Kyoto Japanese Restaurant - Salt Lake City - Photo album

I’ve been here several times over the years and was pleased with the most recent visit. Glad to see they are consistent with their offerings and service. The food was super delicious and the service was very accommodating. I am also happy to see that this place has sustained itself all these years e
Over the past year I've eaten at Kyoto well over a dozen times; it's my favorite sushi place in Salt Lake City and I've tried a few. The fish here is amazing. Sushi chefs Marlene and Peggy are especially friendly, while being experts at their craft. Complementing the excellent sushi is a huge menu o
This is our second visit to kyoto restaurant, and the last one was 3 years back, but we wanted to go back here with a bigger group. We went with family and requested to be seated in their family room . The seating is very cool japanese style and the food was incredible. I was very impressed with the
Really good overall. The rice that our nigiri was made from was dry enough that it broke apart when trying to eat it. That was the only issue we had with the food. Still very enjoyable.
Absolutely amazing! It's really a step above restaurants in Utah. Make sure you set a reservation, parking is limited. The 'booth' we sat in was very japanese style, with options to not kneel. The atmosphere was great, I have not been to Japan, but it's probably the closest thing Utah will get. Our
First time dining here and I will happily return again. The food was delicious and tasted fresh. The portions of the sushi were perfect and very filling. The waitress was very polite and prompt. The restaurant itself was very clean did not feel crowded. I would recommend this place to anyone!
Ok, they are a busy restaurant and suggest reservations. But they still were quite accommodating! Food... Only compliments and kudos for the quality and preparation of the rolls! Service was great, friendly and and top of dishes and drinks. Definitely coming back!
Was a wonderful experience with great food for a good price. The sashimi was fantastic and a large selection of different fish. The steak was super tender and good as well as the salad and soup. I did not find anything I did not like. If you want value the dinner combination is great amount of food
Sat at the sushi bar and had a great meal service was good and fast from the chef’s. Had 16 piece sashimi and a excellent Lobster roll. Very well done by the chef. The dry sake was pricey for the quantity 24- for two small glass cups.
High quality, fresh sushi, easily one of the best spots for it in salt lake. Our server was super friendly and I appreciate the effort they put into creating a good ambiance, it’s noticeable.
We absolutely love this place. Some of the best sushi in the valley possibly even in the state. And it’s not just the sushi that is divine, their other Japanese cuisine is highly recommended as well. Friendly staff and it is a Japanese restaurant that I think is as authentic as can be. Kyoto is a po
We went for a birthday dinner and tried a bunch of things on the menu, some nigiri, tekka maki, kappa maki, negihama, agedashi tofu, sipder roll, miso soup, cucumber salad, salmon and roe bowl, and tempura veggies. All the food was good, though the nigiri felt a bit old.
I came here for my birthday. It's the best sushi I've had in Salt Lake. We sat at the bar and each roll we had was delicious. Our sushi chef was Addison, and they made not only great sushi, but also great conversation. It made for a fun day and wonderful experience.
The atmosphere is really what sets Kyoto apart. The inside is adorably traditional and I loved the wait staff wearing casual yukata! Next time I would love to get a booth where you can kneel if you wish, which is an awesome custom you don't often see in the West. As for the sushi, you can taste the
Best Japanese restaurant in SLC hands down! We love their sushi and recommend the agadashi tofu for a starter. The service is fast and conscientious. We enjoy splitting a bottle of their plum wine as a table. We got their green tea mochi for dessert last time and it was delicious!! Definitely visit
This was first time going...we were seated right away and Ping, the waitresses quickly makes you feel at home..could tell when struggling to decide what to order and helped make suggestions to help get what was desired... The restaurant is nice with a Japanese feel and the food was exquisite. Sashim
I've been wanting to try this place for a while, finally got around to it tonight. The restaurant is kind of in the middle of a neighborhood, but you can't miss it when you see it. The atmosphere inside was awesome and the Japanese seating and decor really added to the experience. The servers were
