Their soups are always the bomb! Nachos are delightful as well. Pizza is good, too. You really can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. Place is way up east at the mouth of Big Cottonwood canyon so it attracts a lot of skiers. Tends to get really busy, so go at an off hour if you can. Large selection of beers and a full bar to order from as well.
This place is a Utah staple located at the bottom of Big Cottonwood Canyon, so it’s the perfect place to grab a bite and drink after skiing. The interior bears resemblance to a cozy winter cabin. But the menu has a variety of options ranging from salads to Mexican food to pasta. And while their lunch and dinner options are great, my personal favorite menu is brunch. Nothing beats their eggs Benedict in my opinion.
Longtime favorite "gourmet pub" food. Standouts are the Ahi Tuna Salad and baked nachos, but everything on the menu is great! Nice selection of local brewery's best beers on tap.
We arrived shortly after 4. Easy parking in the lot. No one . Pretty much all the tables available on the main floor and outside balcony on a gorgeous evening. Greeted by the hostess, "Just two? Upstairs okay?" Absolutely not. After being granted the honor of a table on the main floor nside, the service and food were fabulous.
Great experience and great food. We got their shrimp as an appetizer and they were not too heavily fried but still tasty. We also got the club sandwich and the fish tacos. Wait staff was great. The serving sizes were large, you will leave full.
“Porcuspine Pub Grill offers an exceptional view. It’s nestled in a mountainous setting, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere that’s perfect for enjoying during the winter months. The experience on their terrace during spring and summer is equally delightful, with breathtaking sunset views.
However, my experience with the service has been somewhat uneven. I’ve visited Porcuspine Pub Grill on three different occasions, and each time, the waitstaff seemed to be in a hurry to attend to us. On one visit, when I only wanted a drink, their attitude was a bit off-putting because I didn’t order an additional dish. I believe they could improve in this aspect, as a more attentive and friendly service would enhance the overall experience.
Another aspect that left me uncomfortable was the insistence of the waitstaff on reminding me to leave a tip. While I understand tipping is common practice, the way it was done felt somewhat pushy. They could address this matter more subtly without making customers feel pressured.
In summary, Porcuspine Pub Grill offers a spectacular setting and a charming atmosphere, but their service could benefit from improved friendliness and customer attention.”
Aidan was a great server, friendly and attentive. We ordered the French Dip with side salad and 12 Buffalo wings to enjoy during the Eagles game. Everything came out great and the food was tasty. Wing sauce flavor was traditional Buffalo with a tangy and sweet texture to it. Nice side of carrots and celery to top off the plate as well. French dip had a nice size serving and a cup of Au jus on the side for dipping. All in all a good stop to make when coming down from snowboarding all day at Brighton. Eagles won so we were happy.
Good food, large serving sizes. Variety of beers on top. Always busy, usually a wait to be seated.
Lunch was really good and the location is okay. Some of the staff are very friendly and really trying. But you should just come here for the delicious meals.
Probably my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City and one of the two I always take out of town visitors. Its location at the mouth of Big Cottonwood Canyon is spectacular, especially during summer days when outdoor seating is available. Portions are well sized, service is always impeccable and the food tastes great. Highly recommend for any visitors to Salt Lake City.
