Great ambiance, great drinks but the paella was just a little bit bland for my liking! For $60 I expected the seafood paella to blow my socks off but it was just okay. The mussels in garlic sauce though, oh my god. They were by far the best thing we had on the menu. Melt-in-your mouth tender and we had to get two bread baskets to lap up all of the sauce it came with. If it wasn’t socially acceptable I would’ve licked the plate clean. Pricey place but a few items (mussels, cocktails) are worth it!

Overall this is a great place. Service and atmosphere were pleasant. Having had a lot of Spanish food due to our heritage, we were very much looking forward to the food and felt that, even though it was good, it was not amazing. We ordered the patatas bravas, the gambas al ajillo, the seafood paella and the lamb chops. The potatoes and the lamb chops were great - but the gambas were a bit on the colder side. The paella was just underwhelming - not bad but not amazing. Overall would come back for a spanish food craving, service was great.

I was invited to Aioli Bodega Espanola for a holiday lunch get together with fellow staff co-workers. It’s my first time here. The lunch was on a Tuesday (12/5) afternoon. Never had Spanish food before so was really looking forward to the experience. The restaurant dining area is a bit tight between tables but the owners seem to manage the space well. Our server was friendly and hospitable. She read through the days special and offered us options for drinks. She tended to our needs and took care of us. Service is a 5/5. Our food once ordered came within 15 minutes. It was warm but cooler than expected. Presentation of the dishes were ok probably deserving a 4/5. I ordered the Ravioles Caseros, a house made ravioli stuffed with herbs and fontina cheese, in a shiitake mushroom sauce. It was yummy and is different from other raviolis I’ve had at Italian eateries; but this is Spanish food and I enjoyed my meal. A 4.5/5. Value to price ratio is about a 4/5. Prices are on the higher side compared to other eateries in the area. Overall experience is about a 4/5. In all, Aioli Bodega Espanola offers a unique dining experience unlike other eateries. It’s not your common American, Italian, Mexican, or Asian cuisine. So if you’re looking for something different and are okay with paying extra for the experience, Aioli Bodega Espanola should top your list. Went here off a coworkers recommendation. We had the paella and all I can say is wow. It’s a huge portion that’s meant for two but could honestly feed more. It does take a while to make but that’s fine as we had drinks and an appetizer before the main meal came out. Perfect for date night 5/5

The food itself was delicious, the majority of meals on the menu are served at small portions, so you may need to order a lot to have your fill. Our waiter was very welcoming, but it seemed that if you weren't a regular, treatment towards the customer may be different. I wished him a goodnight, making eye contact, before leaving, but he was too preoccupied in greeting others merely walking past the restaurant.

My boyfriend and I had a pleasant evening for our dinner. We made reservations ahead of time but they were able to seat us earlier than that when we arrived early. Our server was friendly and attentive. The artwork throughout the restaurant was beautiful and reminiscent of the time we went to Spain. Our food arrived quickly and tasted exactly as I expected. I only rated it as a four because the food was good, but it wasn’t spectacular. It’s definitely worth trying out and a great place to bring a date.

Great home-like restaurant! It is very "warm" and peaceful inside ! You can meet the owner there. He will not only help you find a table, but he will try to find the best spot for you, and then he will definitely ask if you like everything, not once! It is very nice and you will feel that friendly atmosphere. The waiters are very helpful and fast. The food is absolutely fresh and delicious! Top notch restaurant! By the evening there are a lot of people, and the restaurant is not big, I advise you to make a reservation! I also advise you to go there during the warm weather to sit outside(courtyard). It's very romantic!

Fresh and tasty! This is my 3rd Spanish restaurant in Sacramento and Only this place brings me back to what I ate in Spain. They cooked octopus perfectly! It’s very very soft. If you cook the octopus a little bit long l, it’s tough to chew. If you cook less, it doesn’t absorb the spice and might have a fish smell. This was the best octopus! Mussels and paella are fresh and tasty too. A Server was nice enough and I enjoyed my meal quite well. Family friendly restaurants

Busy Saturday night. Staff was friendly and attentive. The food was very good and served in a timely manner- very nice presentation. We enjoyed a delicious raspberry chocolate cake for dessert. I dressed up and was hot because the doors were open and no air conditioning. A little noisy but I call it lively. Enjoyed!

Goooood tapas with great wines. Staff is gentle, the boss is a warm hearted man. The table at the corner is so lovely and you can see the midtown street vibe.

Came for the lunch and was impressed with the food and the service. Outdoor seating is comfortable and in a nice part of town. For under 25 bucks including tip it is slightly more expensive than other downtown lunch options but also a higher end option. Spanish vibes on point. Salmon and salad were both flavored perfectly, I enjoyed the caper sauce on the salmon. Great place for a business lunch.

Came here with a large group of family. We took the waiter’s advice and went family style with a variety of tapas and several paellas. It was the perfect amount of food! The atmosphere and service were phenomenal and the food was beautiful and delish! They safely accommodated gluten free, dairy free, and shellfish free folks. The mushroom paella was an excellent vegetarian option as well! (Pictured: seafood + pork + chicken paella)

On 2 separate occasions I have dined-in and ordered their soups and tapas -- all items ordered were excellent. Of particular note were the vegetarian soups - Creamy Asparagus (hot) and Watermelon Gazpacho (cold). Also, I could eat the Patatas Bravas (fried potatoes tapas) all day everyday if given the opportunity.
