We ordered to go, though I wish we had stayed to eat. The interior is modern with Japanese flair. This would be a great hangout spot with friends.
The food was fantastic! They offered us some mango eggplant because they had made too much. It was soooo good! The rolls are great and the fish is quality. I will definitely be back and will dine in.
Food is great so far and the servers were all really nice. Had all the tacos available and enjoyed them all as well as the fried artichoke hearts. The outside seating is spacious and the inside is nice.
Had delicious food, excellent service and such a awesome atmosphere. We will definitely be back and recommend this place to family and friends. Thank you so much to Billy, he made our first time there such a great experience.
Aji Dori is my fave new go to sushi restaurant. Great ambiance, super clean, food is fresh and a wide selection. Something for everyone. Family friendly although I’ve mainly seen the 20-30 year old crowd when I’m there. Lunch specials too.
New Japanese spot on R Street. We stopped For Happy Hour to check it out and get some small plates. Everyone was helpful and made sure we had everything that was needed. Aji Dori has a pretty extensive menu and I’m excited to go back and try some of their main plates. Happy Hour menu and full menu in the pics, check them out!
Incredible happy hour menu. They change it every month. Prices and portions were great. Gorgeous indoor and outdoor seating with great ambiance. Can’t wait to come back
Amazing vegan sushi options! Just wow. Taste is super flavorful and filling. Great draft beers to choose from - and a happy hour! Friendly staff and great service. Will definitely be back next time I am in town.
The food was fantastic. Great customer service, staff was very attentive. The Chefs Choice sashimi was so good. The seafood was very fresh. Will come back again to get more sashimi.

Absolutely delicious. We ordered a bunch of items off of the street food section of the menu (1/2 off on Sundays!) and every bite was amazing. Particular favorites were the albacore, kalbi fries, and pork belly. Service was delightful. Added Bonus: the bathroom facilities are pristine. Definitely planning to come back with friends.
We were lucky enough to attend the soft opening on Monday, June 10. Not only was the food on the first night outstanding, the orders were quickly and attentively served. The staff is friendly and the food is top notch. I'm sure this restaurant will succeed.
AMAZING FOOD worth every penny. I’m actually already planning my next visit. The server was great in helping me decide how many dishes were sufficient for the amount of people so we didn’t over-order (sushi just doesn’t taste as good when you take it home and eat later). Loving this addition to the R street block!
First time here...we are a group of picky eaters and we LOVED the food. Excellent fusion (try the kalbi tacos) and traditional (negihama cone) food. Same for the service: excellent. Nice atmosphere, modern but not noisy. Thank you Aji Dori!
Tasty selections, fun decor. Menu is fairly concise, not your typical 100 types of rolls. Upscale food in casual setting. Menu is lacking descriptions - guess I will have to try them all!
2nd time here. Went crazy this time ordering as many different things with the family. Came with our little ones, very family friendly. But more importantly the food is amazing. Seriously loved everything we tried.
