Take it from someone who doesn’t care much for seafood or boiled food. I like my food grilled, fried, sautéed and sometimes baked is fine. But I like dining out and restaurant adventures. So, I thought to check out Grand Catch! First thing first, the place looked nice from outside, and as we stepped in it was even nicer inside. Just a touch on the darker side for ambience, but the moderate noise level along with the upbeat music keeps the energy going. The service was just the right combination of professional and friendly. The hostess was great, the server was awesome, and one of the owners (Saed Wadi) came to our table; now he’s something else; in moments you will realize that he is naturally a people’s person. He took care of us as if we were guests at his house. The place was full, but the staff was so confident and adept that my party and I felt like we were their only guests. This was during their first week of opening. My concern about the food turned into a confusion after I tried a bite of everything we ordered. I was confused cause I wanted to eat everything simultaneously, this is how incredibly delicious every item was! The chicken wings were amazing (especially with its dressing). The muscles and shrimps were absolutely the best they can be because the sauce they come in or with makes a whole world of difference. Portions were large and I’m glad I was super hungry...we ate EVERYTHING. Interestingly, we didn’t feel overly full and can’t move. Maybe the absence of rice, pasta..etc is the reason for this goodness. I wanted to go there the next day. Note: don’t take their toast for granted...I never had toast like this before. Grand Catch, thank you for a wonderful evening See you again and again

We celebrated a birthday dinner here and were beyond satisfied! We really appreciated the laid-back-yet-special atmosphere that allowed us to celebrate a special occasion comfortably, yet without sacrificing quality or "wow" factor! Come one, come all - we brought our decently well-behaved 2-year-old and that was totally appropriate too! As far as starters go, we loved the fried shrimp; light, but flavorful batter and a surprisingly delicious dipping sauce that had a playful kick. Our party of three adults opted for 3lbs of boil in medium awesome sauce, medium heat, and we kinda wanted to bathe in the sauce after dinner! It was that good. It made even the corn drip in gooey, garlicky wonder. And I really didn't think I'd be commenting about the softness of the boiled potatoes, but damn! We were pleased, surprised and surpassed by everything we tried. Definitely coming back to try more of the menu! Grand Catch adds perfectly to the Mac-Groveland Neighborhood without taking away from it. It's just the kind of excitement and seafood the Twin Cities needs!

Food was amazing! Crab boil with awesome sauce, fried shrimp and cajun fries. Everything was so incredibly flavorful, and the drinks were some of the best I have ever had! Definitely recommend “Don’t pet the dog?” And “Naked horseback ride”. The Milk Jam and raspberry lychee twist soft serve was an amazing end to our meal. Service was great and always on top of our needs. Will recommend to everyone and will be back again soon!

Holy moly this place is good! I got their Seafood Boil with clams and medium-level Awesome Sauce. And once again, ho-ly mo-ly! That Awesome Sauce lives up to its name! It is seriously delicious! I wished I had toast to mop up the extra sauce at the end, because lifting my bowl and drinking it like the milk leftover after a bowl a cereal would probably have been frowned upon. I seriously consider forgoing all proper decorum and drinking that garlicky, spicy goodness. It was sooooo incredible. I did scoop up little bits of sauce in empty clam shells. That seemed more acceptable and less “uncouth”. 😜 I loved everything about this place. The atmosphere, the decor, the food, the drinks (I had the “Crazy Legs” 🌺😍), and the staff was friendly and patient while we all had the hardest time picking because everything sounded SO GOOD! If you get a chance to go to Grand Catch, you should. It’s all around A+!

Finally the twin cities has southern style seafood boils actually worth writing about. Great flavors and prices with actual hot spices, none of that Midwest “spicy”. Crawfish in awesome sauce, enough said.

Best seafood boil I’ve had in MN. King crab was amazing. Heat levels run hot, so ease yourself into it your first visit. Chicken sandwich is fantastic too. Scene is casual and fun and for those with tastebuds, food is craveworthy...

Yuuuummmmm! First time and I loved it. We had a boil with awesome sauce and it was indeed awesome. Cocktails were also delicious! I had the Grand Old Fashion, Mez-call Me Saul (my fave of the three) and Boyfriends & Girlfriends. Next time I’d definitely add rice to dump in to the sauce at the end and eat. I’d skip the Jonah crab claws. They are frustrating to eat and not worth it. I’d also eat at the bar instead of a table.

Fun spot with fresh seafood, inventive cocktails, and a pretty creative, worldly menu. Lots of different flavors to explore here, including their take on Old Bay, the New Bae! Service was very prompt and attentive. Unfortunately I think the desire to stretch into new flavor territory wasn't always successful. The papaya and mango salad was spicy and unexpected, and very flavorful, and the grits were excellent. The fish and chips were very fresh, although the chips were oddly sliced red potatoes. Where things fell down for me was the lobster roll, which I take as the gold standard of a seafood joint. The salad in the roll was very heavy on the mayo, and had a strong flavor of what seemed like pickle relish, which completely overpowered the flavor of the lobster. Maybe I'm too much of a purist, but this sandwich missed the mark for me. Will be back to try out the seafood boil, though!

We had an outstanding dinner with great food and delicious plates. To start, we had the cheesy fries. The fries were divine and super crispy. As main dishes, we had P.E.I. mussels with the mild awesome sauce and the Po’ Bahn Mi sandwich. Be aware that the flavorful of the tasty cheesy fries may overwhelm the delicate taste of the mussels sauce. Next time I go, I will consider choosing one or the other. The Po’ Bahn Mi sandwich had plenty of shrimp with a delicious sauce. It was spicy, crunchy, and savory. In a word, spectacular! In addition, the server, Paul, was amiably explaining the different menu options flavorfully. You need to park on the street, so come prepared to walk.

I placed an online order for 1 lb of Alaskan king crab, 1 lb of jumbo shrimp, 1 lb of mussels, and 2 lobster tails. I got the awesome sauce and got an extra sauce on the side (for dipping). Didn't wait long (pretty steady evening I'm assuming). Everything was there. It was beautiful when I uncovered the tray of goodies. Nice and hot (temperature). The spice level was hot. I nearly choked on that spice but it was savory and yummy! I love this sauce because it had good chunks of garlic (I'm a garlic lover). The lobster tail was jumbo size. Loads of meat in the Alaskan king crab. Easy peel jumbo shrimp. Definitely felt that Louisiana sauce kicking. Overall, it was worth my money lol loved everything! Will be coming back!

Service was friendly and thorough! My family & I felt comfortable there. Has outdoor seatings in the front of restaurant on sidewalk areas which we preferred. Parking is off street. Cajun food was delicious 😋! Definitely be back. Overall atmosphere of dinning outdoor & feeling the Grand Ave vibe was nice.

Amazing food. The lobster roll is fantastic. What's probably more fantastic, which is an amazing feat, is the stupendous lobster Mac and cheese with the caramelized paprika butter. Everyone at the table from 4 to 73 years old loved it. Service was great. Atmosphere was great. Not too loud there so you can talk to your party without yelling, practicing lip reading or wishing you knew sign language.
