Great little place!. We were staying in the upper canyon and got a late start one morning. Coming out of the canyon we spotted this place and decided to give it a try. It is quite small with seating inside only for about 20ish and another possible 10 - 15 outside. The service is great with very nice waitresses and the prices are pretty good as well. I ordered eggs and bacon with toast and it was delicious. We enjoyed it so much that we came back the next morning and tried it again. This time I had the French toast and my wife ordered the enchiladas and she said that they were great as well. We will be back anytime we are in town. Great little find.
Home Run. Best place ever for breakfast! It is the only place we eat twice here on vacation. The first morning we are here and our last day too. I love their blueberry pecan pancakes!
For my money, the best breakfast in town. The eggs Benedict are the best I've had anywhere, and the Mexican style entrees are flawless. Don't miss it!

The food was outstanding. It's a little family owned place. Food was fresh, homemade. Really great tasting salsa. Service was quick. We ate outside for breakfast. Place was packed with a waiting line (always a good a good sign) the whole time we were there. Two different locals told me this was there favortie place. I concur.

After several disappointing meals in Ruidoso, a local told us to try this place. It is small and not as flashy as some of the other places but the food was outstanding. Right now it is only open for breakfast and lunch. The Eggs Benedict were fantastic with perfectly cooked eggs. Their lunches are great, too. The salsa was fresh with nice chunks of tomato and onion. Definitely the best in town.
Great breakfast!. Pena's is a little bit of a hole in the wall, but it's got a great breakfast, if a small menu. Since it's a little out of the way, you'll get in faster than most places too.
Food Was Good and Fresh! Not the Best Flavors On The Dishes. They were Good Overall but Not Great! The Huevos Rancheros Were Good But Needed More Hot Kick 🌶🌶 Definitely. I Ordered a Dide Of Cubed Pappas(Potatoes🥔), The Potatoes Weren't Seasoned at All (Needs Seasoning). Rice and Beans Fell Flat. The Shrimp and Crab Enchiladas Were Good and Fresh But Sauce Did Lack A Little On The Flavor. It's Like Eating In Someone's Grandma's Backyard! It Was Kool, I'd Go Back and It's A Good Little Quick Bite To Eat! 3.5 Overall!! 😁😛😛
Absolutely amazing food! Everything was tasty, reasonably priced, and the patio allowed us to bring our puppy who had recently had surgery. The staff are all very friendly! Will be coming back when we visit Ruidoso again.
Had breakfast with the family in this small diner. The waitress was amazing and super on top of things. Breakfast was delicious. I ordered a half order of huevos rancheros and it was the perfect portion! My kids enjoyed French toast and my hubby enjoyed biscuits and gravy. All was delish!
Visiting from San Antonio, TX and we make it a point to come for breakfast and/or lunch everytime we visit Ruidoso! The staff are super friendly and welcoming. I highly reccomend the food! Whatever you order is going to be delicious, fresh, and always filling! The service is great and Mr. Pena will come out and have nice conversation when given the chance. It does fill up so grab a seat when there are open tables and/or share a spot at yours if you have any open seats. You definitely will enter as strangers and leave as friends. 😊
Great service, and great good! Small restaurant with friendly staff. Mexican style restaurant, great for breakfast, delicious tortillas on the side. The food is not very spicy, so it's family friendly for the non spicy eaters in your group. The staff was super attentive and all wore masks.
Great local spot to get breakfast or lunch for that matter. I just happened to have the spanish omelette when we stopped in and enjoyed every bit of it. Great place to eat. You can't go wrong.
The food was great the ambience is very cozy with limited seating adding to its authenticity. Wonderful customer service and our waiter even decorates the wall with acrylic paintings that he will gladly exchange for whatever you are willing to give. A True Artist. Easily going back every time I visit Ruidoso.
