SLC has a very spoiled vegan community that always finds something to complain about. This bakery shouldn’t be one of them. High quality ingredients and friendly, hard working staff. Not to mention the food is created by a chef with a degree in pastry. Good food and treats made with love, in a stylish French style patisserie setting, and a continuously growing and changing menu.
My first visit today and all I can say is WOW! This shop is incredible and the pastries are phenomenal. This is a MUST VISIT when in SLC. Your first bite will have you coming back for more. I recommend one of everything - ha ha! But seriously, the chocolate mousse if the best I've ever tasted and the croissants are the real deal - but not (all vegan).
Here's the deal folks, the owner has spent years perfecting her craft to bring vegan pastries into the mainstream with the authentic taste of the French pastries. You won't believe these are vegan. So delicious.
Go on, what are you waiting for??? Get down to the shop and pick up some croissants for breakfast tomorrow. I guarantee you won't regret it. This girl has talent.
Fuck yeah vegan pastry shop. The crepe was decent- didn't blow me away but it was good. The coffee was on point!
Passion Flour recently did the cake for our August 6th wedding at Louland Falls and I cannot thank them enough! Our cake was to die for!! It was so beautiful and decorated exactly as I had envisioned. From our tasting earlier in the year to our wedding day Jessica was just awesome to work with. She is truly so talented and her cakes taste as good as they look. If you are vegan this is the obvious choice for your cake but even if you are not you don't need to be to appreciate how good this french patisserie is. If you want to impress your guests and have melt in your mouth deliciousness then the search stops here. They are simply the best I've ever had! Thank you Jessica and everyone at Passion Flour for being a part of our big day and making it perfect :) - Jason & Corinne Morton
You won't find anything like this place anywhere else! The owner is an incredibly talented pastry chef and everything on the menu is immaculate. I love the almond croissant! A must try.
Love everything at this place. Shalyn (sorry if misspelled) and Jessica are always so helpful and friendly. The banana tart and ham and cheese croissant are to die for!! Would eat here everyday if I lived near by.
It's nice as a vegan to be able to go into a place and not have to worry about what I can and cannot get! We got the crepes and eggs benedict which were both delicious! Took an assortment of baked goods for the road which were all just as good.
It makes my heart and stomach happy to have such amazing vegan options here in Utah. I have never had a bad experience here. Thank you!!!
Excellent and kind service and amazing food!!! I highly recommend this place!!
great organic & vegan bakery in the city of salt. really one of the few treats in the city I will eat. great job jessica & crew, keep it up!
Where City Cakes failed to help me get a cake for my brother's birthday, Passion Flour came through with flying colors! When I called, the nice lady on the phone explained that the specialty cake baker was out of town so I couldn't get the carrot cake I'd hope for, but she let me know what cakes I could get. She was informative and friendly. When I asked that a message be written on my cake, she said she didn't have much experience writing with icing but she would do her best. The cake was beautiful and guests at the party RAVED about the flavor. And her writing looked just fine. :) It was moist, flavorful, and simply delicious. Most importantly, my brother loved it. Thanks SO much!! I HIGHLY recommend Passion Flour!

Great staff. Wonderful food!! Glad we stopped by.
I’ve always been a big fan of their food. It doesn’t matter if you’re vegan or not, those croissants are divine. But I’ve become an even bigger fan of their lattes.
I hate to admit that I was a Starbucks girlie. (I think it’s just because they were one of the first major chains to have vegan alternatives.) But their prices have increased exponentially. My drink is now $11.03 before tip at Starbucks. (Not to mention all of the union busting they’ve been doing which just makes the coffee taste even worse when you know that they’re evil).
I’m not a black coffee or cold brew type. I need my sweet treat. And Passion Flour has been knocking it out of the park with their flavored latte options for less than half the price I’d pay elsewhere.
It’s become apart of my weekly ritual, when I sneak away from my at home office and get a little sweet coffee treat. And everything taste better when you know it’s going to a local small business 🫶
Ps
I think it’s cool to be a small, local, vegan food business that does everything they can to ensure their employees have a livable wage. I think we can all agree that most corporations that have profit margins in the billions can’t even say the same for their workers.
The baked goods and coffee at Passion Flour are INCREDIBLE! High quality, great and unique flavors, I stop in every chance I get. From a cost perspective, the 18% auto gratuity is minimal and worth it to ensure the employees are paid a fair wage with the rising costs. If we can afford to be purchasing delicious baked goods made for us by others, we can afford this addition to our check.
Delicious vegan pastries! My husband also loved his mocha! I’d say it’s a little pricey but for a special treat it is worth it!
It's a quaint establishment that's biggest attraction for me is EVERYTHING is vegan. I've seen others mention that the price to quantity ratio is disproportionate and I somewhat agree but I also assume it's because the ingredients used are (hopefully) of higher quality. I've come here often for brunch with friends or by myself to study and I think it's worth the cost. All the food I've tried tastes wonderful, especially the raspberry pop tarts and the chocolate croissants. My favorite savory item is the ricotta and heirloom tomato toast with balsamic vinaigrette (see attached pic). Admittedly, the service has been hit and miss but I've had more positive than negative experiences. Overall, if you can afford a $5-6+ pastry or $10+ entree with an equally or greater priced latte, I recommend checking this place out! <3
Good place to indulge in a vegan treat. Stopped by for a mid afternoon coffee with dessert and we were satisfied with the latte, cupcake, and macaron. I can't attest to other dishes but they looked good. Place was very clean. Only downsides: Be prepared for a 18% surcharge. I didn't mind this (we had good service) but I feel that if I am paying premium prices to dine-in I would like my food and drink served on real dishware rather than to-go containers.
I’m not vegan, but I’ve been a fan of passion flour since the day they opened. Everything is so divine, but my favorite happens to be the almond croissant.
You can tell the amount of love and care that goes into everything on the menu. Nothing disappoints. I also appreciate that the auto gratuity insures each person makes a living wage. I am happy to support passion flour and if you haven’t tried it, you have to run there immediately!!
This is one of my favorite vegan spots ever! Amazing food, service, and pastries. They also get 5 stars for taking good care of their staff! Thanks Passion Flour
What a great place. If it wasn't rare enough to find vegan french pastries, this place doesn't just have croissants. There are chocolate pain au Chocolat, vegan ham and cheese, st horn, and all kinds of exquisite treats! Plus they have a full, delicious brunch menu. Yes, it isn't cheap, but... When is the last time you had some really high quality vegan french pastries??
First time here, the atmosphere is very nice and sort of cozy, the guy was very easy to work with and his service was good. Coffee is pretty good here and the vegan pastries are great for kids with allergies. Reason for a 4 star is the lady that was there, she was very cold towards our kids and not kind whatsoever.
The inside is very cute and has a lot of seating. I really enjoy their coffees and teas. The best part is that they make all their syrup flavors in house, and they are amazing!
Every bite is as good as it looks, zero disappointment there.
The same can be said of the London Fog and Americano, smooth, just the right temp, so easy to guzzle down.
Thank you for making it a treat for us.
Every time I crave vegan desserts, I come to passion flour! My favorite is the almond croissant and the pop tarts. For this trip, we got the muddy chocolate cupcake, lemon tart, almond croissant, and the snickerdoodle cookie. We also got some coffee!
It’s a nice place to sit and enjoy some pastries. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars is the price and their food menu, it’s alright. Come for the pastries!
Went to Passion Flour for the first time and really enjoyed their molasses cookie and horchata cappuccino. The atmosphere is really fun and there are lots of places to sit. I was disappointed by the service. The person behind the counter was very unhelpful when asked about menu items and was standoffish.
I love this place. The lavender oak milk latte is one of the best I’ve had and every treat I’ve paired it with was delicious. The staff is always polite and attentive, even when they are busy. I read through some of their one-star reviews and couldn't agree with what anyone said, but really respected the thoughtful responses from the owner providing helpful insight and advice. TIP: if you are looking for a local gift for a friend/family, pick up their pre-boxed variety pack of macarons.
