We had dinner here after our wedding with two of our best friends. We had a warm welcome when we walked in seated us promptly with the reservation. when I made reservations I asked if I could bring my wedding cake and very cheerful. He said yes you may and you may bring whatever you need. Most restaurants would not accommodate you this way after the restaurant closed the bar in the next room opened and stayed open until late with a live band. Full bar, outdoor fireplace, open air under huge live oak trees with draping Spanish moss. So much fun I would visit again the next time we are in St., Simons, Island.

This place is so fabulous! The ribeye was cooked perfectly and delicious. My husband’s grilled salmon was the best that he’s had in a long time. Service was excellent and attentive. Mr. Chip not only serenaded us, but he took a few minutes to chat with us. Highly recommend!!!

I really like the atmosphere. Others may not. Our server was excellent and happily got us everything we needed. Crab legs were okay, not great. The onion rings were very bland, but the rest of our food was excellent. I would definitely go back. I'm glad they have not "updated" this great place and continue to honor the past. The old-timey feel is what draws me to Bennie's Red Barn. Excellent portion sizes, by the way! 8 out of 10 or 4 out of 5 for me.

Great service. I had the filet and it was fantastic. Rustic atmospheric, which I like. Service was prompt and friendly. If you want fancy, keep driving. Personally, I’ll be back.

Overall, a good place to eat. I thought it was strange I could not get grilled shrimp with my surf and turf. Fried and boiled were the only options. Steak was very tender but needed some extra seasoning.

Just so yummy every time I’ve dined there and I dine there often! The scallops, filet, and ribeyes are always delicious and prepared as ordered. Service is super friendly!

without question, the best steak in Glynn County. The atmosphere is still classic Bennie's. Their trademark salad is still hard to beat. Although they accept walk-ins it wouldn't hurt to call for a reservation. Ask the head hostess Suzanne to take good care of you and she will. Lastly, one would be quite remiss if they did not ask For Johnny as their server.

Another fantastic meal at Bennies. Every time we are here we make sure to have a meal here. The steaks were perfection, the baked potatoes and mushrooms were yummy. Oh, and let’s not forget that little uneventful salad that I would miss having a bite or two if it wasn’t there. We look forward to this meal. They knock it out of the park every time. Thanks for being here

Neat place that’s a local landmark. As the name implies, you’re eating in a barn with a concrete floor but it has great character. Service was excellent. T-bone was huge and cooked perfectly. Seafood combo was delicious. Save room for the ‘Raccoon’ for dessert, everyone should have an adult milkshake to finish off the meal.

This restaurant is well known in Georgia. My husband and I went there on one of first dates the food was excellent then and 50 years plus later it still is. You have always put your customers first and still do. My first born and his wife took me there for my 82 birthday SATURDAY night and it brought back so many memories.

My wife and I recently went to Bennie’s Red Barn for dinner. We did not make reservations but luckily the hostess was able to find a table for us. It was suggested though that reservations on Friday’s and Saturday’s be made. We love the old rustic style decor and setting inside of this restaurant. Our waiter was quick, and attentive. We had a calamari appetizer, my wife had a ribeye with mashed potato’s and I had the cowboy cut ribeye with baked potato and black eyed peas. All the food was great. My steak was cooked slightly under what I asked for, but not enough to even mention it. It had a great flavor, as did my wife’s. It was not the best steak I’ve ever eaten but it was still a great steak and I would order it again. The food was all flavorful unlike a lot of these reviews that say the food was bland. The salad was swimming in dressing as other reviews say, however the website states that the salad is meant to be wilted which to me, implies it will have a lot of dressing on it. We liked it. We will be back to this establishment.

I enjoyed it. I have been visiting St Simons Is for years and now live here and had never eaten at this landmark. The food was quite good. The service was efficient and curtious, and I loved eating in a big red barn. It kind of made me hungry as a horse. Fun environment. I'll go back. Chocolate pecan pie was quite nice.

My husband had the ribeye. He said that it was the best steak he ever had. I had the salmon...it was very good but was a little raw on the inside. Baked potato and salad were very good. Great atmosphere. It was highly recommended and didn't disappoint.

We have been to Bennie’s for many, many years. When we first started going here it was a place for special occasions, now that we live here year round we continue our tradition. The menu is always excellent fried chicken, steaks, seafood equally good! Enjoy.
