We decided to try Mendocino farms for the first time based on the reviews and menu. There is metered parking in the front, if you can find an open spot. There is parking on the neighboring streets too. This restaurant is part of the Ice Blocks. The menu is pretty diverse and they also have a kids menu which is awesome. My younger kids really enjoyed the chicken tenders but not the cheese quesadilla so much. They also liked the vegan ranch dressing. We ordered the pork belly banh mi sandwich, the chimichurri steak and bacon sandwich, and the modern Caesar salad. The sandwiches were very flavorful but on a smaller side. The Caesar salad was quite large and very good, the best of all the items we ordered. They have some really unique lemonade and vegetable base drinks which were really good. Very healthy food and delicious. I would come again.
Really good place to grab a salad or sandwich. It's a very chill atmosphere and welcoming atmosphere along with good food. I liked how if you sat at a table, you could use your phone to link your order to the table so they could bring it out to you instead of shouting your name. Way cool!
Great selection of sandwiches, salads and more. High quality ingredients and good portions to boot. I ordered the Cesar salad and my friend ordered the Not so fried chicken sandwich. We enjoyed our lunch indoors, although they have outdoor seating too. The service was fantastic, with a system setup where you input your receipt number into a scanned QR code and they know where to bring the food too. Service was efficient and quick, plus they came around to clean up as we finished. There's free water in case you're not ordering a drink. Solid lunch place in Ice Block.
OMG! We found this place by accident and when we walked in a kind young man explained our options- so helpful! We had the avocado quinoa salad and the goat cheese with beets salad along with farm club sandwich . Fresh ingredients and the price were reasonable too! About $12-15 per salad or sandwich!

Taking everyone's recommendation into account, I ordered the kale avocado quinoa salad. To my delight, the food arrived promptly, thanks to the quick service provided. The salad was absolutely amazing, and the portion size was sufficient to keep me energized throughout the afternoon.
The food is great! Portions are pretty small for the price but nothing too crazy. You need to use your phone and scan a QR code on the table to get your food, it's a pretty dumb system to replace table markers. Everyone who pays has to do this, in a group with 6 people we decided to move inside and had to scan 6 more QR codes to do so. Just seems like a poor attempt to modernize their system but ends up being clunky and annoying compared to a standard table marker. Apart from that, the staff is super nice, I would recommend.
Food was ready for pick up 5 minutes ahead of time! This was my first time in here and I am happy to say I was greeted almost immediately and offered service! The food was amazing! The food was absolutely amazing! Everything was fresh and made exactly right. We will be going back here soon. Best food I have had in Sacramento.
Good healthy options with a nice vibe to the restaurant. Helpful and friendly staff. A little pricey for the amount of food, but it was good. I got the pork belly and bacon sandwich. Tasted great, just wish it was bigger.
Please come to Portland, OR! This place was such a great experience. My wife said her gluten free steak sandwich might have been the best sandwich she's ever had. Demolished that thing! I got an avocado superfood something bowl with chicken, and it's a feast. Amazing sauce. Amazing textures. Amazing flavor, quality, and value. This is exactly the feel good fresh meal I was looking for. Nothing to pick out. This would be a very challenging recipe to make at home. Ok I'll stop rambling, but I'll definitely be back this weekend before I head home. Come to Portland! 😍 5 stars for the great staff, clean place, and also bottomless juices sweetened with agave instead of sugar.
It's nice to support local. It wasn't busy when we had our early dinner. Cashier was awesome. I enjoyed the side soup but I wish the meat and cheese were heated too like my toast. I think my sandwich turned cold easily.
We had a really great time on a date night here! This is a small, casual restaurant is located in a really fun area. The staff is exceptional, thank you Eric for the hospitality and we we delighted to be "special guests" that evening!
I love that Mendocino Farms has a seasonal menu. I've ordered from here before and have loved everything I've had. This night my wonderfully patient fiance ordered the Peruvian Steak sandwich and it was my favorite thing of the evening. I had the half sandwich and soup combo, with the "Not So Fried" Chicken Sandwich and a seasonal soup, both were delicious, as well as the side of tofu salad. We also sampled one of each of the cookies they sold, and the Lemon Cheesecake cookie was amazing!
We will definitely be returning sooner than later.
We came from North Carolina to visit Sacramento and decided to eat at Mendocino Farms for supper. We would recommend this place to anyone, both visiting and local. We had the pleasure of being served by Colin, who was more than delightful and willing to provide us a pleasant experience. I was hoping to remember to take a picture of my food but it looked so good so I completely forgot. I've included a picture of my empty plate instead (I got the chicken caprese sandwich). Spicy Cous Curried Couscous! It is the most absolutely amazing thing you can pick up while your there. Its flavor, texture and quality is just on another level. Speaking of another level the Salads and sandwiches are also fantastic. Anytime there is a Mendocino farms near I don't even need to think where to go for a quick quality meal they are the best!
We went here twice this week as we were traveling through CA. WOW! We were so impressed with Mendocino Farms!! The food was exceptional - creative flavors, delicious chicken, fresh ingredients. The staff was very friendly and the decor was so cute and modern. Really wish they'd open locations in AZ! We've already recommended to family and friends.
Mama Chen’s chicken 🐓 salad 🥗 is my favorite. We come here on my days off and sometimes on my workdays and do a big lunch order because we all love ❤️ fresh food!
Finally made it to Mendocino Farms after driving by it so many times and thinking, hmm that place looks good. Located in the ice blocks off R Street, this is a great spot for lunch. Parking can be tough as there's limited spots in the parking area and then it's a free for all on street parking, made even harder by construction around the area. After some helpful suggestions from the guy at the register, we decided to share a Not So Fried Chicken sandwich and it was really good. I am not a fan of mustard, but the mustard bbq sauce was really good. I got it on the side to be safe, but found myself smothering the sandwich with it. The house made lemonades are all really good and refreshing. I had a bite my son's chicken tenders and they were also tasty. Might have to try the thai chicken sandwich next time!
I can't say enough good things about this place. The space, the decoration, the food, the service - all 5 stars. I've never had a problem eating here and I just realized I've been here so many times and never written a review! Check it out, you won't be disappointed.
