Cashier was welcoming and friendly. Food was delicious. I had the pulled pork salad. Fresh veggies and a very large portion of pork. My friend had the brisket plate. Meat was tasty and tender. The sides of potato salad and baked beans were yummy.

The most awesome BBQ I've had in a very long time! I would definitely recommend and make the hour and a half trip to eat here again! Generous portions and reasonable prices! Thanks for providing the best meal of our trip to St. Francisville!

Good food in the heart of St. Francisville! We stopped in after touring the Audubon State Historic Site for a meal and it was really good. The boudin balls are HUGE and very tasty. We also tried a 2-meat, 2-sides barbecue meal with a half chicken and brisket. The chicken, while juicy, just didn't have much flavor to it. It somehow smelled smoky, but really didn't taste smoky or barbecued. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't very memorable. The brisket, however, was amazing! I'm not a huge brisket fan so you've got to have some pretty serious brisket to get a thumbs-up from me, but this lean, tender, juicy brisket is something worth going back for. As for the sides, we got baked beans and corn pudding. The meal also came with a piece of garlic toast. The toast and corn pudding were wonderful. The beans were good, but they were too sweet. I love sweet baked beans, but these were just a bit too sugary. They weren't really bad, just overly sweet enough for us to avoid them on future visits. Their menu a fairly huge selection which is nice, but it seems like they're trying to offer too much at once. When places do this something usually suffers, but since this was my only visit I can't say that's the case here. They have tons of prepared meats along with boudin balls, boudin links, meat pies, cracklin, and more. You can grab a snack, a meal, or meats to cook later at home. It's the kind of place I'd stop in frequently if I lived in the area. A big plus for us were the picnic tables out front since we brought our dog along. You can bring your best friend and still enjoy a great meal! I recommend trying The Francis if you get a chance. You won't be disappointed.

Great service, great food! Had a handful of crackling to start, then ate the bacon cheeseburger with fries. Everything was fresh and delicious! Very nice place!

First time here just got a brisket sandwich with french fries and a Boudin ball. Most everyone that I know likes french fries that are crunchy on the outside and soft in the middle. These french fries were soggy all the way through soaked in grease and flappy. The Boudin ball had a good texture to it but it had zero flavor, bland as could be. The brisket sandwich was banging. Probably some of the best brisket I’ve ever had. Any time that I happen to be in the area I will stop and get the brisket.

We went because we heard about the Boudin pizza that you take home and cook. I also got white chocolate bread pudding and 1/2 lb of homemade crackling. ALL are amazing! The cashier was very sweet and answered all of questions. We didn't get a boudin ball, but they are HUGE!

Just a yankee in town for a short time and looking for some good BBQ. I was referred to The Francis Smokehouse by another out of town friend that eats here whenever he is in town. I first time I had the combo plate and chose pulled pick and brisket and corn casserole as my side. O....M....G! Soooo GOOD!!! I love the BBQ sauce and the meat was very tender and flavorful. Everyone I came in contact with that worked there were very nice and was the epitome of "southern hospitality." I went back the next day for lunch and had pulled pork sandwich.......and as expected......it was awesome. My favorite BBQ by far.......EVER!

Visited yesterday. The food was fantasic and so was the woman behind the counter. She was very friendly and also let us have a taste of some things we never had before. I had 2 breast's of chicken, corn pudding and bread for $4.29. Others in the group had the brisket which was also great and we absolutely love the BBQ sauce. Also tried the pepper jack boudin balls and cracking which both were delish.

I enjoyed the atmosphere, but the charbroiled oysters were raw. The shrimp and grits were salty.
