The best plate in town, the food here is absolute ambrosia. Nana's spices so that it enhances the flavors without overwhelming. The portions I've received are generous, always hot and freshly cooked. The food here was super delicious. The atmosphere is also very stellar. The service was also exceptional. The wait was pretty long but it was very worth it since the food was super good. One of the best soulfoods I've ever had. I highly recommend this place if you are around the area.
Just the name caught my attention, I mean who doesn't love soul food! 🤗 This is like being served by your grandma with love! The food melted in your mouth and every bite was delicious! We arrived a little late in the day so several items were sold out but no matter what you get I'm sure it will be
Food is good but service needs a lot of improvement. Called in an order and was told it would be ready in 35 minutes. Waited an extra hour for my food at the restaurant while walk-ins orders after I placed mine got their food and left. This has happened so many times with no apology...probably won't
I wish I had known about this place years ago! Every thing was seasoned to perfection. Service was stellar and the restaurant was super clean. It's a little jewel in Ruston. I cant wait to try something different when I'm in town again.
As a visitor from out of town, this was a sad experience! Came at 10:50, it was literally 1 hr + a half for 2 meals that only take 30 minutes to cook. Kept getting all the customers orders mixed up, didn't serve anyone in the order they were received, forgot the extra cornbread I ordered, and on top
