I LOVE HER!!!! I’ve been to Blue Gene’s twice since their opening and plan to return. I already have plans to bring out of town friends to the brunch that Blue Gene’s offers. The vibes are impeccable, the staff is attentive, the pictures DO NOT do it justice, and the food comes out fast. P.s. the cranberry marmalade mimosa tops my list. I will be back! Can’t say enough!

First time here for the brunch at it was very good. The vibe and set up of the whole place is really fun and relaxing. The service was good and so was the food. Some of it was a little rushed but still tasty.

Possibly the best breakfast restaurant in Utah or possibly the USA!! We arrived on a Sat am at 10am and had to wait a while for table availability as they were packed! The waitress was friendly and quick with refills! A big up to the kitchen for getting the food out quick! I had the Asian Pork Belly breakfast bowl which was superb! My wife enjoyed the pancakes which were huge and became my dessert👌. Overall fantastic breakfast experience!!!

So it didn't open until 9:00 but the door was unlocked at 8:45 and they let us come in and sit down. The breakfast was great, and the atmosphere and design were awesome too. Someone or some people had and thought through ALL the details because it was awesome. From the pictures, to the layout and design, the menus and the napkins--fabulous. Now, that being said, the girl that served us was good and professional, but she seemed bugged. Maybe a coworker was late, there was another girl that showed up a little bit after opening so maybe they were short-handed because it seemed like she was the only server for a while...But overall awesome.

Yup yup yup. If you’re looking for a good brunch or eating experience than this place is your go to. The food was great and the coffee was awesome. Staff was friendly and the place e had lots of room but also easy to converse too. Would go again for sure.

Went here for brunch. The chicken biscuit sandwich was AWESOME! The pork belly bowl was just OK, I don’t think they used actual pork belly. I also didn’t notice how much they decreased their menu options before we went. Fresh OJ was excellent though

Love the update to the former Rye space - definitely hits more of those Jersey diner feels. Most of the menu is pretty similar to the older - minus removing the chicken & biscuits with gravy as a menu item 😭 Luckily the waitress brought us the gravy on the side to complete the fantasy.

Met a good friend for brunch, but I'm allergic to eggs (never fun at any breakfast spot) - so, I ended up ordering the Vegan Hash. I'm not a vegan, so I did not have high expectations.... Wrong. It was delicious! Lots of garlic and flavor and it was all cooked perfectly. Nice vibe, pleasant waitress. Next time I'll see if they can throw sausage in it...

Great, moody atmosphere. A good place for foodies. Balanced portions. I ordered the duck and I’ve never tasted such tender and flavorful duck. The sauces and marinade were also very well balanced. Good beer selection but they definitely are geared more towards whisky.

Kitschy downtown diner. Food was above average and on the unique side, lovely linens and glassware. I ordered the mushroom toast and a gin. Went here for the entertainment, they were amazing. Great space for live music. Support local talent! The service is why it has 4 stars, wish I could give this cute place 5 but the service was pretty slow (I think she forgot about us cause she took forever to get our order). Don't worry though, I'll come back someday and give it another shot.

Probably the best breakfast I’ve have in SLC so far. I like that they have non traditional breakfast options and their Bloody Mary/mimosas prices are 👌🏼 also very cool ambiance

Trendy atmosphere, friendly staff. The wait was quite long, which I won't hold against them since I do understand that there's limited capacity due to covid, it was a weekend, and valentines day nonetheless. My one critical point would be the temperature of my food. It was frankly, cold. The flavors were good. I'd certainly give it another try at a less busy time.

We enjoyed the urban loft/ industrial feel. The food was well presented and we enjoyed it. We had the French toast, whisky waffle (with egg and pork belly) and the duck breakfast bowl. It all went well with the drip coffee and kombucha.

The Rye is one of our favorite spots in downtown! Thefood is good. The interior is well-designed. The place is clean (esp the restroom). And most of all, they have great customer service. There's a few parking spots infornt of the resto but you can also park on the side street for access and just walk a bit. They also have a "You are safe here" sign on their window which I absolutely love! 💙

Welcoming atmosphere and service. Great service. I had the Smoked salmon bowl substitue rice and quinoa with brussel sprouts. Quality ingredients prepared well. My wife's BLT also looked very good. I would recommend a meal here.

Amazing food! So classy but still great prices. Favorites were the brioche French toast, keifer pancakes, pork belly sandwich, salmon, and the pomegranate panna cotta. Can't wait to go again! Great restaurant that is really involved with the community.

The food is really good but service can be a little slow. I am not critical everyone has busy days or bad days but the last few times we have been in it's taken 40 minutes before we get our order in. Management however has been super friendly and wanting to make things right.
