Four stars for the decor. Nicely done, love the diner booths. Adds a unique touch to the place. The food? sorry, nothing out if the ordinary there. There's just so many Mexican places in the area. In the end, food is what brings you back. Bernardo's is good but needs a "pequeña patada".
Great service great food definitely recommend kind of a hidden away jam in Granite Bay that you wouldn’t expect to find such good food and such a little tiny place but you got to try it. Our server really had an owner mentality. He was on it and let her waters and our drinks get empty always was the

I’ve seen quite a few mean/poor reviews and I just wanted to say, I love Bernardo’s, they are some of the most hardworking people I’ve ever met and they try so hard to accommodate everyone and I think their food is delicious and authentic. People who say otherwise clearly doesn’t know good Mexican f
The food was really good. The service wasn't great and the place was almost empty so there was no reason. I went to the bathroom half way through my meal and when I came back they had taken my plate and dumped my food. Good for a quick bite if you happen to be in the area.
Authentic best tasting Mexican food in town! Beats all the bland MexiAmericano food out there. Even the simple cheese enchiladas are absolutely scrumptious ! We always order enough to take home a 2nd meal for the next day.
Love this place. Been going there since k was a kid, 34 years and 4 name changed later, the food is still amazing and cheap. I suggest the shredded beef super taco. Can't go wrong
Carnitas is excellent here! And yes they are open. There salsa fresca taste’s super fresh! This is a great place to eat it’s just kind of hidden.
I go here frequently with a friend. I just wish they served with a mild salsa, and not just the super hot and spicy.
I love the chicken tortilla soup and it always an add on to what I order.
I really enjoyed my burrito and so did my husband. This was our first visit and we would like to return to try more menu items.
Great food! The restaurant was very busy when we went but the wait for a table wasn’t long. Recommended by a neighbor and it didn’t disappoint!
