Went Thanksgiving eve, very crowded. Food was good. Had the Unagi Don, my favorite and the eel was thick, tender and juicy. Perfection. Also rolls and Sushi was crisp and tasty.
My favorite place when I am craving for Sushi & Sashimi! Highly recommended!!!

The Best Sushi restaurant and reasonable price. All the crews are very friendly.
Best Best Best!!!!!!! I definitely go back there again❤️❤️
Best sushi in the area. Gyozas, Chilean sea bass, sashimi are phenomenal
Oooo, what a great find! They have some inventive dishes. I am looking forward to going back.
Fantastic Sushi spot. I've lived in several neighborhoods in Manhattan, in Westchester for several years, and now Long Island (and grew up here). I've been to a ton of sushi restaurants great and bad.
I can't say that there is a "best" 'cause there are a lot of great sushi spots. And this is DEFINITELY one of them. I won't go on describing the food....it's excellent. I love the outside patio area with the lit torches in the summer....
I went with a group of four people. I've heard the wait times here can take a while so we went a bit earlier and we did not have such a long wait time. We started with the tuna pizza, crispy rice spicy tuna and the Kmac sliders. All of the apps were extremely delicious. We ordered a few different rolls as well. They were all pretty good. Nothing was wow but everything was above average. I would dine again.
I had a wonderful experience lunching with two friends at Kotobuki in Roslyn, NY. We ordered salmon teriyaki, tendon (shrimp and vegetable tempura) and beef negimaki. Each entree came with a bowl of soup and salad. The food was excellent, with authentic Japanese flavors that left me craving for more. The short wait time was impressive, and the attentive waiter service added to the overall enjoyment of the meal. I truly appreciate the effort put into creating such a memorable experience. I highly recommend this place.
It's the best sushi restaurant on Long Island. You should try out their appetizers; they are so unique and tasty. Also, the sushi and sashimi are incredibly fresh and delicious. Usually, the wait time is long, so it's advisable to arrive before the opening time.
Reliable sushi with creative flair in roll combination and ingredients. I’ve been only twice but do find feeling a bit rushed to order. Generally good portions and fresh ingredients.

Solid sushi spot for lunch, not super crowded. I had the sushi lunch special both the sushi and the salmon rolls were excellent. I am not a fan of California rolls so I was happy when the allowed me to substitute free of charge. The fish was fresh and you tell it was good quality sushi. Will be coming back!
Love love love! New favorite sushi place near me. The fried oysters are amazing! The sushi and sashimi for three were too filling for the three of us. Staff is always nice!
If they had an option for 3.5 stars, this would be it. For those who are sushi "purists", where you want the freshest and best quality fish, this isn't the place for you. But for those who enjoy a wide variety of rolls, this isn't a bad choice. They have so many variations of rolls and other "sushi" menu items, that you're bound to find something you like if you enjoy sushi.
With regards to the food, the fish wasn't the highest quality. It's not too much different than what you'd find at a takeout restaurant, maybe slightly higher quality. If you're looking for an experience like Masa or Sushi Yasuda in the city, look elsewhere.
In terms of the restaurant itself, it's quite busy so don't expect an intimate setting. The restaurant isn't the cleanest either - we dined outdoors, so I didn't expect the outdoor furniture to be spotless. But the cups weren't that clean either, which is quite disappointing.
In terms of the service, it wasn't quite to my standard. I had green tea and they would only fill the tea cup up when we requested it. Also, towards the end of the meal, I asked them to refill my cup and they never did. After they gave us the check, we waited for a while and we couldn't find a server to pay - we had to go up to the front of the restaurant to pay ourselves.
While this restaurant isn't bad by any means, I had higher expectations.
Best food in town. Sushi is amazing especially the crispy rice or yellow tail jalapeño. I recommend getting early on weekdays very very crowded. 20-45 minute wait on weekends. Bathroom is very nice, service is ok
I am very impressed by the quality and varieties in this special place. Unique interior architecture and most importantly excellent customer service provided by King Sang. Will come back again.
Revisit this place again after one year plus. This place maintain the food qualities and we really enjoy the great customer experience.
Always the best. I love the fried oysters and beach girl. These are two things i always get no matter what. The spider roll and ufo rool are also amazing, and i think everyone should get those two
Love Kotobuki! Their sushi is always fresh and the menu does not disappoint. There's something for everyone. Raw, cooked, ramen or Udon, rice plates and small bites. Always a fun time here. Their outdoor dining is open most year round and it's done right. Heat lamps for the colder days and tented. The summer, it's open and comfortable. Favorite dish, Sashimi entree and the crunchy rice. My kiddos love the ramen and any sushi.
Our to go place for sushi when on Long Island. This is a Wow! The service is exceptional as is the sushi! For an added treat, try their oysters. Certainly on a par with their sushi. Which is better? Hard to say which is the better of 2 goods.
This is our go to place for sushi. We usually get the sushi sashimi combo for two. It’s usually enough to feed our family of four. Their sushi is the most consistently fresh and plentiful in our area. We usually order takeaway but we went in for lunch. Note that one benefit of eating in is that you get a few amuse bouche plates like fried oysters and salad when you order the sushi and sashimi combo that you don’t get for takeout. Yes, it’s often hard to get in right away. But that’s a good sign that the place is turning over and that the food is fresh.
Our family loves this place. We come almost every week. Variety, quality, presentation and most importantly the taste is top notch. Highly recommend.

Weekends are always crowed. You have to make rsvp if you don't want to wait. The sushi is great and fresh. The waiters are nice and helpful. I would go again.
Food is always great and we always ask for King he’s kind, considerate and pleasant always there to help if you have a question to ask and you don’t understand what’s on the menu. Order give you an opinion on what you should order He is the best, definitely an asset to your restaurant in Roslyn. 👏🏻 I don’t go anywhere else for Japanese food .
I came here for lunch with my mother for my birthday. I had to work so I couldn't get there until 3:30pm. The restaurant closes at 4pm and reopens at 5pm. We were the only ones dining inside. There were a few customers outside. Our waiter did not seem happy to see us. After we were served. Our waiter didn't tell us he was going on break. He was eating at table with some of the other staff. I had to find someone to give us our bill. Needless to say, I did not leave the tip I normally would have. Had he treated us as welcomed customers. Sad when a restaurant works so hard to serve quality food and it's ruined by poor service. Otherwise, I highly recommend it. I order the salmon bento. It was a little pricy for a bento, but so totally worth it. Because it's also bigger than most bentos. It was SO good. The quality of food, preparation, and presentation were all wonderful. Highly recommend. I just hope you get a better waiter than we did.
