First time there, celebrated a friend's birthday. Food was good, could have been a little hotter on the temp, beautiful venue, service was good. Will definitely give it another try.
Came here for date night! We had a reservation and were promptly seated. Our server was friendly and came to check on us many times throughout the night.
They gave bread and oil throughout the night. I ordered the risotto special and my partner got the rigatoni. She asked for it vegetarian and they kindly did so. We paired our dinner with a red wine that was suggested to us by the server that was delicious. We ended our night with the tiramisu (not pictured) that was fluffy!
We were seated in an area that was covered by glass and had festive decorations. The glass allowed us to see the main street as it was raining and it made for a wonderful ambiance.
Added bonus - they validate parking at the garage that's attached to the same building!
The Il Fornaio in Sacramento is the most elegant I have dined in of this chain of restaurants. It has an elegant main dining room with a high ceiling and the longest marble top bar I have ever seen. The food was delicious. The center cut ribeye served in a brandy peppercorn sauce was excellent.
This was a delicious restaurant. We ordered the bolognese, the margherita pizza, the mare chiaro pasta and bruschetta for appetizer. The pastas were great, the pizza was a bit underwhelming but overall great experience.
Meraviglioso! My boyfriend and I are here for the long weekend and went here the last two nights because we were so impressed with every aspect after our first dinner. The entire experience is five star from the tastes of the foods to the service! Highly recommend for a relaxing and delicious Italian dinner.
I love love love this restaurant. Every time I’m in Sacramento I make sure I pop in here for lunch. I didn’t have lunch this visit but I did get a croissant and tea. The decor of this restaurant always have me in awe! These massive wooden doors get me every time. I feel like I’ve stepped back in time. The service was wonderful. The ladies in the morning are full of life. They had great recommendations.
Went to II Fornaio for their thanksgiving dinner. It was delicious and the team was fantastic. I have also gone to happy hour a few times and I am continuously impressed.

Everything was very good but the chicken Masala yesterday was surprisingly a little tough, although the taste was good as usual. There were no more than three other occupied tables for late lunch, so perhaps the chef left it in the pan a bit too long? I'm sure it's a rare occurrence! We enjoyed our meal nonetheless 👌😊
Celebrated our office holiday party last night! One of the busiest nights in the downtown area all year. The service was second to none! Fancy cocktails were on point and the food ~ wow! Staff outdid themselves last night!! Always one of my favorite restaurants and last night was magical!
A more upscale choice for date night before or after a game at the Golden 1 Center, or for lunch during the workday. The service is outstanding but the food was nothing spectacular. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu, made some great recommendations and offered other insights on the menu that we wouldn't have known as first time visitors. I tried the lasagna on his recommendation and was not disappointed, but my wife was not too impressed with her salmon and sides.

Great Italian food! Excellent customer service and delicious food. They have private room for party so perfect for people wants some privacy or older people that have hearing issue. I got my grandma some flowers and they placed it nice for us. Highly recommended this location and will come back again!
Amazing dinner!! Beautifully decorated for the holidays but also a clean and elegant restaurant all year long. Hope to return to Sacramento and enjoy dining here again soon!! It's a must and their seasonal specials are exquisite!!
