Been going here for years. The atmosphere is better than before. Nice TVs to watch games. Cheese fries are fabulous. We order cheese steak with cheese and meat only.

Love this place it's the best ! ! ! Small Cheese steak with Mayo cut in half ~ ~ ~ THANK YOU ! ! ! Don't ever change ~ ~ ~ However if you were to add Hot Pastrami on the same rolls you use I would be there 3 times a week ! ! ! Give it a try ~ ~ ~ ~ SEE YA SOON ~ Bob

This place has the best phillies for miles. I have no idea why they trust me to make my own decisions cheese wise though. I had been getting pepper jack which was amazing. But i happened to try the white american and when did i think saw the face of god, and he is a sandwich.

Service was fast and friendly and their menu is simple and awesome. This place has been around for a long time and for good reason, they know what they're doing and they deliver high quality food and service.

Always good. The “Works” is classic cheesesteak. Their fries are the best!! Must try.

small place, really good CS sandwiches, this month I will have been eating there for THIRTY years.... I try to eat there at least twice a month I live right on the border of South Sacramento and Elk Grove so it's quite a drive for me to go there now. I aways order a large works combination so I get the sandwich with melted cheese sauce, onions,, green peppers, & mushrooms, fries no salt and a fountian soda for a special price.. btw it will be thirty six years in July 2022 It's now September of 2022 I was just there the other day, Some changes have been made inside. There are 2 restrooms, however one has been designated employees only so that only leaves 1 for customers and I think it's gonna end up causing problems, Especially since when I used that restroom, I could find no lock on the door so there is no telling who can walk in on you, whats up with that. Glad to report that the food is as good as ever. I was there today, Thursday, 10/13/22 just after 1pm avoiding the lunch rush...used the rest room and looked closely at the doorknob, found a small lock button that is out of sight below the knob,, so felt much more comfortable using the restroom 🚻 😅 Yes I had my regular menu item, and yes they call me by name and I no longer have to say what I want. 5 stars and two thumbs up👍👍Try it, I think you will like it. 2/22/23, Surprise, yes I went there again today. I had my usual, except now I have the sandwich cut in half because now that I'm 70 years old I can't eat as much as i did when I was a young 35 year-old, as usual it was fantastic, I will be going back and back ..... 08/31/2023,, Back again, Like everywhere else more people are coming in to eat Now that the big COVID scare seems to be over. It seems that the number of phone orders or online orders are also picking up, Pun intended. By the way I only update my review may be after around 8 or 9 visits.

I Go there for lunch quite frequently and they are consistent and good tasting with their food But even have a kid meal which is good for me since I don't eat as much as I used to when I was a lot younger lol This is a good store, and the food is good!

Absolutely love this place! I've been going here for twenty years and its always been great! they have the best Philly cheesesteaks in all of Sacramento hands down!

Like most reviews, I've been coming here for years!! At least the past 18 years or so, although i don't make it out here as often as I used too. Very consistent food, I've never been disappointed with my meals here... May not be exactly Philly style as some might say but this place kills all the other cheese steak places I've tried in the sac area. Portions have gotten smaller over the years (use to get the small cheesesteak and be full, now I have to get the large) and prices have gone up, but you pay for the quality in my opinion. A must have when in the area!!
