After being a St. Louis resident for 30 years, I can proudly say I finally have eaten at the Crown Candy Kitchen. Love the old soda fountain charm and the staff were extremely friendly.
I will admit sometime i will check out a popular place and want to say it’s not what it’s all hyped up to be. This is not one. I was praying it lived up to the hype, and it did.
The BLT is even bigger in person then when seen on tv. Delicious is the only word to come to mind because I’m speechless comes out with it’s almost a pound of bacon. 5out of 5 ⭐️ all day long. If you haven’t been, run don’t walk. I’m mad I waited 30 years. That’s a lot of missed opportunities to enjoy such a savory dish.

Such an amazing place. Historic old building. Super nice and friendly staff. Incredible food. The sandwiches are all so good. Grilled cheese, tuna melt and of course, the Heart-stopping BLT. Simply delicious. Get here early or prepare to wait. If you do have to wait, it’s totally worth it.

Great good, very small inside so you will probably have to wait outside for a table. The service was just ok, nothing amazing but the food was excellent and had pretty big portions. The milkshake was enough for both of us to have 1-1/2 tall glasses.

The neighborhood almost made me turn around and drive away. But the restaurant was fine and there seemed to be nothing bad. My family and I went in to eat. It's a cool piece of history with great food. Save room for candy and/or ice cream. Both are made there. I couldn't believe how much bacon was on the BLT! I love me some bacon. The BLT was true to its core and very good. Not overly embellished. The business has been there since 1913 and it is not in the hands of the 4th generation of the family!

Arrived with a long wait—60-90 minutes! However the worker was quick to let us know that we had the option to order food and eat at picnic table across the street. This ended up being a great option.
The BLT is more than enough to share. I love bacon, but even I had to take some of it out. The malts were good. Chocolate malt was my favorite. The stacked shake wasn’t as good in our opinion. The hot dog was cut in half and fried. Super yummy! Cost for a few entrees and 3 malts was around $50, but we were glad to support a local business. The area is definitely not the safest part of town, so keep that in mind. But don’t miss it for that reason alone—I never felt unsafe while visiting. 4 stars because we didn’t get seating inside and because the food was a bit pricey for what we purchased. But overall a great experience.

We really enjoyed visiting this St. Louis institution. Service was excellent. I was given a great recommendation by my server for a coffee flavored ice cream sundae. My kids loved their shakes and my husband only regretted his BLT because he spent the 30 minute drive home in a bacon coma.

The only complaint I have is that the bacon could be just a smidgen more crispy. I'm sure making all of that bacon isn't easy. It's still delicious. I also had a malt. If you only ever get a shake. Try a malt. The candy selection is pretty good as well. Even after waiting in the sun for 30 minutes, it was a delight, and I would do it again.

Wow!! What an AMAZING place! Delicious food, friendly service and reasonable prices. Definitely exciting to slip back in the past in the 110 year old business that cherishes their heritage. If you haven’t been yet, you need to go. We will surely return so I can get a BLT!

This is an absolute must visit. We had lunch there. I have never experienced a BLT sandwich like this! That and a root beer floats will more than satisfy your hunger. I highly recommend it.
