Booked a reservation for 5 people at 9pm. We arrived on time and were seated immediately. The food was fantastic. Highly recommend the clams oreganata, roasted bone marrow, grilled octopus, and the lobster truffle mac and cheese. Service was quick and attentive. Looking forward to my next Hendricks visit.
Very popular place, make sure to reserve a table. Big outdoor beautiful terrace. Inside the most cozy bar. I walked in randomly 2 nights in a row and was able to get a 2 person table in the bar. The cocktails are fantastic. Try the peach bourbon smash. The steaks are perfectly prepared. Try the octopus it's divine. And the crispy Brussels sprouts leaves. yummy!! When in the area a must visit restaurant, I could not recommend it more!
Menu is diverse. So much to choose from. Pro: Great food, service, and open late Con: can be too crowded at times with loud people sitting too close. Overall a nice place.
Such a great experience with great food and wine. The zucchini chips were fantastic. We also ordered filet Mignon which was perfectly cooked to our medium rare request.
I think there is room for improvement for the scallop as I am used to the fresh scallop; but it wasn’t bad.
What wonderful place. It has the feel of an old school club with dark wood panels and a bunch of intimate rooms. The bar is nice and big perfect if you are alone or with a group. The service is impeccable, very top notch. The food is outstanding. Steaks were perfectly cooked but their fish and the crispy Cornish hen are also delicious as are the sides; Brussel sprouts are yummy and the fries. It has a lively feel and it's not too loud. This is the perfect place for dinner!

We hosted a Rehearsal Dinner here. Chrystle T helped us throughout the planning of dinner and choosing a personalized menu. She was so professional and pleasant to work with. She was responsive and had great suggestions. I would highly recommend her if planning a large event at Hendricks. The food was amazing. It was prepared perfectly and everyone was happy with their meal choice. The waiter was polite and friendly and kept the evening flowing. I highly recommend this restaurant.
After a friend raved about Hendricks, I now understand why. I highly recommend making a reservation because it was very busy when we went on a Wednesday night.
All the waiters are highly knowledgeable about everything you order. They’re very friendly and make you feel like family.
For apps, we ordered the Zucchini and Eggplant chips. It was delicious!!! If you’re questioning whether to get it or not, GET IT.
For the entrees, we ordered the Prime Bone In, 3lb lobster and the Porterhouse. They cooked the meats right at the temperature we asked for and the food all came out relatively quick. The lobsters were brought out and they asked if we wanted it to be shelled and did it for us on the spot. All the entrees were very good and I would get it again.
For the desserts, I’d have to say my favorite was the apple crisp. Every bite had apple and the streusel bits on top was delicious! The other desserts were just as good, but the apple crisp was definitely the table favorite!
10 of us had brunch today at Hendricks Tavern and initially we were outside but the weather was beautiful at 90 degrees so we requested to be moved inside where It was much cooler and comfortable. The brunch menu was quite diverse and the food was not only presented beautifully but tasted amazing. The service was excellent as they were able to accommodate our party in the inside so we'd be more comfortable while we enjoyed our brunch. I definitely recommend this restaurant for brunch lunch dinner.

Hendricks Tavern is a not so hidden gem in the heart of Roslyn. Service here is spot on from the valet attendants, host, and wait staff they all made us feel welcome from the start. The ambience is warm, laid back and relaxing!
My wife had been been looking forward to trying Hendricks Tavern for some time and her birthday seemed like the perfect opportunity to do so. We made reservations the day prior and had asked to be seated outside given the expected nice weather. When we arrived we were seated without any issues even though there had been a couple of people ahead of us.
The food was excellent!!! We ordered the zucchini and eggplant chips, fried calamari, and a pizza for my son as appetizers and they were all very delicious. My son had to fight us off from stealing a slice or two from his pizza pie. Main courses for our group included their Tavern BBQ Ribs and the 30oz Tomahawk Rib Eye steak which my wife and I split. Both dinner dishes were excellent. We ordered creamed spinach, sautéed mushrooms, and hash browns as our sides. All were very tasty but the hash browns were a little crunchy and not the best that we have had. Dessert included carrot cake and homemade apple crisp which were super delicious! The wait staff were very friendly and sang my wife happy birthday when they brought out her dessert. Thank you it was a very nice touch!
Overall great food, great service, and a super relaxing atmosphere. I would definitely recommend you give this place a try and I know you will not be disappointed. Thanks again to everyone at Hendricks Tavern for making all of us feel special and more importantly my wife's birthday dinner a night to remember.
Great service, very attentive staff and didn't let our water glasses get less than half full. The zucchini chips appetizer was my favorite! Drinks really good as well. Not a huge fan of the chocolate cake, but that's ok. They do have valet, which I don't like, but they got our cars our super fast. Definitely need a reservation bc they were packed on a Tuesday evening. Would love to go back!
Another Poll Brother's master piece! My wife and I love coming here for any time of the day. Lately we've really been enjoying their brunch on the weekends. They have a wonderful broad menu, and of course the quality and service is always on point. One of our favorite reasons to be here is the ambience as well, masculine yet cozy, warm and inviting. We usually seen tons of family gatherings and even private events like baby showers, birthday parties, engagement parties, and more. Now, my wife and I are even considering doing our first baby shower their. Hendrick's Tavern is the place to be for any occasion, you won't regret it!

My partner and I just dined here for the first time over the weekend for dinner. We’ve both always been aware of the restaurant because we’re frequently at other restaurants, etc. in the area, but hadn’t ever experienced it until last night. And thankfully, we finally did! I’ll start off by saying that in the 13 years my partner and I have been together; he’s never once said that “He not only wanted to come back ASAP, but is already looking forward too our next visit!” We’re both foodies and have dined all over Long Island, the country, etc. Hendrick’s Tavern in my/our opinions; is everything it’s chalked up to be and more! From the overall atmosphere (we dined outside), service, cocktails, quality of the food, how it was prepared/presented and last, but not least, it’s taste! 5 stars across the board! Sadly, we didn’t have enough room for dessert, but will definitely have too give it a try next time because they had a lot of options that sounded delicious! The indoor dining room definitely looks/feels like a traditional upscale steakhouse; of which is fine, but in my opinion wasn’t comparable to the outdoor dining patio where we requested to be seated. That said, I’d probably only visit during the seasons that the outdoor dining patio is open because it’s overall more aesthetically appealing/pleasing to me. Valet was also friendly and efficient. I too am now already looking forward to our next visit!
On Sept. 17th I had a 50th Wedding Anniversary party approximately 45 guests. Of course being quiet nervous not knowing how things were going to go we were extremely happy and our guests were more happy than we were I think. Service was outstanding, food was probably the best we ever had at a restaurant affair. The staff even set up all the decorations that my wife dropped off. Can't say enough good things about our experience.
The party went so good that we went back to celebrate a birthday party only several days later. No suprise, it was great. I think this may be my new go to restaurant. I normally don't give restaurants a five star rating but in this case I feel they really deserved it. Try Hendrick's Tavern, pretty darn sure you'll like it to. There is something for everyone on the menu....Enjoy!!!
Excellent experience! So many options to choose from. We got a variety of dishes as we were a group of 6. The drinks were definitely made with premium liquors but not overly strong. After several drinks, apps and entrees, we finished the meal off with some desserts and cappuccinos. The vibes are different but enjoyed it overall and will definitely go back!
We love it here! I never had marrow before and quite frankly never would have. It was delicious and the atmosphere is amazing! There's still enought time to enjoy the outdoor terrace, so get there before it gets too cold.

I heard many things about this place. But it was finally time to try it for myself. It was another birthday outing for my group of 8. We ended up outdoors - normally I avoid that given the weather induced anxiety. Fortunately the weather was surprisingly - warm with the occasional cool breeze. First of all it has a beautiful outdoor patio marred only by the occasional fire truck screaming by. The inside was deceptively large and simultaneously held a wedding reception that day. Today’s drink was a G&T. Actually pretty tasty for such a simple drink. I have given up on ordering crab cakes in NY but it called to me to give it a try. For entree I ordered the skirt steak. Note nobody that night had any clue of what’s good here so there were no expectations. Fortunately, the crab cakes lived up to their description and indeed it was true lump crab meat! It was a good sized portion and satisfyingly fresh. The skirt steak was a good sized portion accompanied by a roasted head of garlic. It was cooked perfectly medium as requested and frankly, it was delicious and juicy. We shared the desserts - key lime pie, apple crisp and some chocolate cake. The first two were excellent. Key lime was tart. The apple crisp was sweet with a crumbly crisp on top served in a mason jar. The chocolate cake was honestly a little pedestrian. But overall, it was an excellent meal in a beautiful environment. You should come try if you haven’t already.
