We went for our 20th wedding anniversary. We tried the Teeny Tiny Tuna Tartare Tacos, crablouie's, steak tartare, onion soup, roasted duck breast, salmon, pomme frites, creme brulee, abthense and a few other drinks. Every single plate we had was so good, we had to close our eyes in delight. You can sense the pride and love the chefs and bartenders have in the items they prepare. The waiter, the hostess and staff were amazing. I wanted you to all know that you prepared the most magical and amazing dinner we have ever have had the pleasure to enjoy. If you want a place that makes you feel on cloud nine when you dine, you have to experience this establishment! Thank you again!

Exceptional service and food. Oysters are my go-to and Meritage is my Midwest go-to place for them. If it’s slow enough you might be lucky enough to get an education with your oysters from multi-year Master Shucker Bryan, a true oyster guru. This is also a great place to introduce someone to high-end French cuisine or bring a date. You can close your eyes and pick something from the menu knowing it will be outstanding, reasonably priced and that you will share that experience with a server, staff and Chef who truly want your time there to be memorable in a good way.

Went with one of my girlfriends on a "girlfriend date" (which are the best dates ever, BTW) and had an amazing time! We sat at the bar where John took very good care of us! Made great food suggestions too! The drinks were on point, the food was amazing, and the staff was engaging and kind! It was my first time there, and certainly won't be my last!!

Once again, an amazing evening spent with one of St. Paul's best! I will never get enough of the crispy chicken thighs, the crock of potatoes and the hand made macaroons. It is my forever destination for absinthe served in the traditional way with a simply fabulous bar staff that is engaging and welcoming. Killer wine program and of course...the oysters, oh yes, the oysters! Do yourself a favor, get to St Paul and treat yourself to a night at Meritage!

I have been here with different groups only 5 times... so not a lot of "regular" experience. The food has always been some of the best I have had in Minnesota. Amazing... perfect. I love this place for special times... but the last two times I have ran into servers that were not excited or enthused... I hope you guys can fix this. I would like to see some action and excitement. Be proud of your establishment. The previous times I have went... it was an "experience" instead of an order taker style. Love having an experience... which I know you can provide. Thank you again for the amazing food. Always the best!

From the moment we walked through the door our night was outstanding. Every single person working was so warm and making sure all our needs were met. We had reservations for the Duck A La Presse (#178!) Between the food and drinks I left in such a daze I do not remember the name of our waitress or chef but they were both awesome. We took our waitress suggestion on which oysters to order and we loved them. The duck was worth every penny. Thanks for the entertainment, delicious drinks & wonderful food. We can not wait to return.

Wonderful food. I love foie gras and was so happy it was on the menu! We had excellent service ( and fast) too. I would love to go back, and highly recommend.

Great place to eat a wonderful meal and meet the owner chef at the end. The service was 3xcellent too and attention is paid to many details for a great dinner experience.

Hands down my favorite restaurant in the Twin Cities. Always reliably outstanding food, great service and engaging wine list - and I've been there dozens upon dozens of times over the last seven years. Can't miss items include Cassoulet in the winter, any of their duck dishes, and when they have it, frog legs, and lobster Thermidor.

Love Meritage! Went there for the 2nd time last night. Had a delicious red wine that was recommended from our server. We then had the Bloody Mary shooters- I could have had 10 more! Everyone’s entrees were delicious; I had the mussels which were so good.. the broth they are soaked in is amazing! We split profiteroles & creme brûlée for dessert to end a perfect meal- thank you!

This was my first experience at Meritage and I wonder where I have been, I was so impressed from the moment I walked in. Had a superb Roy Roy at the bar since I arrived early and could not help looking around at the decor and ambiance, had a feeling that it was going to be great. Not disappointed. Had the prix fixe Greek menu with wine pairings. Fabulous! The wine manager stopped by to explain the wines and how they went with the food, loved that! The server was so on top of everything as if he could read your mind. I wil be back - often. This is a gem!! And did I say the food was incredible!!

I work as a cook in a fancy place. And this is my favorite place to eat for special occasions. Service is always at its peak, even in days like Valentine’s Day. And the food speaks for itself, beautifully plated and absolutely delicious.

Beautiful atmosphere, wonderful staff. The Braised Pork Cheeks and Crispy All Natural Half Chicken were amazing! Started with the French Onion Soup which was delucious. Ended with a black coffee with Bailey's, also so delicious! And of course the sparkling wine was amazing! KUDOS!
