Great food! We sat outside and got to smell the meat being cooked right on the grill which made us even more hungry for our delicious food. If you have a big group I would recommend sharing a little bit of everything. You can definitely not go wrong with brisket or ribs.

In town for a business trip and wasn't disappointed. Warm Brie appetizer, oysters on the half shell, salad and Pork Chop. Was totally full after appetizer course, but I took one bite of the pork chop and couldn't resist (powered through like an American!). Wait staff was knowledgeable, very prompt and polite. Only giving it 4 stars due to a little too much sand in the oysters.

Can’t believe I’ve been in Sacramento for years without coming here. The food is great and so are the prices. Only complaint was that I wish I got a little more than 4 slices of steak. Great quality though!

Great service and food. Can’t beat that at an airport. About $20 per person if you don’t order too much booze.

Good place to have a drink and a burger. The appetizers are just the right amount of cute for the wife.

It was very good. I ordered the petrale sole. I was not expecting it to be breaded, so I was a little disappointed, however, it was very tasty. The fingerling potatoes were creamy and flavorful as well. Our waiter was exceptionally polite, personable, and attentive. The other dishes ordered looked equally as nice, though a little healthier than mine, which I would have preferred. The salmon special was said to have been quite nice. I'd choose that next time.

I've been to Esquire Grill in a couple occasions for company parties. This last week, we were there and had bacon wrapped shrimp that was the best I've ever had. They offered delicious cheese, tasty marinated beef, and luscious desserts that I could not keep away from. There was also chicken that was good and egg rolls. I am not a vegetarian so I was not disappointed but I think that they should have had at least one vegetarian option other than mushrooms. The bartender was very pleasant and went out of his way to make sure that people also had water, which I always appreciate.

Food was awesome. Rib eye was soft and juicy. Angus burger was cooked perfect, and was really good. Had reservations showed up 12 min early and was seated right away. Price not bad.

The pork chops were thick, big & juicy! Staff was friendly and efficient, environment is large, not at all noisy, and quite nice. The veggies (spinach and chard) was a bit salty...chard was chewy), but no complaints about the rest. We didn't have dessert, but the choices could have been better

I had never been to Esquire until a group of friends and I decided to go in for Wednesday happy hour, which also happens to be when they offer $1 oysters! My friends and I were treated like rockstars from being greeted by the host to be taken care of by the bartender. Excellent service, delicious drinks, fresh food - especially the oysters. After we were done eating, we weren't rushed out of the area which was a major plus. It was a great experience and I look forward to returning soon.

Went here for a work dinner and ate one of the best burgers of my life. The burger has bacon jam, fried shallots, and fried egg mayo. It was amazing! Service was great. There is valet parking, street parking, and parking structures really close by.

Delicious food at a great location, just bring a big fat wallet because you'll be paying for it. I've gone there off and on for over 20 years and everything I've ever had there has been nearly perfect or downright divine. But like I said that comes at a heavy price. I would give it a greater rating, but quite honestly a meal there would cost about a weeks salary for a lot of people. I will give them credit though, they've created an outdoor grilling event during the summer that makes it more affordable for the average person to dine there. Some people might ask what the difference is between it and Ella. They're actually pretty similar in price point in ambience, but more things are literally grilled here. But I think Esquire Grill has a slightly older average age. I would guess that Ella has an average age of about 35 and Esquire Grill has an average age of about 50. I'm not being ageist, I'm just letting you all know in case you're looking for a particular type of crowd.

Had dinner here, my wife had the Artisan cheese platter and I had the Esquire burger. Both dishes were very tasty. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was great.
