I wanted to explore our capital a little more. We needed some good lunch, & my partner requested for me to try Cafe Bernardo. It's "rare" that I'll order a Hamburger, and it was Delish! I kept stealing Jim's Sweet Potato Fries! And dipping them in their yumm Aioli sauces. I'll Most def. Be back!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Cafe Bernardo, Friday evening, and I must say the experience was nothing short of extraordinary, thanks in large part to the outstanding service provided by Joaquin. From the moment I stepped into the restaurant, Joaquin's attentiveness stood out. He welcomed me warmly, exuding a genuine friendliness that set the tone for the entire evening. Throughout the meal, he demonstrated an impressive knowledge of the menu and a sincere passion for the culinary offerings. On Joaquin's recommendation, I opted for the Spice Rubbed Mary's Chicken Breast, and I am delighted to say that it was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were expertly balanced, and the presentation was nothing short of artistry on a plate. Joaquin's suggestion showcased not only his familiarity with the menu but also his keen understanding of his patrons' preferences. What truly set Joaquin apart was his ability to enhance the dining experience without being intrusive. He anticipated my needs, ensuring that my water glass was never empty and that I felt well taken care of without feeling overwhelmed. His professional yet personable approach added a layer of warmth to the overall ambiance of the restaurant. In an era where exceptional service is increasingly rare, Joaquin's dedication to his craft and his customers is commendable. Cafe Bernardo should take pride in having such a stellar member on their team. I left the restaurant not only satisfied with a delightful meal but also with a lasting impression of exceptional service. I look forward to returning to Cafe Bernardo and, undoubtedly, requesting Joaquin's assistance in navigating the menu once again. His passion for his work and commitment to providing an outstanding dining experience should be celebrated. Kudos to Joaquin and the entire Cafe Bernardo team for making my evening memorable!

A very nice and cute place 🥰❤😁 a lovely and welcoming environment. Food was decently good. The portion sizes were small but its a okay. A new place to try. You will have to do self serve water here. They have a water station where you grab your own cup and fill up ur glass with water 💧

Stopped in for a morning drink on a Friday. Delicious espresso martinis made by Ness. Super cute aesthetic. We sat outside on an early fall day, what a vibe.

Thank you to our server Michael for exceptional service. During our extended stay he went above above during making it a personalized experience during my father's chemo treatment. Every morning we were always greeted with a smile and he was attentive to my father's ailments. He always asked about how my father was feeling. It really brighten my father's spirits. This customer service experience will be remembered. Thank you for making it easier for my family during this difficult time.

Great easy place to grab food on a night we are in Sacramento for a show. Fast and friendly. And not too expensive. The menu offers something for everyone. I love the Stir Fry Noodle bowl. My husband always gets their burgers!

Cafe Bernardo's in Midtown is an absolute standout when it comes to culinary excellence! Freshness and flavor are the hallmarks of this place, making every visit an absolute delight. Whether it's breakfast or dinner, their dishes never fail to impress. The Steak is an absolute must-try, perfectly cooked and bursting with mouthwatering flavors. And let's talk about their Cuatro Palmas cocktails—divine and perfectly complementing the menu. What elevates this place beyond just great food is its perfect ambiance for lunch meetings. It's become our go-to spot for discussions over delicious meals. But what truly steals the show here is the impeccable service, especially from our favorite waiters, Alonzo and Alexis. Their warmth and attention make every visit memorable, adding an extra layer of enjoyment to the fantastic dishes. Cafe Bernardo's in Midtown has won our hearts with its exceptional food, delightful cocktails, and the outstanding service provided by Alonzo and Alexis. It's a place that consistently earns our admiration for its culinary prowess and attention to making every dining experience unforgettable.

Third location for the chain I have visited and quality every time. Good amount of seating inside with sliding window walls to share the great weather. Outside seating is lovely benches with pillows for an added perk to the experience. Had the Turkey burger which like before was juicy, tasty. The menu is not the largest, but it does have some quality choices for sandwiches and salads. Oh, and the pastry display is hard to resist. Iced tea was good. The carrot cake’s last piece when home with me. It lived a good, if short, life that day.

Interesting concept restaurant located in the Fort Sutter hotel. This is not a traditional sit down restaurant; you order and the food is brought out to your table. The avocado toast is a good choice and is highlighted by a topping of pickled onions. The chicken sausage was the highlight of the breakfast and should definitely be tried. The berries side was ok but perhaps I did not get the best batch. Coffee is good.

Birthday lunch for my wife. Great ambiance. Delicious food. The coffee mug came with lipstick that neither of us was wearing. We appreciated the quality control, don't want those mugs overflowing on delivery.

We stopped in for Sunday morning breakfast as a family. The restaurant is beautiful and the weather was nice so they had their giant windows open, creating a nice indoor/outdoor experience. We had the Benedict (ham subbed for avocado) and the brioche french toast (needed more fruit). They were delicious!! Very well priced for the area and atmosphere you get. We're excited to bring family back for brunch some weekend!

Enjoyed a late lunch with a friend. We went outside and it was surprisingly quiet since the restaurant is right on Capital Ave. We ordered the combo salad where you pick two or three favorites, and that choice did not disappoint. We had a chance to sit and relax, dish on mutual friends, without feeling rushed. I'd like to come back for breakfast sometime. Midtown has some pretty decent restaurants now, which is a switch from when I moved here in 1985.

We went to the old Cafe for years and years. I miss the old decor and atmosphere. The service is really slow. We got our coffee after our breakfast came. They had two managers and it didn't seem like they coordinated really well. Stacy who is at the fountains Bernardo is better at coordinating staff.

Love the new Cafe Bernado! The atmosphere is really hip cool with several different areas to enjoy. Love the lounge bar in the back and cool private conference/ dining room. The food quality is very good, fresh and tasty. The food and beverage prices are very reasonable. The service is good (not great), I gave 4 of 5 stars because we had to wave our server down several times during our meal (and servers from other sections would see we wanted someone but walk away or ignored us), but the server was pleasant when he came. We tried the Thai noodles (Bernardo staple), curry, Bahn mi and a burger. Everything was delicious, fresh and nice portions. Our chocolate cake dessert was just ok. They have a good selection of craft beer and make a decent cocktail too. I would definitely recommend this location over any other and will be back very soon.

My wife and I always come here for dinner/ drinks and are consistently very good. This time, we were here for breakfast that she wanted and was not impressed with it. She ordered hashbrowns and eggs with an extra $ 4.00 for ham. Rather than be given a standard slice of ham, the breakfast chef / fry cook or management gave her LUNCH MEAT PACKAGED TYPE VERY THIN SLICES OF OVERCOOKED HAM!! Unacceptable and let the waiter & morning supervisor know which they handled well. The supervisor offered to take the $4:00 off and provided a positive professional attitude on the matter. The restaurant makes it a point to tell you that it's a Neeman Ranch ham and therefore?! No, I do not recommend this place for ham & eggs. As stated earlier, it is excellent for lunch or dinner, and we will be back.

Such a great experience. Stopped here for a quick lunch while dress shopping. Lots of healthy food choices and very welcoming environment. The timing for the food was a little long, about the same timing of a normal sit down restaurant. The food was amazing and fresh. I would highly recommend this little cafe. The only I wish they had were more waste baskets and recycle bins. The bathrooms were also clean.
