Hands down the best sub shop and all of St Louis in my opinion. They have a great variety - I like the super spicy Italian subs the most. Really cool atmosphere, great little place that has been here for a very long time.

They have the best salads. I had the Joe Fassi in the small size, and it was the perfect portion for lunch. I can say that the housemade dressing is also to die for. I don't live in the state, but anytime I pass through, I will be stopping to get food here. My coworkers both got different sandwiches, and they both looked great. They were definitely satisfied with their lunch also.

Such a cool place to have a meal. It’s on The Hill, the guy behind the counter has been there 30 years, his grandfather began the business almost 100 years ago. I am so grateful for wandering into this fantastic restaurant today. I will definitely be back. It’s always awesome to have a 100% St Louis meal all the way to the Red Hot Ripletts and Dads Cookies for desert!

It was great! Reminds me of sandwich shops I'd go to when I was a teenager. Pleasant memories. Sausage sandwich was fantastic, did not disappoint. I'll be back.

We absolutely LOVED dining in ay this cute little shop, found it randomly on Google while in the Lou for a doctors app. We had the cold number 1 and hot 17 I think and they were AMAZING, literally not sure if I've ever had a better sandwhich. The workers were nice and seemed like they had been there years and knew everything there was to know.Had a great time and will be back foraure.See ya in three months when her next appointment comes around!

The Joe Fassi company is proud of their family and proud of their business- and it's great to see people take that kind of pride! The meatball sub was excellent and convinced me to buy meatballs to take home! Pasta salad was also delicious.

Been stopping in regularly for SEVERAL years now. Tom (Owner / manager) is a GREAT restaurant owner. Not an overtalker like most Italian owners who are sometimes loud and obnoxious but easy going and helpful to satisfy your cravings forn delicious fresh homemade Italian sandwiches/sandwiches and venu.

Nov 2023: got the turkey sandwich with Asiago and it was quite good. Also got the chili, which wasn't what I expected. The chili was like a strange soup with lots of large onion chunks in it..... not my cup of tea.

I love this place! Fast friendly service and the sandwiches and salad are delish! Today I had Grandma Rosie's rocket and house salad, both fantastic! I picked up some meatballs and salsiccia to bring home. If you're on The Hill, it's worth your time to check them out!

If you havent been to Joe Fassi's, your missing out. Meatball sandwitch was the BEST we have had on the hill. The beef and gravy was good as expected. The Salsiccia with red peppersand onions was once agian the BEST salsiccia on the hill. Thank you guys for sharing.

Excellent food, quick and friendly service, and a fun little place to eat. It's a little small but that's okay, you can consider it cozy I guess. Everything sounded good but I got a meatball sub and it was excellent. Next time I'm back to to The Hill I'll definitely coming back to try other things.

You need to visit and eat at Joe Fassi Sausage & Sandwich Factory on The Hill. This 70-year-old business is a great place for lunch and dinner. Orders are prepared quickly and cheerfully by the staff. I stopped in for lunch (the #12 Sheriff Murphy’s Irish Sling) and also ordered a Meatball Sandwich and Pasta with Italian Sausage to take home. Sandwich meats are sliced to order, and you have a choice of breads – white, garlic cheese or wheat. My sandwich had thinly sliced corned beef with melted pepper and swiss cheese, thin sliced onions, pepperoncini, pickles and yellow mustard. A delight for the mouth. The hot sandwiches arrive at your table toasted and hot. Not microwave heated! They have a cozy seating area and outdoor seating is also available. The walls are filled with photos history showing the history of Joe’s and The Hill. Open every day except for select holidays.

Definitely has a neighborhood sandwich shop kind of feel. I really enjoyed the #1 Joe Fassi combo sandwich but at $11.11 for the sandwich, chips, and a drink I wouldn't call it a bargain. Unfortunately, I think it's par for the sandwich business and I'd rather support the local guys than a faceless Corp. Give them a try! Also, the guy that made my sandwich called me bubbles when he handed me my order! I don't know if it's a term of endearment or an insult to outsiders, either way it made me smile 😁
