Review The Francis Southern Table And Bar - Saint Francisville

This restaurant was recommended as a good place to eat. We sat out back by the beautiful oak tree. It was so pretty with the string lights. As the sun went down, it started getting chilly, but someone came and put a heater right by our table. How nice!! The boudin balls were really good with the pepper jelly vinaigrette! I got the chicken fried chicken plate. Came with green beans and mashed potatoes. It was a huge portion and I couldn't eat it all. Overall, it was good and I would come back when in the area again for some southern country cooking.

Peak hours are a mess! Parking is horrible and the wait can be 1-1/2 hours! Nope. Not me! I've eaten here several times and the food is very good. Maybe it's pandemic related and other places aren't open? Will only go at off times in the near future.

This was my second time going to this restaurant and I enjoyed it even more every we had was delicious! It's about a 25 to 30 minute drive from my house but it was well worth the travel!!

Wonderful service! Loved loved the food! I got a child's plate and it was the biggest grilled cheese I ever seen! I've been so many times and every time they do not disappoint!

We really enjoyed The Francis. Great atmosphere and really good food. They have nightly specials and you can choose to dine inside or out on the patio under the huge oaks. Everything we tried on our visits was really good. I have no complaints whatsoever. Service was always very good and the servers are always friendly and attentive. Great place to go for lunch or dinner!

The food was delicious! I had the Triple Play seafood platter with biggest shrimp and oysters along with perfectly fried catfish. Our waiter, Christian, did an excellent job waiting on us and made our experience amazing!

The food here was really good. The service was prompt and efficient. I will be going back for a second time in the near future. The food is not as seasoned as I would expect but it would be one of the top 5 seafood restaurants in EBR parish easily.

Food was really good. The jacked oysters were delicious. Good drinks. Place was clean. Tables outside have heaters for the winter time.

This place is amazing! The best place I've eaten at in a long time. The food is so delicious and home cooked. Homemade potatoes not instant. Unique fries. I was very impressed. Can't wait to come back!

Everything about my first visit to The Francis was perfect. Our server was Dani and she was wonderful. I was home in Louisiana for a week from Chicago. My mom suggested we have lunch here. We ordered the Boudin Balls for the table and I got a salad and Fried Shrimp Platter. My mom got the Crawfish Etouffee. Everything was absolutely amazing! I highly suggest this place to anyone looking for a great meal and experience!

The wait was 45 minutes to an hour but once we were seated the drinks and food came in a timely manner. The fish was too thin but the shrimp and loaded potato was great. I had a frozen strawberry margarita. I drunk half and knocked it over but the waitress got me another one for free, which was a plus because Most restaurants will make u pay for another one. The cheese bites and spinach dip was awesome appetizers. I will go back but not on a Saturday. Oh I brought a cheesecake to go home and it’s by far the best I’ve had from a restaurant.

We live in Livingston, Louisiana and love driving out to St. Francisville just to eat at The Francis. We’ve never had reason to leave anything less than 5 stars...ever! Food and service are worth the drive!

1st visit, traveled there from Lake Charles, La..Absolutely loved the food, gorgeous atmosphere, & waitress was very good & friendly..can’t wait to visit again!! ���

Today was about the 4th time I’ve eaten here. Usually the food is delicious, not sure if it was their off day but the fried cheese balls weren’t cooked all the and kinda cold. Not sure if the waitress just didn’t understand us, but my husband and I ordered their steak special with grilled shrimp. He asked for well done steak and I wanted a medium rare steak. He’s was what mine should have been and mine was raw and again kinda cold. The manager did come out and asked to take mine back to have the cook recook it. I told them no, and just asked for the check. I’ll give them a chance again, since this is the first time I have been disappointed.

First time to visit The Francis in beautiful St. Francisville. My daughter and I really enjoyed everything about it. The atmosphere, the building, the music, the wonderful wait staff and fabulous food. Definitely return visits in my future to share with my friends.

Hosted a anniversary party in the private room At The Francis today! The food, drinks and atmosphere was amazing and staff was excellent. Our waitress Danny was very engaging and helpful to our large group and made sure everyone was taken care. Best of all she did it with a big smile every time she entered the room! We are glad we chose The Francis! Thank you!

The service was great, thanks Angela!! I had the pasta special, steak and shrimp with penne pasta and didn’t care for it because the pasta was too oily. My husband had a burger that he said was good. We had a little bit of a wait because it was busy. The noise level was really high. We had to almost holler to hear each other. There is nothing to absorb the sound in the building. We will give it another try though.

Amazing. Everything was amazing from the drinks to food. The place is just great. W The wait was a little long but we got ther kinda late so if you don't want to it go early. But that's what bars are for. Will definitely be going back
