If you're looking for a more classic, hometown experience for ice cream, South Central Creamery is the place to go. Many kids I know call it "the penguin place" for the penguins that are painted on the windows - the mascots of the business. They have a large variety of flavors at reasonable prices, double scoops, toppings, shakes, cones, and more. It doesn't go very far beyond the basic, but I suppose it doesn't really need to. This is a great place to end hot summer days, and a great place for ice cream dates. I personally love their (I've forgotten the name, forgive me) chocolate ice cream, that is literally like 4 different kinds of chocolate in one ice cream. It's so delicious! The last time I was there, I remember they charged 50cents for extra sprinkles, which was a lot in my opinion, but I don't run an ice cream store, so I don't know how much extra sprinkles cost in the long run. I do love that they hire local artists to do their murals on their windows! I included those photos, from South Central Creamery's Facebook page. My friend actually did the painting, so forgive me - I'm a little proud!

The ice cream here is really good and they bake the waffle cones right in the ice cream shop. The penguin decorations just add to the cute decor. This place is in a strip mall so look close to find it.
