a friends place for lunch. Very relaxing atmosphere. I will be going back to try Brunch soon

When ordering hot tea we found it took longer than usual because of the slow drip of the machine. It was a cold day and having this beverage sooner than later makes all the difference in the world.

A very pleasant experience. My husband and I had a very pleasant experience at Market the other evening. There were a number of items on the menu that appealed to us, but, not wanting a big dinner, we both opted to order the day's special appetizer: ham and cheese quesadilla. It was delicious and we would order it again. Next time, we'd probably have it as an appetizer in order to try out some of the other menu options. Our drinks (and refills) and food arrived quickly. And our server, Josh, was very pleasant and accommodating. We're looking forward to a return visit.
Great Place to eat. One of the best meals I have had in ages, I had the blackened grouper and jambalaya it was delicious and very authentic. The service was outstanding and our waiter Kevin could not have been more attentive. The variety of beers is great..
Best Brunch EVER. 2 Weeks ago we went to Market for their Sunday Brunch. Not only were our dishes super delicous and flavorful we couldn't get over how inexpensive it was. Most Brunch dishes ranged from $6 to $10. For our group of 8 our bill was under $100 which also included 4 Bloody Mary's. Did I mention... they have the coolest Bloody Mary cart with more fixings than you can imagine for $6, more than a fair price. This past weekend we tried Taphouse in Tremont for brunch, even though I really wanted to go back to Market. I got the same dish at both places, a chorizo burrito. Market it was $7, Taphouse it was $14 and Market's food was way better. Needless to say, we'll be going back to Market for brunch. You can't beat the great food and the great prices!

Treated Royally at Market!. I am pleased to recommend the Market restaurant in Rocky River to anyone who enjoys excellent, creative (but not fussy or pretentious) food in a congenial atmosphere. The staff is friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu and beer selection. And if you're adventurous, but not sure about committing to an entire glass of an unfamiliar beer, tastings are the way to go-just ask your server. With 76 bottle beers & 24 beers on tap, you're sure to find something to quench your thirst! As for the menu, my friends and I are eating our way through it…you know you're a regular when the valets know your name…
There is a creative selection of appetizers called "Shareables"-the Buffalo Chicken Dip with tortilla chips is a zesty taste-treat and the Brochette with prosciutto, goat cheese & fig glaze makes the taste buds dance. The Farmers Market Salads all create that satisfying crunch you get when only the freshest ingredients are used. I've enjoyed them all & highly recommend the Southwest Cobb and the Asian Chop Salad (with chilled Ahi Tuna. Yum.)
When lunching with the ladies, I've enjoyed the Brooklyn Walleye Sandwich, which is Lake Erie Walleye made with Brooklyn Lager beer batter-to die for! I'm sure this will be a popular meal during Lent, but something this tasty probably doesn't qualify as obligatory abstinence (if you want to suffer, stay home & heat up some fishsticks). The Grilled Veg Head sandwich on herb foccacia rivals any veggie offering at Melt. My friend Nancy is fan of the Gourmet French Dip. Roberta swears by the crabcakes. Linda always gets the special. All the Market chips are House Made, and you can't go wrong with sweet potato fries to share.
When dining with my husband, his choice of Entrée usually comes from the Meat Market menu: the Black Angus Filet Mignon with smoked gouda & garlic whipped potatoes, or the Black Pearl Pork Chop with the Bourbon Vidalia Sauce. My Entrée always comes from the Fish Market menu! On our first visit, I had the Lake Erie Walleye pan-seared with fingerling potatoes, fried leeks & roasted red pepper sauce & what struck me was that every component on the plate had its' own taste-every item had been cooked separately so that the potatoes tasted like potatoes-not the leeks! If you are into Asian Fusion, you will thank me for recommending the Sea Scallops served on the best bamboo rice ever with a Miso Glaze (go ahead, dap a little behind each ear-your dining companion will follow you home!) Ditto for the Sesame Crusted Ahi Tuna with red curry sauce. The tuna is done to perfection! I have never "saved room for desert"-after so many wonderful savory dishes.
If you've outgrown the craziness of the East 4th Street scene in downtown Cleveland, if you've had your fill of gourmet toasted cheese, and if you don't buy into the mindset that true foodies only gravitate to Tremont or Cleveland Heights, then check out Market in Rocky River for superior Westside dining & people watching. (Mrs. Ohio & entourage recently dined there, so I wasn't the only one in a tiara.)
Always a great experience!. My boyfriend and I have been to the Market quite a few times either by ourselves or with groups, and we absolutely love this restaurant! We have tried quite a few of the appetizers and have never been disappointed. We have also had the strip steak several times and it has always been cooked and seasoned perfectly. I also HIGHLY recommend the Gourmet Chocolate HoHo cake-it is unbelievable!!! My only complaint would be that the first few times we went our service wasn't the best, but it has improved on recent visits and our last server had excellent advice on menu items and was very attentive. Go for the happy hour if you just want to check it out-they have great specials on drinks and appetizers. Can't wait until the patio opens and we can enjoy the fire pits outside!

Excellent First Experience. Brought my mom here when she was visiting from out of town on a recommendation from a friend. The atmosphere was great - open, spacious with high ceilings. Loved the huge windows and the fact that it was still warm even with all the glass.
Ordered the ahi tuna wonton crisps for a starter - these were great although don't order it if you aren't okay with raw tuna. The mango and the wasabi complimented each other excellently - I would guess the chef has had considerable experience with asian or fusion cooking.
Our server was great with recommendations, and didn't automatically recommend the most expensive thing, which I appreciated. We split lamb chops - cooked to order. They were cooked properly, not over or underdone. I wish there had been a bit more sauce - it had an amazing flavor but it was only on some parts of the chops for some reason. Overall, delicious.
We also split the special, which was a red snapper with homemade crab rangoon on basmati rice. Not sure what was in the reduction but it was rich and full of flavor - definitely made fresh that day. The fish was a bit overdone but then again, the reduction made up for it. Loved the crab rangoon - these should definitely be an appetizer on the regular menu. Mostly crab rather than cream cheese.
The waitress let us move at our own pace and didn't harass us to clear the table, nor did we ever have to wait around for her to refresh drinks or drop off the check.
We also had the special dessert - a peanut butter pot du creme. It was very rich but totally worth it - served with whipped cream, chocolate sprinkles, and a pretzel. I am a sucker for the savory and sweet combination, so I absolutely loved it. Without a doubt, I will be going back!
Parking. We've had very positive experiences at The Market. However, people need to beware that parking can be problem if one does not use valet service. Cars will be towed in areas across the street west of the restaurant...beware!
Came to Market for the first time Saturday night for after-dinner drinks. Amazing environment and the wide array of unique beers made the night. The people I was with enjoyed it so much, we came for brunch the next day, mainly to check out the bloody mary cart. The brunch menu had great choices (to the point where one person ordered two dishes because they couldn't decide!). The group left full, happy, and enjoyed the environment of the beautiful space. We all look forward to coming again!
Better than I expected. We came here with not the highest of expectations and were pleasantly surprised. The service was fair, could have been quicker, but our server was friendly and knowledgeable. The salsa trio appetizer was pretty good (could use some heat).I ordered the Black Pearl pork chop dish and found it to be quite delicious. My wife's salmon and risotto cake dish was cooked perfectly and the portion size was spot on. We will definitely put this on our list of places to frequent.
Awesome addition to Rocky River. My brother and his girlfriend were in from L.A. and I wanted to take them somewhere around here that was not your typical Applebees or Fridays etc. A friend recommended Market and we were not disappointed. The atmosphere is great...my dad commented that it looked like a converted car repair shop because of the huge windows and exposed brick walls. The food was wonderful....I HIGHLY recommend the sweet potato fries. Absolutely the best ones I've ever had. We would definitely go here again...the only suggestion I could make for them would be some activity pages and crayons to keep the kids busy while waiting for the food. Don't listen to the other reviews...we had great service.
Great Food!. We experienced good service on a Friday night, not like many of the previous reviews. The food was excellent -- both steak and seafood. Very well prepared and presented.

Noisy but nice. Nice atmosphere, friendly wait staff, good menu, tasty food. the high ceilings and hard surfaces make it noisy- and i don't get the large screen in the dining room- but it's lively and a nice addition to rocky river.
My expectations were high after all this time but Market managed to exceed them. I’m want to come back for another brunch, try dinner, and a happy hour or watch sports at their bar. Delicious chicken wings and decent sized drinks. We stopped here on a Friday around 1800 and got some drinks and appetizers. The service was quick and the bartenders were friendly. Their dry rub Cajun wings are amazing and go well with alcoholic beverages. We had a good time kicking off the weekend at Market and definitely recommend this place.
This was my second time to Market .. & it was just as good as the first time . Unfortunately the first time I missed brunch which was cool because I got to try their regular menu which was delicious. But this time I made brunch😆 brunch ends at 3 as well. So today we tried the chicken and waffles and added scrambled eggs with cheese. It also came with gravy . Usually I don’t even eat gravy but it was soooo good. The chicken was cooked right 👌🏾 & the eggs were made good as well. We also tried the corn beef . No lie I think the best corn beef hash I’ve had. & then my friend had the crab cakes ! We loved all three dishes . Wonderful experience!!! We had a small dinner for a dear friend here. They let us reserve a private room that sat 16 people at no charge. Was just perfect. Staff was very accommodating and helpful. Food selection was delightful. Have a couple of adventurous choices even. Good selection also beer / spirits. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
My husband and I worked with Kaylee to plan our rehearsal dinner. We hosted 50 guests for dinner and drinks. They have some fun menu options that are reasonably priced. They let us bring in our own dessert. The servers were kind and Kaylee was easy to communicate with and responded quickly to our calls and emails. We used the side patio and private room. We chose the Italian food menu and it was delicious. They had the ability to play a video/display photos on their tv for our guests to see! It was a wonderful event and we are grateful to Kaylee and the market staff!
We finally had dinner at THE MARKET in Rocky River, and will make ourselves “regulars”! From the friendly greeter, who seated us promptly, to the informative waitress, to the delicious food….every element pleased us! Thanks for a very nice experience. See you again! We want to enjoy that patio, too!
My girlfriend and I met up with an old friend for a late brunch at Market the other day, and wow what a fun menu. The restaurant itself is very fresh and modern, with a nice little outdoor patio seating area -- but like a Doctor Who TARDIS, it is bigger on the inside. Lots of traditional restaurant seating, but also a real nice bar with TVs all around. They had a number of different mimosas and bloody marys and we each tried one. All great. The menu had a bunch of different fares -- everything from corn beef hash to eggs to yogurt parfait. All great. Lastly, service. I apologize I can't remember the name of the young lady who took care of us, but her service was impeccable.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Market.
This was my second visit. Went for lunch and the food was all delicious with generous portions as well. Our server Mia was awesome. She was very friendly and attentive and able to anticipate our needs. Thanks; we will be back!
