Awesome veggie burrito! Melted cheese with sweet potato. Beer is cheap too!

Great food, pub service. Very busy place. There is no heat here. The outdoor heaters are worthless. Moved inside to find the air vent blowing across the bar. Had our jackets zipped up the whole time we ate. It is what it is. A popular place. It's loud, small, noisy. Great food and drink. Will be back.

Juicy Lucy burger. One of my favorite burgers in Sacramento. If you haven't tried one...go get one today. Gooey cheese *inside* the burger and on top. They make a great bloody mary as well :)

We’ve been to Golden Bear many times, usually for dinner, or late night drinks, but never brunch! I got Chilaquiles (top) with an over easy egg on top…chilaquiles are quickly becoming my favorite brunch item! T-Man got the Breakfast Lucy (bottom), which is a ridiculous open-faced spin on their normal Juicy Lucy burger. Our friends got the breakfast sando and breakfast burrito and were both also satisfied. Golden Bear might have to be our new go-to brunch spot!

By the time I got home I was already craving another and I’m convinced it’s in the top 3 burgers in Sacramento.

the Slow Roasted Pulled Pork Sliders were "awesome" according to our son who wolfed all three in record time. The barbecue sauced served with each order packed enough heat to get the taste buds going,

One really shouldn't critique a restaurant on one dish alone. So this is not a review of Golden Bear overall, only their fabulous Juicy Lucy Burger. Hopefully I'll be returning again soon to try some other dishes. But then again, I might be so hooked on t

I've been walking by this place for years threatening to stop in… My wife has been here plenty of times but it was before we met. We were out on a dog walk and decided to try one of their pretzels she claims are the best. They were, the pretzel that we had was incredibly good, so good in fact we ended up getting a hotdog also.

Amusing drinking and dining spot-popular with university students but as a foursome of 30-40 somethings, we held down a table and enjoyed a meal and drinks to end a fun day in Sac. My favorite dish was the Kimchi Fried Rice. We tried some pizzas as well. Excellent bartending - he was so busy but kept all the orders straight and got the drinks out fast! The Bánh mì is still on the menu along with a few others from the episode of DinersDriveInsDives-but it seems the menu is way smaller and the focus is more on the fun bar and music venue part of the business. Solid bar/dining experience.

Awesome food, nice cocktails & beer options! Would describe this spot as eccentric chill (in the best way lol) Had “Bell the Cat” cocktail which reminded me of sour patch kids- sweet/sour and delicious. Mushroom pizza & Salad were soo tasty, downed quickly before a second round of drinks (cider & pale ale). 10/10 wanna come back ASAP.

A Midtown favorite, the Golden Bear did not disappoint during a recent lunch visit. Great food, good drink selection, and an eclectic display of local art. I think the walls and floors were still pulsing from the dance party the night before!

Stopped by due to an online recommendation. We were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is a little sparse but the food makes up for it. The chef takes great pride in his work. The turnip soup was amazing.

Dope DJ, has two different bars/dance floors. First room is more chill, hang out. The back rooms is where you go to the twerked on.

Small, neighborhood bar that makes fantastic food. The bar is usually pretty busy on weekend nights and they even get busy for brunch during the typically busy hours.

Excellent little hole-in-the-wall bar with great atmosphere and even better cocktails. The Bartender was super chill and very knowledgeable about things do in the city and their drink recommendations are spot on. The burgers, sandwiches, and fries were easily the best we had in the area during our week stay in Sacramento. If you're craving some burgers and cocktails, this is the place to go!

Been told to come here several times. Finally made it and glad I did. The Juicy Lucy lived up to the hype. Can’t wait to try the Banh Mi and the Tacos. Friendly staff. Funky little spot where you order with the bartender. Great outdoor patio too.

Great for the local bar it seems to be. I’ve only been once for their Monday comedy, which was entertaining.

Delicious food. Service was great. They let us sample the kimchi before ordering and offered beer tasting as well. Super good with social distancing and all COVID-19 related concerns.

We were in town and saw this placed featured on DDD the night before so we decided to come in and check it out. At first we were highly disappointed because it was the brunch menu and we couldn’t get the regular items. Bummed out we decided to order something because we were already there. We ordered the French Toast special, had no expectations, we ate it and WOW. Probably the best French Toast I’ve ever eaten. It was the Orange Brûlée French Toast. We were still hungry after so we ordered the AM Tacos. Another WOW. The thing that made these tacos awesome was their homemade tortillas. It had a nice texture and chew to it and made all the difference. The best part of this was our bill. Ordered two dishes and a beer. $25 with tax. We thought there was a mistake. Nope. If those two dishes were any indication of what their regular items are, we are coming back for sure. We sat at the bar and service and food were wonderful.

The breakfast pizza is a great combination of typical breakfast items you get all combined on a solid crust. The yolk from the fried egg goes well with the crust. Highly recommended. You can share a pizza between 2 people.
