Our waiter... ummm... crap I forgot his name ! Was absolutely awesome ! We was swamped, he kept our drinks, apps, and food coming even though the kitchen made a small mistake. He had it fixed on no time !

Always love Black Bear Diner. My new breakfast favorite is the cinnamon roll swirl French toast with side of pork sausage links.. Portions are always generous and the service is top notch.

This was the first time we went although we drove by it many times. There was about a 15 minute wait as it was a Sunday morning. The chicken pot pie was gorgeous and delicious. There was a ton of chicken in it. Their homemade bacon ranch dressing was great. I will definitely be back.

It's too bad this restaurant headquarters is based in Redding. Redding stinks like Trump. Please don't go to Redding, but visit Black Bear 🐻 Diners, outside of Redding, anytime for breakfast and not lunch. They specialize in 🥞🍳 🥓🥖 and have great desserts too, like 🍰. Service is always excellent and the atmosphere, usually, like a Redding library, so take your own excitement and fun. And, don't forget to try their original table salsas in a bottle on the table with your 🥔 and 🥚🥚.
This is the best place to come if you're hungry for breakfast any time of the day. I usually always get the "Bear's Choice" breakfast and the bacon is delicious (I order it extra crispy) and so are the sweet cream pancakes or waffles! It's so hard to choose between pancakes or waffles because both are amazing, but I get pancakes if I'm super hungry (because you get two) or waffles if I'm less hungry (because you get one).
Tip: If you join their rewards club, you get the Bear's Choice breakfast for free for your birthday!
I had a burger. It was good. My guy liked my burger too He had pancake breakfast. He didn't like the sausage. The coffee was good and not too hot. The menu is fairly short. The waitress was new. Her timing to come around to the table was a bit too long and we had to flag her. hopefully she will get faster coming around.
The food and coffee were pretty good, I particularly liked the maple bacon strips. The atmosphere was very woodsy comfort, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. The wait times are great. We went on a busy Sunday and had seating in only 10 minutes.
Always luv the menu and real orders. No fake corn beef hash . Nice and polite server Katy. .. Okay , now let’s go boarding. Conditions are epic.
Everything was better than expected. Safe distance, clean tables, friendly service. Low on the staffing but all customers in the diner appeared to be understanding and patient.
Food tasted great. Our server was awesome. Other servers checked in on us which was nice.
Food was good. No complaints from the kids. They are VERY picky so that says a lot about how much they enjoyed it. There were no to-go containers for them.

Stopped in here for dinner tonight and was very happy with everything! From the meal to the service it was excellent.
I ordered the Rueben sandwich on rye and it was very good! Corned beef was cooked great and went perfect with the sauerkraut and dressing on rye. My wife had an omelet and said it was very good as well. Kids loved their sliders.
The service was great. Seated as soon as we entered. Waitress took our order and had drinks and food both to our table very quickly and made sure our cups were not empty! I will definitely recommend to anyone in the area and will be back myself!
Honestly, best breakfast I've had in a looooong time! Their coffee was even amazing. Service was fantastic. All In all, my family and I left very full and very happy. Can't wait for our next breakfast there.
Had such a pleasant experience at this location! Very attentive and friendly staff. Let me and my friend sit and chat with no pressure, made sure we had everything we needed. Food was delicious and quality meat, not like other places that are mostly fat.
After sitting at the bar & being ignored. I had to about trip a waiter/waitress to place an order. I didn't have utensils & when I asked, I was given a mangled fork. Not sure what was going on today at this place. Food was good, service was mediocre at best.
They were a bit understaffed when we stopped for a late breakfast but still delivered good service. Loved the selection of hot sauces for my eggs, the baby bear, mama bear, and papa bear hot sauce selection was fun to sample from. I also enjoyed the biscuits and best of all was the reasonable prices.

Food lost a star only because you guys don't have real maple syrup, maybe you could consider adding it as an option and just charge a few bucks for it, French toast was a 10 but with real maple syrup it would have been 100. Scrambled egg and bacon were perfectly cooked, not the case at most places.
Omar was an awesome server, easy demeanor, beautiful smile, upbeat attitude and checked on us at the perfect Cadence. If he were in Santa Cruz I would have tried to hire him into my bar.
Huge portions always from Black Bear diner. The brisket was really good. I really appreciate the hot sauces they have. Not every restaurant has condiments readily available. Clean restaurant, friendly staff and great value.
We had a nice dinner tonight. Patty Melt on marbled rye, and some chicken strips and fries with a side of the country gravy. Our server was super friendly and was chatty once we started a conversation. Thanks Haily.

I placed an ordered from DoorDash and the dasher never picked up. The staff at Black Bear was beyond sweet and made sure I still got a hot and fresh order. I’ll make sure to order directly from restaurant next time!
