It's my favorite place to get ice cream! They make their own and have lots of delicious concoctions to choose from, especially seasonal ones like the Apple Pie Sundae. YUM! Nice family-friendly location tucked off from the main road with grassy picnic area to sit and enjoy your ice cream.

The shop has many flavors of ice cream. Cash only. No restroom. Select flavors are gluten-free. Upon request, the ice cream specialists may open a new tub to avoid cross-contamination. Salem Land Trust trails are listed on a side board.

This is the best ice cream I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot of ice cream from a lot of different places. You can’t go wrong with any of the flavors but I get the chocolate milkshake every time because it’s that good. The only bad thing I can say about the place is the parking. There’s plenty of space to park in the lot but there’s no lines for the parking spots so people park in the way of the entrances to the lot. The long lines will also extend into the lot instead of wrapping around to let cars through but the headache from the parking lot is always worth it. IMPORTANT: This is a cash-only establishment. Bring cash or use the ATM they have on site.

I have lived about 2 minutes from Salem Valley Farms my whole life and the ice cream is always great. The staff is friendly, and efficient, especially considering how small of a place it is and how much traffic they get. The only downside is waiting in line, but it's expected and always worth it. You always get exactly what you asked for, the serving sizes are great, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting- exactly what you'd expect from a small town like Salem. They have a large selection of ice cream flavors and toppings, cones and cups, and a few other options such as dairy free ice cream and sorbet. There is even a sign you can scan on your phone for allergy information. There are several picnic tables on the lawn and an ATM- it should be noted that they only accept cash. Family friendly- great for children and even dogs! If you're in the area I highly recommend stopping by for a sweet treat.

So fortunate to live near this place with it’s amazing ice cream flavors. I go there at least 6 times a season with friends and family. Never a disappointment and the ice cream is always fresh, smooth, and creamy with no ice chunks. This year the experiment with some new flavors and absolutely loved the chocolate lava. Chocolate ice cream with chunks of chocolate and a raspberry swirl. Pictured is the espresso crunch.

We went around 3:30PM on Labor Day. Bad move. The place was packed. No where to park. There were probably 30 ppl waiting in line. We decided not to wait as it would have been well over an hour. We had visited the Ice Cream shop a few years ago and we happened to be in the area. The ice cream was very good and obviously customers enjoy it or the lines wouldn’t have been so long. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a nice sundae or a cone!

I love going there. This place has the best ice cream. I always get a medium cup of with two scoops, one of each flavor. I tend to get mint chocolate chip with black raspberry which comes out to 6$ Highly recommend, especially if you're coming from a long hike at Devil's Hopyard cuz then it just hits the spot 10/10 Will be going again!

Excellent hand made ice cream! Worth the trip for the flavor and varieties. The service was friendly and the line moved along at a good pace. The prices are on the higher side, but for what your getting it’s worth the treat. It’s nice to support a local business. They source the dairy from local farmers so even that is supporting local.

Absolutely amazing ice cream plus friendly staff. Usually have dairy free options that are delicious but seem to run out quickly. It's okay their dairy ice cream is worth a tummy ache

They have very delicious ice cream and so many flavors! My daughter has celiac disease and they even had gluten free cones and we're happy to help when I asked for a clean ice cream scoop. It was a hot day but we enjoyed our visit!

Ice cream is awesome, they have some original flavors I like, they make peppermint stick ice cream year round (my dad's favorite so ba plus!) You can walk over to the Salem Red House local artists shop right through a date next door. Cash only and expect to wait in line because it's popular.
