We came here for our family Christmas dinner. I brought my two young children with me and we were greeted at the door by Chef Jason. The atmosphere is welcoming and extremely family friendly. Chef Jason made my son a special mac and cheese that wasn't on the menu! The food was fantastic and the service was on point. I would come back many times over. We had an excellent experience and I would recommend everyone come check this place out!

This was by far the BEST food I've eaten in a very long time. The steak was fabulous and was so tender you could literally cut it with a butter knife. The wine menu is eclectic and paired perfectly with the menu. And The staff was amazing...they were so friendly and helpful....all in all, it made the dining experience superb. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting a wonderful meal and dining experience!

The owner/chef came out to greet us after our order was taken. He was warm and hospitable and clearly loves seeing people enjoy a meal in his restaurant. I had the crab and avocado appetizer. So delicious! Then I had the Cajun Angels which were bacon wrapped jumbo shrimp served with risotto and mixed vegetables. The Angels had a kick to them and I loved it! Everything was very good and I would highly recommend this quaint intimate restaurant. It's a gem!

The best steak I have had hands down. I come from Last Vegas Nevada were they say they have the best steak. Well I disagree this is the best. Are waiter Art was awesome we were very well taken care of. I didn't expect the top quality of service I received. Thank u I will recommend this place to all my friends and family that come in to town.

The lunchtime deli experience is always incredible. Jason has the best taste combinations and portion sizes in the business. All of his staff are friendly and helpful, but the amazing woman manning the order window has got to be one of my favorite people in the world! The lunchtime experience is ALWAYS a highlight to my day/week.

Peasant Village is undoubtedly the best restaurant in San Angelo. Honestly, it puts most of my favorite Dallas restaurants to shame. Chef Jason's food is masterful without being complicated. I am always impressed with every dish I try.

I definitely would recommend this place above all! I absolutely love the atmosphere and speedy service even when the line is out the door! This place stays packed for a reason! Rating it from a 1-10 I would give it a 12.

Absolutely wonderful meal from the French onion soup, tenderest fillet I've ever eaten, fantastic sauce, delicious house merlot, beautifully presented and delicious creme brûlée. The service is impeccable and the chef comes out to visit with you! Best restaurant in San Angelo and the perfect place for a special dinner.

We always enjoy ourselves at Jason's the rib eye steaks were great cooked just right and so thick it's hard to eat the whole steak. We have never had desert there because the meal is always so filling. But the deserts look really good maybe next time. Thanks Jason had a great time again!

This place is premier, whether it be the sandwiches, apps, snacky hour on Sunday and Monday, or the dinner. Top-notch grub. The custard is best ever there. Staff are solid and know the food. Go!!!

Had the Port wine chicken - it was delicious, so was the Shiraz wine! We had a very large party and the chef was out there serving with the wait staff - good to see a team effort! Thanks for making Adric's grad party delicious!

Best shrimp and grits I have ever eaten! The chef is passionate about his cooking and loves to please the customers. The trip is out of the way from our usual route back to the Panhandle, but well worth it. We shall return!

The food was really good, but not quite to five stars given the price point. Calamari was ok but could have used any type of seasoning, pretty bland. Aged steak had a nice crust and was good and tender, but again could have used some seasoning. The toffee pudding was a knockout though, as were the cocktails! The water they served was filtered tap water and tasted terrible, either the filter needs replacing or get water delivered for a higher end place like this.

After asking friends where to go for a high end restaurant, Peasant Village was recommended by everyone. The restaurant is located in an old house which has been updated to accommodate guests with seating and decorations. I didn't see any parking lot but there is ample street parking near by. Reservations are recommended since seating is limited. The menu is seasonal, so the food is always changing. I ordered the ribeye and my wife got the salmon puff. The server recommended the truffle fries for a side and my wife requested the mashed potatoes. The service was amazing, drinks were being refilled regularly and plates were cleared in a timely manner before the next plate came out. After we finished eating Chef Jason introduced himself and asked if we enjoyed our meal. We ended the evening with key lime pie for dessert. I enjoyed the food and the service and would recommend coming here if you are looking for a high end restaurant in San Angelo.

Excellent dining experience. Very good old fashioned. The red fish with etouffee was awesome. Pricey, but worth it. You get what you pay for. Arguably the best upscale spot in town. Very exclusive. Great ambiance. Awesome spot for a first date or anniversary.

Excellent from start to finish. Cocktail was an old fashioned with a delectable amount of smoke. Apps were calamari and mozzarella. Main was snapper with garlic potatoes, shrimp and crab cakes. Cheesecake to finish. Phenomenal flavor, and best service in San Angelo so far.

Great to see Chef Jason is still at it. I last lived in San Angelo back in '08. We would have lunch at his Deli, then dinner at the PV Restaurant; many times during my half-year in town. He's a perfectionist, so don't be surprised if he comes back to your table with more of what you ordered; even though it was FAN-FRIGGIN'-TASTIC, the first time. A true gem in Texas.

Very expensive, but also some very good food. We had an awesome waiter and even though my parents steak was cold that replaced it no problem. Waiter took our picture and the whole dining experience was unforgettable. Make sure you understand this is fine dining and you can easily spend a lot of money.
