The best pizza I've ever had, hands down!! The cheese...oh the cheese, it just melts in your mouth. Don't even get me started on the crust! We come every time we are in town. Thank you Scheme, for the the amazing pizza and perfect dining experience, especially the music and super friendly staff and owners. ❤️
The best pizza ever !!!!!!!!!,,and the hand mixed drinks can't be believed .i highly recommend the buffalo pizza.....I've been going to the scheme for years...some people bitch about the price but I don't mind paying for great food,,,,,,and the music is a nice mix a little something for everyone!!!!!!!!!
Truly an excellent dining experience. They use quality ingredients and the pizza is baked with quality ingredients and TLC by the owners themselves. This is not a typical fast food pizza. I always make it a point to eat here anytime I go to Salina.
Tonight was my first time to ever go to this place & the device was excellent, the staff were very courteous & polite & the food was outstanding. The music did get a little loud at the end but we were leaving so obviously it didn't bother me. I'd definitely go back.
I would say my second home...but I think it's actually more likely my first!! Best crew anywhere. Great food, great regulars. Get the popcorn while you wait for your pizza...kick back order a drink and take it all it in.
Stopped in Salina on the way home to Garden City from Manhattan tonight to eat my favorite pizza. Love, love, love The Scheme. It's a fun little eclectic joint with the best pizza ever!!! No stop in Salina is complete without Scheme pizza.
Dude, this place is a disco-diamond in the rough. I live in KCMO, but I have family in Salina, and I always make sure to visit relatives on a Friday or Saturday so I can get my crazy $30 pizza from The Scheme.
I have cravings for this pizza throughout the year, and while there are tons of pizza joints in KCMO, I would drive 2-3 hours to Salina just for this pizza. The place is kitschy and weird, but that's why I love it. Staff rocks, too...they just don't tolerate bullsh*t, so know who you're dealing with and go with their flow...that's what I do ;D
My family has been going to The Scheme to get the absolute best pizza you can imagine for decades now. Ever since I was a small child, this has been one of my favorite places in the world. Whenever I go there, all I see are smiling faces on people having a good time with friends and family. The atmosphere is great, the service is prompt and friendly, and the pizza is outstanding.
I'm so glad I got to celebrate my birthday with my family at The Scheme!

I love this pizza place. We were regulars when we lived in the area. We moved a couple hours away three years ago, and this is the top thing I miss about living there. Super cheesy, super awesome pizza. You really can't go wrong here-just make sure you check days and hours they're open before planning a trip.

Thanks Scheme pizza!! We absolutely loved the copious amounts of toppings and the "honey groove" is the BEST way to enjoy a little dessert interspersed in your meal. We had a great family reunion dinner with y'all. (Thanks again, folks from TX, NH, and Boston!!) Next time we are in Salina, we will def be in!
Order your pizza just like you want it. Crazy big selection of fresh toppings and cheese. Cool oldish bar setting. Friendly wait staff and ownership. Wine by the glass or bottle.
Show up for lunch as it can get pretty busy at nights. Limit topping or you can get sticker shock when your bill comes.

The Scheme is not just a food place, it's a destination. First thing you need to know is that they do not take credit or debit cards. And they seem rather proud of that fact. So, bring some cash. When we found out they just took cash, we moseyed down to the local ATM and were cheered by the locals on returning. Now that we have that out of the way let's begin. When you walk in you will find the decor somewhat western with North West territory signage, large paintings, and mounted animal heads. We appreciated the yellow roses that were table pieces on most of the tables. It gave a friendly and welcoming feeling. You have to ask for the story behind them. Most of the paintings have something hidden in them and the owner has displayed letters from his great grandparents. They knew president Lincoln, Buffalo Bill, and the Virginian. You will not regret asking for details. Now, The Scheme claims to have the best pizza in the Universe. So, we had to put that to the test. The server brought us honey to put on the crust after we ate the rest of the piece of pizza. The leftover crust was referred to as the "dessert piece." We thought it was like school pizza with a lot of awesome cheese on it. Not quite the best we've had, but tasty nonetheless. The food was good and the drinks were mixed well, but the experience of the place was the highlight of our visit to Kansas.
The most unique and original place to eat in Kansas! It’s cash only and on Fridays and Saturdays you’d better have a reservation!! The pizza is as good as ever but if you want a lil’ libation with your pie- the Long Island Iced Tea at The Scheme is the best you’ll find anywhere! My favorite pizza is Canadian Bacon (shredded in lil’ tasty strips!) and Black Olive! OR try the Buffalo (yes, BUFFALO!) with Mushrooms…mmmmmm… Don’t miss this place!
By far the best pizza place in Salina. Overall the Scheme Pizza is never a bad choice. There are always plenty of good company around to dine with & also since its not open everyday, plus high demand you better have a reservation on Friday and Saturday night! I don't eat as much here as I should since I am a local but every time I've ate at the Scheme Pizza since I was a little kid the experience has always been superb. It is a little more expensive, especially if you have a lot of people but with the service, quality, and overall atmosphere you will receive makes up for it because nobody wants to have a bad time when you eat pizza. LOL
P.S. this place offers great drinks as well, and when you're done with your pizza and wonder why there is a honey bear on your table it makes since to keep tradition going of eating your pizza crust with honey. Have a great time and God bless
Best pizza sauce and crust ever. Sauce and toppings are top shelf. I have yet to find a better pizza place than the Scheme in Salina.
Always AMAZING!! The atmosphere & staff are just Great!!! And the food....so fresh & like nothing you have ever had.
Side note- Always make a reservation!! And call early if you are taking it to go!!!!
