We enjoyed our time at Drunken Fish very much. Great service, friendly staff and a reasonable cost.
We had chicken fried rice, chicken stir fry and spicy salmon roll, all were tasty and prepared well.
The cold beer sure looked good, but alas not in my eating habits at this time.

Decent priced menus. Good food. I’d say best in this little plaza area. I strongly see me, and friends returning next time we are in town. Wasn’t terribly busy, more so when we left. And we got there 5:30?? Ish. Done bit before 7.

Thank you George for turning my birthday lunch into a beautiful memory. I enjoyed this celebration immensely. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Your patience with our finicky eater and your awesome meal and drink suggestions were top notch. Shout out to our waiter Darren as well. I visit this location often and this was my best experience yet. You gentlemen were great!
Drunken fish... 🗣️ Hire more Georges. 👍

I took my daughter to dinner and we were seated fairly quickly and our server was nice too. We had the lobster spring roll with the honey wasabi and it was glorious! We also had miso and seaweed salad along with two rolls that were delicious especially the white tiger roll.
For a cocktail I had the lady butterfly which was fruity but not overly sweet.
My only discrepancy was how long it took for our rolls to come out.
Otherwise it was a great experience.

A Westport staple. Today I ordered the lobster spring roll, philly cheese steak roll and the fried philly.
Lobster spring roll was good but very greasy, it spent zero time de greasing and was smaller and honestly more expensive then before. All in all, still tasty! As far as the cheesesteak and fried philly, they were delicious! I know everything cost more now but these rolls that are already expensive, increased in price and got smaller.
The vibe hasn’t changed from dance club background music, but the service is still top notch. For the price I’m hoping the rolls size will increase to the way they use to be. Still a great place to eat when you budget for it!

I had dinner there last night the manager and staff were very friendly. For a Friday night the restaurant was busy. However the food and service was great. I’ll be back! Most definitely a must drop in during my travels going forward❤️

Great little restaurant attached to the same plaza as the Sheraton Hotel in St. Louis, MO.
If you love sushi, you've come to the right place! Their sushi is made to order, so you know it will be fresh!
Well-presented, finely detailed, and outright delicious! Can't give high-enough marks!
Staff is super-friendly and the prices are reasonable. A winner in my book!

My husband and I walked in on a Friday night (1/6/23) and was specially seated by the manager Jaime so we didn’t have to wait. She also served us and was excellent. I loved her recommendations and the food was so tasty. We haven’t been to Drunken Fish in a while and this was a great experience!

We came at an earlier time and got great service and food. We LOVE that they have moved to almost self service (toasttab) to do your order and pay. Hope more restaurants adopt this model as it is so much more efficient.

Nice spot, service was good and food was good overall. Would go back!

Bad experience with their restaurant manager. We were there tonight, 3/8/2015 around 6:45 pm. I didn't expect to make a reservation, was my mistake. We had a party of 8, 4 of them were children under 8 years old. The blonde hair manager told us to wait about 30 minutes since we had a larger group and they have to combine a few tables. We agreed and waited patiently. We walked to see what was going on 30 minutes after the manager said they were still standing at the table talking and chit-chatting. My wife went in to inform the party that we had 4 children that are really hungry and we have waited for one hour already. The manager did nothing to help us get the table, but got really upset about us try to sit down. Manager also said to me to go somewhere else and didn't have to put up with us. This is a very unfriendly and non-customer oriented place. Not a family welcoming place and ran by a bunch of high in pride people that know nothing about hospitality and customer services. If we didn't have the Groupon that expires soon, we would have walked out right away. This would be our last time to go to this type of restaurant and would be our last time to order their Groupon. Good luck and YMMV.

Not great. We had dinner on a Friday night, arrived early, bug still waited to be sat at a dirty table. The food was marginal, lacking freshness and the flavor was not distinctive between the different rolls.

My friends and I had a mixed experience when we tried this place. It was busy the evening we went, but we were seated pretty quickly. Our waitress was friendly and refilled our drinks quickly, but was rather clumsy. She spilled the sauces that came with our appetizers and nearly spilled my dessert on me. The tempura and gyoza were great, really tasty. The sushi is TERRIFIC, really well made. I especially liked their dragon roll. I didn't like the soy sauce they serve, since it just tastes like really salty water rather than real soy sauce. The chicken katsu is nice (our waitress neglected to bring knives even though it's a pretty big chunk of chicken). The fried rice is AWFUL. I wouldn't recommend ordering it. It didn't have much flavor aside from a burnt, smoky taste from whatever they cook it in. The desserts were pretty good. The mochi is nice, and the strawberry cheesecake is really yummy. The fried green tea ice cream didn't really suit my tastes. The fried exterior became soggy quickly and tasted very strange paired with the ice cream. Green tea ice cream is a favorite of mine, but this one had way too much matcha flavor. It was overpowering, almost bitter. Overall, the meal wasn't bad. Next time, I'll just get the sushi and apps, and skip dessert.

First timer. My daughter and I like to try new places to eat. She likes sushi and I've only had it once so I've been reluctant to try Drunken fish. Our waiter Mike Perez was very nice and helpful. He answered all of my questions about the menu items and made a few suggestions. My daughter and I liked every thing we ordered. we had a great time and will be back soon.

Thank You
Drunken Fish and Mike Perez

Use to come much more often however they shortened the happy hour and changed it to Mon -Fri instead of 7 days a week. Always very happy with the food and service.

Good Enough for Fun. This restaurant is not one of the better sushi restaurants I've eaten in. The majority of the rolls are cooked and even the majority of the sashimi is seared, so you will have to hunt a little if you are in search of actual sushi. However, it's a fun, lively place and the food we did order was all good. The restaurant makes the odd choice of only serving low-sodium soy sauce and their wasabi also lacked any kind of real punch.

It was a good meal and their bar selection is quite good too. Our waitress was friendly, the place decor was nice too. A fun meal, but the sushi/sashimi was unremarkable.

Great service. I have not been to the Drunken Fish in a number of years, and it was my wife's first time there. We had a great experience. We made reservations on line and were taken right to our table. The service was great!. Our waiter Chris was busy, but took the time to explain menu items and kept us well taken care of. The food was good I would highly recommend the lobster rolls appetizer. I could have eaten about 10 of those.
JH
Short & sweet. Was told 15 wait due to short sushi chef staffing that evening, waited 25 minutes before anyone said anything snd when they did, the hostess told us to have a seat outside and it'd be 5 minutes tops and they'd have us a table inside.... We waited 45 minutes with nobody saying even hello to us so we left. For all the hype it did not live up to much.

Very good lil place, pleased with the portions and price.

Not pleased. Had high expectations, did not deliver.
Started with an Asian Mary, received drink with chipped martini glass with obvious crack down the side which neither the bartender or server seemed to notice. No apologies, no management concern. The food was not good, except for the sashimi. The drunken tofu was flat tasting, the seaweed salad was way too oily, the rolls were tasteless and dry, the Saba was awful, and even the unagi was flat. Who can mess up unagi? Three of us ate, were all terribly disappointed. Then at 9 they pumped the music so loud you could not hear a thing. They did turn it down a bit after 10 minutes. Our server only seemed attentive when the check was brought. Overall, big thumbs down. Best sushi on town??? P-lease.......

Great food!. A tad bit expensive, but the atmosphere is unique, very eclectic. If you love sushi, you really should try it.

Mmm, cocktails and sushi. The first time I ever visited here, I quickly realized why its called the Drunken Fish. I ordered a nice sized plate of sushi, and between my friends and I, we polished off about half their bar selection. Of course, that polished off most of our pay checks. Not the best of sushi, but the rolls were nicely sized and very flavorful, and the cocktails were worth a little extra. There are plenty of places that are much cheaper, with probably better quality, but I think you're paying more for an experience than for food/drink.
Catherine
Pretty Good. I love sushi, and this place is definitely very good, with good atmosphere. Not the best sushi to get, but I definitely don't mind going there. A bit pricey for the sushi, I know better places that are cheaper but I don't really mind the price.
Peter
A great 1st time.... My wife & I went in on 2/14 and it was great...the hostess was nice, the staff was great and the food was delicious. And of course, I had to have the meal with hot Saki. Our intentions are to return again soon and try other items on the menu...we were really impressed! Well done!
Kathleen Hilmer-Kendall
Longest wait ever!. We waited over 1 hour for our lunch specials today at Drunken Fish. The server, with her attitude, only apologized for the wait after we had to ask for our checks and our food to-go. I must imagine there was no manager there today because this was horrendous customer service and unacceptable. I am taking them off my list of sushi places...
SaraAnn
Love the desserts!. Love the desserts here, especially the cheesecake and strawberry one...and the chocolate cake!!!

I know when its good. This was a great evening for me and my wife. the food was great and they had a late night happy hour that we took advantage of. i will tell all my friends about it!

Flaming Sake!!!. Looking for a good place to go to start (and end) your night out? head to the drunken fish to have FLAMING SAKE BOMBS before you start your party! the bartenders have a fun saying before they pound the bar and make the flaming sake shot drop into a glass of beer! have a few of those and you'll be good to go!

i would recommend this to anyone!

Drunk fish. The Drunken Fish is a great place to hang out with your girlfriends and sip on martinis in style! it's a great atmosphere for eye candy too!

Great Service. I went to Drunken Fish at westport plaza recently, and had great service. All the Staff was nice, and very helpfull. They made my experience very enjoyable, with all my needs being met.

Awesome Sushi!. It can be so disappointing to go to a trendy restaurant and be let down by bad food..that is NEVER the case at Drunken Fish. I have been eating there (and the other locations) for years and am always pleased. The staff is super friendly and takes the time to get to know the regulars. They also help to make sushi more approachable for people intimidated by it. I wouldn't go anywhere else in STL for sushi...and their happy hour is the best hands down!

Alan Johnson. The food and service were wonderful and the staff was very educated on menu items as well as being very attentive to all of my needs which certainly made for a very enjoyable dinning experience. The Sushi was terrific. I was able to enjoy watching the sushi chefs prepare sushi that was wonderful to the pallet and terrific fun to watch be prepared. They are truly masters of their craft. I highly recommend The Drunken Fish Westport for anyone who enjoys excellent sushi.
Toro
Amazing. The Drunken Fish is the best sushi in the Midwest! They have the most extensive sushi menu here in Saint Louis. I really enjoyed it so much. The only bad thing is that they are super busy ALL the time, so the food might take a little while to come out, but when it does, you wont be disappointed...

BTW, their happy hour is awesome! I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT...
Tinydancer23
Highly Dissapointed. I had been to Drunken Fish before and the food was decent and the atmosphere was decent, nothing to rave about but usually enjoyable. This was until I visitied the Laclede location. I was highly dissapointed in the service that my boyfriend and I received and felt very discriminated against. My boyfriend and I have never once cried "racism" but in this case we were sitted all the way in the back by the busy kitched door past multiple empty booths and tables. This wasnt the only thing but the night just became worse and we ended up leaving due to frustration. I have never left a restaraunt before with such a sick and unpleasant feeling. I will never go back.

I like the food but the place is a bit too loud for my taste.
