We went to SqWires Restaurant and Market for breakfast, and it did not disappoint! Hubby got the Creole Shrimp Omelette and I went with the SqWires scramble (gravy on the side). Food was delicious, although it looked like I barely made a dent. The potatoes on the bottom were perfect...John was a great server, and the morning drive into the city was worth it, seeing as we beat the brunch rush from their bottomless mimosa and bloody mary bar fans. Great outdoor space, too! If you haven't been, check it out for a cool industrial vibe featuring amazing food and service.
Do yourself a favor and visit this lovely restaurant in St. Louis! The service is unmatched. The staff truly cares about your experience. The food is absolutely amazing – everything we tasted melted in other mouths, but my favorite was the steak. Cooked to perfection. Highly recommend!
Good lunch appetizers the "fish & chips" was a bit dry for the fish and to much batter surrounding a small piece of fish. Others with me went with the chicken, maybe that's what I should had gone with too. Service was a bit slow when looking at it as lunch and it didn't seem like there was that many there.
I must start with peach bread pudding - it was one of the best puddings I tried. And I tried many ;)
Great date spot with live music, outstanding service and delicious food. Friday offers oyster and shrimp bar from 4 to 7 pm and many specials. Friday cod tacos had lots of flavor. We also enjoyed mushroom paste and truffle Mac and Cheese.
Good selection of alcohol and non/alcohol drinks. Many vegan and vegetarian options. Plenty of parking in front of the restaurant and on the street.
Sqwires restaurant was awesome. Service was top notch, wait time was limited and the food was tasty. Real comfort food.
The Turkey Rueben was amazing!!! Like it’s by far one of the best Rueben sandwiches that I’ve had! It’s soo delicious! I had to take my time eating the sandwich because I didn’t want to rush the goodness of the sandwich!! Get it! I promise you won’t be disappointed!

SqWires is not only a restaurant, but a wedding venue as well! They have a house across the street where you and your wedding party can get ready and relax before the ceremony/reception.
You can have the wedding on the patio right in front of the fountain if there is beautiful weather and then party all night long in their indoor event space.
At night the venue can be quite dark, which makes for a lovely setting for all the guests, but if you're wanting to take photos, make sure to bring lights/flash to lighten up the room and capture those special moments between the bride and groom.
They even gave us our own space to eat our vendor meal at, which was a nice touch. We were able to relax for a few minutes before the reception got hoppin'!
The staff was friendly and welcoming too! Check out SqWires for your next event or just stop for a bite to eat :)

Known for brunch, this boutique place is a fun to enjoy for any meals. Located in historic chic Lafayette square neighborhood it is housed in old wire factory and one can see interestingly placed artifacts spread inside- old chandeliers, radios, motors etc. The food portion is great and the staff is superb. Our server Abbie was attentive & awesome!! They have free yoga, music and patio is dog friendly. They have specials for everyday beside their regular menu. Great selection of beer, cocktails. The spinach in Calamari will melt in your mouth….yummy!!
Great ambiance! Food is good,I'll probably visit again and try their breakfast menu.
If you’re ever in Lafayette square for weekend brunch or dinner I highly recommend this spot. Unique menu that always offers comforting yet creative dishes. I frequent more for brunch but have been here with family in the evening or on a dinner date. Service is good, and if you’re lucky enough they do have live music every so often and the last time the band played 60s-70s ie van Morrison, Neil young, Bob Dylan, etc.
It was our first Saturday brunch here at SqWires. It's a super cute restaurant that has its own small little shop inside. The food was pretty good and our waiter was knowledgeable and patient. Our party of 8 did not like their sausage at all. It seems like its made in house, which is a nice thought, but the taste is off. But the pancakes, eggs, bacon, and French toast were good. They also make their own donuts as well. The kids at our table didn't like those either but the presentation was nice. I'd definitely try this restaurant again and order different dishes.
I was really surprised at how much I enjoyed SqWires. Best breakfast I’ve eaten in St. Louis. The atmosphere on the inside was very nice and someone was playing live piano.
PS, Don’t get carjacked by the thugs in the Peadbodys one block away :) watch your back.

The place will surprise you, lovely people, great food and just a cozy atmosphere to relax and have a good time. Brunch is excellent!
What an amazing spot , my husband and I wanted a good brunch and we got more than we expected ! 10 out of 10, keep up the great work 🩷
Fantastic brunch spot.
The hash skillet is fantastic, and the biscuit was phenomenal. the bagel board was very well done, but the wife didn't want to share more than a single bite! Will definitely be back for the mimosa bar and the silky smooth sounds of the piano/keyboard stylist! Highly recommend this place.
