Definitely hit everything on point that they should, the king salmon sashimi and unagi were amazing. Props to Moose and Abby. Fabulous time. I hear it's a must to hit their happy hour.

Not the best sushi I've ever had but this is a solid option in SLC. Had a nice date here on a weeknight. It wasn't super busy and the service was great. We had some good food and I tried a pear sake that was recommended by the waitress and really enjoyed it!

This is a local favorite of mine. A close friend and I used to dine here regularly and now my wife and I frequent here. The atmosphere is wonderful and I always appreciate how friendly the wait staff is. We enjoy their traditional sushi, tempora shrimp and veggies, and their teriyaki chicken. They had a special on their traditional sushi rolls the last time we were there as well. Definitely recommend this place.

Fried cheesecake is absolutely amazing, as is the salad! Better than it looks cause I ate a lot of it before remembering to take a photo. They were out of a few things, but overall it was a great experience and very good food.

I was on the hunt for Ramen and wasn't disappointed in finding myself here. The ramen was good and so was the sake. The atmosphere feels authentic which just elevates the entire experience. The service was a little spotty and I found myself waiting around to ask for certain things I needed, including the check. The employees were very nice, though. Skip the place next door which is a generic chain and come here instead if you're looking for ramen.

Has become my go-to sushi restaurant in town! Sushi is dependably delicious. Maybe not quite to Takashi level quality, but you also don’t need to wait for 2 hours in line or plan your entire evening around getting a reservation here - so I’d say that’s worth it! Service can sometimes be a little slow, but the prices are really reasonable compared to other top sushi places like Sapa, Tsunami, Takashi, etc, and the food is fresh and delicious, and rolls are creative! Open late, no need for reservations, tasty - and even their to-go food is fantastic. Highly recommend for anyone who wants great sushi at a decent price without a wait.

Kaze is my favorite place to get sushi in salt lake city, hands down. the food, service and atmosphere all speak for themselves. everything from the plating & presentation to the amazing quality of the fish here is just exceptional and outstanding. when compared to other sushi spots nearby, including takashi, hamachi, and more, this place is more affordable, well rounded, and unique in general from all the rest, it just truly shines!! my girlfriend and i are regulars and will continue to enjoy the food here as long as we can. our favorite server, Markie, (please forgive me if i spelled your name wrong haha) is always so helpful and does a fantastic job. i cannot stress how much i love and recommend this place.

Great sushi, the sunset was fresh tasting and the Vegas had the perfect amount of tempura. Nice atmosphere, but a little chilly inside. Clean. Not busy, surprisingly on a Friday night, but perfect that we didn’t have to wait.

The sushi is really delicious and fresh! Nice presentation, and nice ambience. Service was ok, nothing more than the ordinary. Music was really good! They need to add something for this place to be a hit in Salt Lake. Needs more character. It has everything to succeed. Very clean and the food is on point!

The service was quick, the atmosphere was pleasant and the decorations modern, and the food was delicious. Best sushi I've had in awhile. Our waitress was attentive and helpful without being overbearing and all of our food arrived in a timely manner. The edamame portion sizes was generous. We ordered the Philly, Spider, spicy salmon, and Ichigo, and we're pleasantly surprised with each. I wish we would've known about happy hour because we arrived just as it ended, but we were able to use a Groupon and save a little bit regardless. Overall an amazing sushi joint and great food for the price.

Excellent sushi! My wife and I have gone here a few times and loved it. The rolls are awesome for me and she loves the unagi don. Tons of great stuff to try here. Great selection of sake too! Definitely will be back!

How do you describe a wonderful place? We stopped in on a peaceful Sunday afternoon. We were here for a couple of nights on a long road trip from Florida. Woke up in the Tetons at 49 degrees, ended up in Salt Lake at 100. I found Kaze on Google Maps, and it was very close to our hotel. They have a great menu. We had the pork tonkatsu ramen, salmon skin salad, sushi and sashimi, couple of glasses of wine and two Sapporo beers. Unbelievable meal. The physical restaurant is neat, our server very nice. Our favorite reggae playing in the background. Hard to beat. The prices are very reasonable.

The thing about Kaze is the sauces. The fish is fine but unremarkable. But their sauces are really delicious. All of the flavor combinations. I like the atmosphere. Casual and friendly.

Nice little Sushi place, very clean and comfortable with a large selection of sake, beers and wine with some fun cocktails also. Somewhat limited selection of sashimi but many rolls to choose from. If you order alcohol and go during Happy Hour you can expect a bill of $60 - $100 before tip, for 2 people. Parking is downtown, so meter or City Creek and a walk.
