From the moment I was greeted and all the way through dinner everyone was extremely friendly and very polite and professional and well trained. As a restaurant manager/sommelier I found this to be a pleasure. My server Landon was one of the best I've had anywhere. The was amazing. I started with a bowl of tomato bisque and then the herb crusted lamb with a glass of Peter Lehman Shiraz. It was all perfect. I will definitely recommend and return and ask for Landon.
I had guests in from San Antonio and we had dinner at Georgia Sea Grill. Spot on!! Homerun!! Completely delicious!! Comments from our table included "This tastes better than any food I've eaten, anywhere, in the last 5 years" and "How can every bite be so perfect?" We loved everything. Great job Chef Tim Lensch, our server Mackenzie and owner Zack Gowen!!! We are so fortunate to have this jewel of a restaurant in the Golden Isles.
What absolutely amazing food the Georgia Sea Grill makes! Everything I have tried here is delicious and the atmosphere is one of the best around. I had my rehearsal dinner here in April 2018 and couldn’t be happier with my choice to do so. Tanera did the BEST job coordinating. We dropped by to eat at the restaurant a few months in advance and she sat down with us and talked about pricing and menu choices. She was also extremely responsive over email and phone as well. Our family is still talking about the wonderful rehearsal dinner meal they had here. Regardless of whether you’re looking to host a special event in their private room or just stop in for a date night, this place is the best!
Great food, excellent service! Mother’s Day treat for me and I couldn’t have been more pleased. We will make this a regular place to dine when we are on St. Simons Island. Try the wasabi crusted tuna appetizer to get your meal started. From there on, it’s all great.
I can’t even begin to explain the experience you will have in this fabulous place! The food is beyond amazing...the wine is perfect, the service is top notch. You literally cannot go wrong with Georgia Sea Grill.

I had the pimento cheese app,Salmon with greens and corn risotto for dinner, my better half had the pork tenderloin and the creme brûlée for dessert. This was probably the best meal I have ever had. I will definitely suggest this for my birthday! Amazing Job!

A must go when visiting St Simon Island. Our server Landon was a charm and sitting by the piano enhanced our dinner ambiance as we celebrated my daughter’s 30th Birthday. Fantastic food. Salmon was cooked to perfection! Fantastic from appetizers to desserts.
The best scallops, bison & crab stew. Unbelievable fresh fish choices and great cocktails. Chef Tim sources locally with a passion for the best ingredients and it shows.
The service was fast and friendly. The food was exellent. I had the pecan encrusted porkloin with fried okra and my friend had the seared scallops. Recommend this place!
My husband and I have been here three times now - on each of our last trips to the Golden Isles. The food is delicious and elegantly presented and the service is fabulous! We shared the fried pimento cheese balls with Tabasco syrup - OMG I’d be happy to just eat those the rest of my life! I then had the crab soup. Heavenly! The crab maison and a side order of grits with Gouda cheese - fantastic. My husband had the scallops with white rice peas and collard greens - melts in your mouth YUMMY.
We’re headed back home after spring break in Brunswick/Golden Isles and just popped a few of the leftovers in our mouths, including the rolls with bourbon pecan butter.
Landon is an Ab Fab waitress. So nice, helpful and knowledgeable. We will be back and it won’t be too soon.

Went on the spur of the moment on a busy holiday weekend with no reservation (Friday night, no reservations?!? Yikes) and understandably were told there were no tables..., went with bar seating, which wasn’t too bad, except that the seats were elevated stools-my fault, no real complaint except that I was a bit uncomfortable. The menu was excellent in variety and preparation styles, and we (party of four) tried several different appetizers, including the oysters. While they were indeed VERY tasty, super fresh (and beautifully presented) I wanted larger, local variety....only one type served....and at 16 per half
Dozen, I was discouraged from having too many! She-crab soup was another stand out, couldn’t have done it better myself (and I DO make a good one!) then the entree showed with just as much beauty and flavor as the rest of our experience.....this is all good news..,, so why a mere 3.5 stars? My biggest complaint is that we were early in the rush, and stayed long enough to see it surge and taper off.... with many open tables throughout. I’ve worked in high end dining (in college, a century ago..) and while I know all about not over stretching staff so that other tables suffer too, this was not the case. We are low pressure, and would’ve been accommodating if our server allowed a lower priority for us as Walk Ins.... instead, our half prepared bartender/server REALLY made us low priority, and we waited on drinks-some that never came- and while her intentions were good her command of the menu and preparations was abysmal. Thankfully our female counterparts got a couple of tequilas in them before the waits started to add up and they were entertainment enough. I had grouper pan seared and it was excellent if not a bit dry..,, nothing to cry about but if I’d been informed better I might have chosen the “bronzed” as my friend had his fish that way and it appeared a bit juicier. I only mention these subtleties because each of our fish dishes were almost 30 dollars....in fact, all told, for four of us, the total with tip was 270.00.... more booze than usual, more apps than usual, and more dessert than usual.... but still.... better plan better next time! Sorry no pictures.... it really was perfectly presented... but it was quite dark and we were squished to the side of the entryway.....I just wanted to eat and move on...
Best meal I have ever had - seriously! Please keep this place a secret so we can all enjoy the best food on the island and not be subjected to a long wait.

Went there with a group of 9. Ambiance, service and food was outstanding. After a few disappointing experiences on SSI, Georgia Sea Grill was the redeeming experience! Will be back.
Elegant and Tasty. We saved this for our last night in SSI and were not disappointed. The decor is more elegant than most places on the island and the food was of a quality to match. Parmesan crusted grouper was excellent as we're the sea scallops and shrimp barbieri. Service was also top notch.
Great Food!. The decor is a bit old fashioned, which has its own appeal, but may turn some people off, but the food is top-notch. Fool of flavor and well prepared- staff was super nice. We went twice in two days for dinner while visiting. The horseradish grouper was a real treat.

Amazing atmosphere and food! We has our rehearsal dinner at Ga. Sea Grill in 2008, and go back several times a year while in town. The Oven baked salmon is mouth-watering, and anything with grouper you cannot go wrong! You must try this gem! I would say it is the best food in Glynn County!
Birthday dinner. We went to dinner for my husband's birthday and had some amazing food.We started with the calamari appetizer and it was awesome. They use the calamari steak and not the rings and tentacles and the sauce is the perfect compliment.My husband had his heart set on scallops and they did not disappont him. He got them as a combination with a filet and said it was perfect. I had the fresh grouper prepared picatta style. It melted in my mouth. Our children each had the child's crabcake and cleaned their plates. The perfect finish was the coconut silk pie, it was to die for. If you come to St. Simons then you should definitely eat here.
Best on SSI. Jeff does an outstanding job at the GSG. The food is to die for. The corn battered shrimp is the best. Everything is fresh.
Excellent Restaurant. We have enjoyed the Georgia Sea Grill for many years and recommend it. However, this is one of the busiest restaurants during the season and early reservations are essential. Also, state your table preference, some tables are better than others. A nice place.

First, our server *R.J.* was stellar. He was especially personable, thorough with his menu explanations, and impressively efficient. If management reads this, he needs a raise!
All of our food-small plates, entrees, and desserts-were VERY good! There were no disappointments. Execution of each dish was on point!
The atmosphere is elevated casual. There is nothing pretentious. One immediately feels at ease but simultaneously senses that an upscale dining experience awaits.
We will be back when visiting the area in the future. Highly recommended!
Excellent all around. The crab soup has wonderful complex flavor- curry and sweetness. Portion sizes are perfect, we were able to share everything among three people. Thankful for the live piano!
If you are looking for a fine dining experience on St. Simons Island, you must eat seafood at the Georgia Sea Grill. This restaurant does not look fancy from the outside, but when you go inside, it is very classy. All of the ingredients are so fresh. My beautiful date and I started off with the crab soup. It was so delicious. For dinner, I had the fresh catch of the day on top of rice and vegetables. The presentation of the food on the plate is so well done. We split a Georgia Pecan Pie for dessert, and it was outstanding. The Georgia Sea Grill is a remarkable dining experience. I love everything about this restaurant.
High end, high quality seafood dining experience in st. Simon. Recommend getting reservations as this location is high in demand for good reason... The food is phenomenal. The raw oysters came with a jalapeño champagne mignonette to die for, the crab stuffed hush puppies were some of the best I have ever had.... Then reach the dinner portion. My husband loved the short ribs that were melt in your mouth and almost cut with just a fork alone, I ordered the cobia Cajun style and love the ability to choose the main catch and then pair it with the seasoning of your choice. Highly highly recommend, great for a date night. Collared shirt for me and casual dressy for women. Thank you to the Zach the proprietor for working us in on a reservation!! Delightful.... Will be back
My favorite restaurant on the island! If you sit in the bar, there is live piano music most days of the week. All the food is incredible! We split a bunch of appetizers and I got the beef carpaccio & bacon poached salmon. Amazing meal! Definitely recommend checking this place out.

WHAT A HIDDEN GEM!!! My husband and I were walking to the Tasty Freeze on St. Simons, when we came across Georgia Sea Grill. We hadn't even noticed it and we're from this area.
Great place to lounge for Happy Hour! Good deals. Great food. Excellent service. I'm not a fan of hushpuppies, having been spoiled by my grandmother. But the Crab Hushpuppies are so delicious! We had Wasabi Tuna, Fried Oysters with Pork Belly. Our drinks were a glass of Happy Hour wine, a Special Old Fashioned (with apricots and cherries), and a Mexican Coffee. Desserts were Pecan Pie and Buttermilk Pie.
I have been thoroughly impressed with this restaurant. My vow is to come here every time I visit my hometown. This place should be on every travel show!

Reservation? While a reservation is desired, we were seated at the second bar (on the left) very quickly. The restaurant was pretty full.
Price? It was Happy Hour, so they had some great deals $3 glass of wine, discounted appetizers/small plates.
Service? Superb service. They went above and beyond. Great recommendations. They even tracked down the cherries they used in their special old fashioned.
Absolutely the best food on the island. A lovely, upscale restaurant that will impress. The staff is on point, especially Alex behind the bar. The seafood is done to perfection. This is not your “fried shrimp” seafood place on the island. This is your high end, gourmet seafood place on the island. Everything on the menu is delicious and the atmosphere is tops.
Short Ribs were very tender and delicious. I just wish it had a gravy with it. Definitely a good place to eat. We will come again when we are back in town.
We took my son for a family farewell meal - he’s leaving for Air Force boot camp - and everything was SUPERB! The service was exemplary- the food was delicious. We had calamari to start and ordered more for the table it was amazing! I had crab soup that was just spectacular - savored every bite. My son had the best cut of filet he’s ever had and he wanted more!! We had a sampler of the desserts and the chocolate cheesecake was perfect. We had such a lovely meal and the atmosphere was so chill!! This is a special place!!!
AMAZING food, If you visit St. Simon's Island, you must make a reservation here. We did good by eating here last night in town, as otherwise we would be disappointed comparing this with other (also good) food we ate elsewhere.
The space looks small from the outside, but it accommodates a lot of people in two dining rooms, one with the piano and one without.
