Red Iguana - Salt Lake City - Photo album

Fist time to this place and I loved it. The service was great. I recommend to get a taste sampler of the different moles. The mole was good flavor and had shredded chicken. I have not tried other dishes but I definitely give a 5 /5 for the mole experience. Lunch time was buzzing not overflowing. The
Loved this restaurant. The food was awesome and our waiter was fantastic. The outside doesn't look like much, but when you get inside the restaurant, it is colorful and really cute. Everyone is so friendly. The restaurant was packed as the night went on. My hubby ordered a shrimp dish. OMG, it was
Came to Salt Lake City, Utah to check out a car for my wife and I and we bought it. So to celebrate we went to the Red Iguana by recommendtion the food was fabulous and the drinks. Great service , for a little hole in the wall the place was packed. And people kept on coming in . We loved the plac
An awesome Mexican restaurant with amazing flavors. I’d highly encourage to make a reservation. We got 1. Encurtidos (5/5) one of the best dishes I have had so far. The jalapeños had perfect spiciness and the flavor was amazing. The cheese was icing on the cake. Would highly recommend this dish. 2.
Very good! I see why all the hype. The tortilla chips aren’t greasy and the salsa has a nice kick to it. I ordered the 7 mole sampler so I could taste each one, wow…amazing to taste each and the differences. I forgot all the names, but my favorite was the darkest one with chocolate undertones. I ord
This place has a very well deserved positive reputation! Stopped in while in town for dinner and had an amazing time. Service was wonderful, their margaritas are amazing, and of course the food was incredible and plentiful. Really excellent, will definitely be back the next time I'm in town!
Yum! Holy smokes we came in for lunch and it was so delicious 😋 .. plentiful portions and was so stoked that we could make reservations for lunch. Service was great and there was tons of seating. Food was incredible. So many mole versions to try. Tacos were great. Definitely something for everyone
The red iguana is indubitably the most incredible restaurant i have ever had the pleasure of entering. The service is charismatic and loveable. Our server, the man in the green shirt, was AMAZING. He was rapidly refilling our water and attending to our needs. The food exponentially adds to the exper
In the six years I’ve lived in Utah I have heard that Red Iguana has the best Latin/Mexican food in the state. I cannot believe I didn’t try this place sooner. EVERY PART of our experience was absolutely top tier. The homemade salsa and chips were divine, to the point that when we were about to leav
Food and service was Great. Fish Tacos were cooked well, but were missing that extra bit of seasoning to be truly rememberable. Good spot to go in as a group.
This place was on just about every “must do in SLC” blog I read, so I felt I had to try it, and a lot of times those places don’t live up to the hype. This exceeded it! Not one thing we had was not amazing. We ordered the stuffed shrimp jalapeño appetizer, the red iguana sampler & the las gringas, a
One of the most authentic Mexican places I've been to. I'm a sucker for a good mole so I might be biased. They let me try their eight different moles and I couldn't make up my mind.
I have been meaning to try the Red Iguana for several years now and I finally made my first visit today. It definitely lived up to all to all of the positive reviews I've seen. The first thing that stood out was the great service. We were immediately met with friendly smiles, taken to a table, and w
Highly recommended - great experience - starts with the addictive salsa and continues with the entrees and their amazing mole sauces.
First night in town. I picked Red Iguana because of the reviews and having been on DDD. I arrived slight before 5 and was able to get a table without a reservation or wait. It’s a big menu and I asked my waiter what he recommended: puntas de filete a la norteñas with flour tortillas. Let’s do
The Red Iguana is bright and festive, the servers attentive and kind. The food is homemade and tasty. Chile Riano is especially good! The mole is rich with a wide variety of mole dishes.
Still my favorite Mexican resteraunt in SLC. Attention to detail and the sophisticated moles set it apart. Ask for the free sampler plate so you can taste them whether you order one or not. (We did). Red Iguana is more Mexican than Mexican-American. The chips are dangerous; thin and crispy. with a
