Wow. This was an unexpected delight. The bacon wrapped figs and goat cheese were incredible, and the lobster ravioli was quite good, too. There's not much seating, the atmosphere is unassuming and loud, but the food is surprisingly good.
This joint is a must visit. 30+ New Mexico beers on tap! You can do a flight of various lights, darks, IPA's etc to determine what you'd like to drink.
The atmosphere is fun with several unique games to play while you wait for your food.
I had the chipotle meatloaf which was spicy and the most delicious, tender, wonderful meatloaf i have ever had! The chef brought us our food and checked on us several times.
To sum up our visit in one word: Great!
The walk-in appearance is not indicative of the quality of the food, service & beer. The food was excellent. We ( a group of 5 ) had bacon wrapped figs, a cheese plate, baked brie & brisket quesadillas. The beer is good with a wide selection of NM craft brews on draught and lots of beer in cans and bottles. Don't be in a hurry, the service is on the slow side but acceptable.

New Mexico craft beers and Noisy Water wines... perfect spot for me and my husband! Love the "hidden" patio to enjoy a glass!
Not only is this place an amazing place to grab eats and drinks, but I left my purse in there with a nice amount of cash and didn't realize it for a few hours ..
Finally realized it, went back and they had it for me safely behind the bar with all of the cash still there. They have my business forever!! �
We went there last Thursday night and we had a blast. Service was on point and the food was the best food we had our entire trip to Ruidoso. We will be back.
Such a great little hidden gem!!!! Amazing NM craft beer! Awesome big size jenga and tons of arcade games to play. The kids love it as well. Especially when u get a surprise sighting of Sasquatch!!!! Staff is awesome, definitely a must see and do!!!!!
I LOVED this place! Came to Ruidoso this past weekend for the NM Flavorfest. Was disappointed in the event, but finding this place saved my weekend. They had a wide variety of beer, friendly staff, delicious food, and an awesome atmosphere! I will definitely come to this place my next trip to Ruidoso!!!
Best place in town to enjoy New Mexico craft beers, local wine, and good food. Awesome atmosphere and friendly staff. This is where locals dine and drink!
The drink selection was awesome. Service top notch, and even though we got there late, the late night menu was very tasty. Definitely will return next time we are in town!

We liked the atmosphere. I had green chili fettuccine, chili was NOT�Mike had a brisket sandwich w/lobster macaroni & cheese. It was all very tasty.
We love this place!! We always come here and they know us by name. Very friendly and awesome service!! Food is also amazing! Lobster Mac is my absolute favorite! We make it a point to come here every time we are in town. It wouldn’t be a good trip unless we stopped by here once or twice while in town!
Tiffany, Darlene and Jack are so awesome! Very attentive, sociable and friendly! Great all around people!!

Awesome beer selection, very knowledgeable and friendly staff, and the lobster Mac and cheese was great. My one complaint is that they don't have public wifi, which may be on purpose given the environment, but seems like a gross oversight to me and something I hope they remedy in the future
Had a fun time grabbing a beer at Hidden Tap. It's pretty dark inside, so make sure to leave your sunglasses off!
The beer list was fairly extensive and the food options looked good, however we did not eat so I can't speak to the food.
Definitely a strong local brewery tap room option to try out.
This is a nice comfortable place to go on a Sunday afternoon. I had the chicken tenders and as you can tell, I liked them so much I forgot to take a picture of the full order. The shrimp tacos were good as well. Decent beer selection. Give it a shot while in Ruidoso.
My family and I went around 5 pm on a Sunday. Absolutely loved it! We had the place to ourselves. We purposely chose a less crowded time. We had the fish and chips along with the chicken tenders. Awesome service. Totally recommend.

This place is really fun! The strips are made in house and are delicious! They have multiple craft beers and they also have drinks that are part of a partnership locally.

The downshift brewery is definitely a hidden gem in this noisy river village of Ruidoso New Mexico. Absolutely loved it I actually parked behind the brewery side as soon as I got out of the car very quaint place I could hear music coming out of their continued towards the village so we could shop a little bit unfortunately during memorial day weekend all the shops closed up before 6 PM. Cruised around for a minute went to quarters they were not serving food past 1 PM on Sunday unfortunately. So we went to the downshift brewery they had live music a one-man show very entertaining very diverse music from country to patriotic to rock and classics. This brewery is very inviting with a very nice assortment of IPA local beers. Definitely stop on by the atmosphere is great very inviting plus delicious food which they serve till midnight or closing time. The selection of beer is oh phenomenal cannot get over the amount of choices they offer. My favorite was the alien IPA beer definitely suggested try it out when you’re over here in town or definitely pick some up at your neighborhood grocery store. Definitely come by and check out downshift brewery in noisy river Village in Ruidoso New Mexico a great place to enjoy it have a good time. By the way this is actually a family friendly environment I took two teenage boys of 15 years old and they had a great time and enjoyed the wings the pizza and the chicken tenders.
